“Elizabeth and Phillip took great care of Hannah, and kept us informed and up to date with messages and pictures. Would certainly engage their services again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about these folks. To start, they spent an hour with me and Benny (my pup) in advance of my trip and introduced us to their place. Benny loved the big backyard and I could tell he immediately felt at home. During my trip, I received daily videos of Benny playing with other dogs or being loved on, which made me feel good knowing I was so far away from home. Benny is such a good dog and I am grateful to have connected with people as equally good and loving. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

“Michael took such great care of Sierra! He went above and beyond to make sure she was completely comfortable, and the daily updates and photos he provided gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear he genuinely loves animals, and Sierra absolutely adored him. I highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive pet sitter, and will definitely be booking with him again!”

“Jian was the answer to our prayers. Not only did she take excellent care of Louis she constantly updated us with sweet texts and pictures. I couldn’t have found anyone better. I would be very happy to have her care for Louis again. I honestly cannot say enough great things about her. She was excellent”

“Boone, and his family, are in love with Sharon D. She is extremely genuine and caring. She is very thoughtful and sent many pictures/videos while we were on vacation. Her attention to detail for our fur baby made us like her even more. This was our first time using Rover and she made the experience so simple and easy to trust. I would HIGHLY recommend Sharon D!!!”

“Eliane was amazing!!! She made us feel so comfortable and provided regular updates with great photos. She took our dog on long walks and spent quality time with her throughout our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our dog!”

“Meela created a wonderful home away from home for Archer. She and her pups were welcoming and we got lots of updates and photos, which were wonderful because the kids wanted to know that he was having a good time and didn’t miss them. We are looking forward to having Meela pet sit again!”

“Sarah and Dan did an amazing job taking care of our fur baby! I loved the fact that they gave us daily updates and pictures without us asking. I always feel like Im bothering the sitter if I ask for updates so I really appreciated all the updates! Loki seemed to really enjoy his stay with Sarah and Dan and we will definitely be using them in the future and recommending them to everyone.”

“Miller had the best time! Highly recommend Sean and his services. He gives updates and a peace of mind while you’re away! He truly enjoys spending time with your furry friends!”

“I was so anxious about leaving Lucy overnight with someone new. Oliver really seemed to understand and appreciate that. I got nice photos of Lucy hanging out and when I picked her up they invited her back even though she stole a hamburger. Oilver did a great job with Lucy who tends to be scared of new people but I could tell Lucy got great outside time, played with other dogs and was tired when she got home. I Wil Def. Recommend and bring Lucy back when I need someone again.”

“I’m so happy we chose Kaitlin for our time using Rover. She was super quick responding to any questions we had and our dog was comfortable and had a great time. Would definitely book with her again!!”

“Alexa was wonderful with our dogs. They came home smiling and seemed to really enjoy spending time with her and her dog. She was very good at communicating and sending picture updates. We will definitely use her again!”

About: Hi! I am a dog lover and have had one since I was a kiddo. I have had small, medium and large breeds. I do not have any dogs that live with me in Louisville so all my attention and affection will be on your pup! My boyfriend and I have a Belgian Malinois and a German Shepard which I live with part time that I miss so much when I am in Louisville. Which is why I am doing Rover - to spend time with pups when I am not with mine. I work from home so your pup will get tons of time, walks, love and affection. Your pup will snuggle with me at night if they like as well. I have a fully fenced backyard but prefer not to leave dogs outside alone so they will always be supervised. I am very sensitive to dogs needs and will work to ensure that they feel safe and loved while they are with me. No crate training or crate needed - they are free to roam the house. Please reach out with any questions and I look forward to meeting your fur baby! I work from home so am typically there almost all day. I run out occasionally on an errand but a normal includes me being with your pup 22/24 hours! I have a fully fenced yard and live in a great neighborhood for walks. I have plenty of space in the house for your pup to explore and play.
About: I have many years of caring for my own cats (Jack & Jill growing up, and my foster cat Bucky now) as well as lots of experience dog-walking and home-sitting throughout college. I absolutely love making new friends with your pets and am happy to provide them less time alone or in their kennels I still have full-time work to accommodate (from 9am-3:30pm), but I work remote and am able to be flexible. I am available most evenings and weekends. Unfortunately my apartment makes me unavailable to provide care for pets away from your home. I look forward to caring for your pets in your yards, neighborhoods, or local dog parks however. I don't object to taking pets for a car ride if they enjoy those as well
“Li was very accommodating. It was our first time using Rover and our circumstances were less than ideal (she had not met our 9mo Australian Shepard, it was last minute and we found out day of that our pup needed to wear an E-collar for the 4 night stay). I was less than hopeful but Li pulled through for us and was nothing less than helpful. Would use her again any time”

“Dallas and her fiancé were absolutely amazing! This was our first time leaving our boy Maverick with someone new, and they did everything we asked and more. They took him to the park, walked normally, and followed our instructions to a t. Another piece to add on, I planned badly and needed a sitter last second. They were super flexible and opened up their home, which worked to perfection. Maverick also made some new friends with their two dogs, Annie and Ringo! I highly recommend Dallas and her fiancé anyone! They will be our first call anytime we need Maverick to be taken care of!!”

“Amanda was amazing with our 4 year old Vizsla. She treated her like a queen and helped our anxious dog feel right at home. I will definitely use Amanda again and can’t recommend her enough.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Glenview Manor home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glenview Manor.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Glenview Manor sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
