Haylee was amazing!!!! We were in town for an unexpected family emergency and we needed a dog sitter. We weren't able to do a pre meet....but Haylee was gracious to accept us anyway. My dogs were well taken care of and happy when we arrived to pick them up. Due to the emergency I appreciated Haylee's flexibly on extending the stay for the dogs.

Joy (and Gus) were gracious hosts for our Hattie girl! This was our first Rover experience and it couldn’t have been better. Joy was super responsive and easy to communicate with. She cared well for Hattie, playing with her, walking her, and sharing pictures and updates throughout her stay. We won’t hesitate to use Joy again and I’m sure Gus won’t mind either. 😁

About: Hi! My name is Alec! I’m a 29 year old registered behavior technician in Alexandria, MN. My hobbies and interests include cooking, skiing, reading, camping, and cleaning. I am originally from Wheaton, Minnesota, but moved to Oahu in September of 2021. I’m back in MN for the summer and would love to babysit, walk, and spoil your wonderful pets to earn extra-cash and avoid missing my own kitty in Hawaii! I have experience with dogs and cats, and am comfortable with puppies and kittens, elderly and disabled pets, or animals with any special conditions. If you have any questions about me, feel free to reach out. I cant wait to meet you and your precious pets! I have a variable work schedule, so I can often fit visits in at random times. On days that I have off I would love to spend the day spoiling your furry friends. I will follow your instructions to the letter, and ensure the safety of your pet before beginning any activity. I would never take any risks with your precious pooches!

Megan and her family were great with our dog, Mazie. I had no doubt she was well cared for and had plenty of attention. Megan is super nice and easy to work with and they were happy to accommodate when we needed to extend our trip. We are from out of state and found Megan on Rover, we are so glad we did and will definitely be booking with her again while we are here. They treated our fur baby like family and we are so grateful. Megan sent me pictures and updates everyday. Thank you so much Megan to you and your family for taking care of Mazie!

About: I've always been the one friends and family call when they need someone to watch their dogs, and I've loved every minute of it. I never had a dog growing up because of allergies in my family, so this is my way of getting my dog fix! I love spending time with dogs, whether it's going for walks, playing, or just hanging out. I'll make sure your pup gets lots of attention, love, and care while you're away. I currently work full-time, but I'm available before and after work during the week and have open availability on the weekends. My available schedule is: Monday–Thursday: Before 7:30 AM Monday: 1:30-2:30pm Monday: After 7:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday: After 2:00 PM Wednesday: After 4:30 PM Friday–Sunday: Available all day I'm happy to work with you to find a time that works best! My goal is to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible while you're away, whether that means sticking to their feeding schedule, going on walks, playing, or just giving them plenty of attention and company. I want you to have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for in their own home.

About: I have a 10 year old black lab who has brought me years of happiness. Unfortunately, his activity is limited these days and I miss our long walks and trips to the lake. I've had cats and dogs my entire life (our family also includes 2 tuxedo cats) and enjoy their company and the hours of entertainment and love they give. I am retired from nursing but still have a desire to work and find this line of work to be very rewarding in many ways. Your pet will be loved and cared for in the same way mine are and I'm sure will bring me just as much joy. I am retired and can offer multiple days and times to care for your pet in a caring setting; no need to worry about them. My black lab, lives a pretty charmed life. He is an indoor dog with access to a large yard and an abundance of bones, toys and love to keep him happy. He likes his routine and I understand how important that can be for your pet. He is safely secured in our yard when outside and comfortable inside with his orthopedic beds, and he deserves it all. Our cats are indoor cats and tolerate other dogs well and also live a pretty charmed life.

About: I have never lived without a dog in my life, my family trains hunting dogs so I am very familiar with training and dog behaviors. I currently work two part time jobs, one more part time then the other but I'm available on weekends and wednesdays and weekdays after 3pm. I have one pup of my own who is very friendly and loves to make friends and a large unfenced yard, can crate if needed but the crate would need to be provided.

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Glenwood home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glenwood.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Glenwood sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
