Kenan greeted Hank (our dog) by sitting on the ground and allowing Hank to see that he was safe. Kenan also took Hank and his new friend, Paco (another dog) on a long walk on their beautiful farm, and knew when it was time to provide some down time. Hank came home happy and exhausted, and he will undoubtedly be returning to the farm!”

About: I currently have a 17year old Yorkie and my 14 year old Maltese just passed away in February. I can provide top tier care for your baby. I have plenty of time to care for your pups! I am available any day or anytime of the week. I specialize in walking, playtime, meals, in home sitting or care, runs to the dog store for pups needs, vet visits, and rides to the groomer (or I can bathe them). I keep my Yorkie in my home. He can still jump, hop, skip, run, and play at 17. We don't have a fenced yard at the moment, but I take him to the park often for play. We walk often for excercise. He definitely eats very well! I can easily take your pup to the park, crate them, let them out in your back yard, and make sure your pups have food and water.

About: I’ve watched after many dogs, cats, and even bunnies of all ages since I was 12. While neighbors would go on vacation, they would rely on me to go over to their houses at least 3 times a day. I have three dogs myself and have been on ROVER for over a year. Usually my dad will come with me for meet and greets/first visits. About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. P.S. Rover says my response rate is 50%, but that's only because when I've been looking for a sitter for my own dogs and someone tells me in a message that they are unavailable, I don't usually respond. I just keep looking for an available sitter, so the software assumes I have a low response rate. 🙄 I work from home, so I'm almost always available unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: I have worked at a farm since I was nine years old handling horses. My last job was at Dogwood kennel where I took care of dogs which included, feeding them cleaning up and taking them on walks. I have two of my own dogs who I helped potty train as well. I am a college student so I am very available on breaks but unfortunately that’s it for now until summer. I love dogs so I make myself very available when I am home. I have given meds to dogs and horses and administered shots to both as well. My yard is well kept and fenced. I am home most of the time with my dogs.
