“Amber was amazing with our fur babies. This was our first time ever leaving our dogs with anyone, so we were super nervous. She made us feel so comfortable by assuring us they would be in good hands. For every day they were away from us, she sent us photos and made sure to let us know about their day. Our pups had such a good time. You can tell in the photos, they felt right at home.”

“Christy and her family are the absolute best in taking such good care of my little Jazzy. Their home is absolutely beautiful and they allow him to truly be part of their family by laying on the sofa and the bed which is what he is so used to. I can always go away and have peace of mind knowing that my dog is being loved and taken good care of by Christy and her wonderful family.”

She took the time to understand his needs and habits, ensuring he felt comfortable and safe while I was away. Adriana kept me updated with messages and photos, which really eased my worries. It was clear that my dog was having a great time with her! She engaged him in playtime, took him on walks, and even made sure he was fed on his regular schedule. About: I have cared for pets since I was a a child. My first pet chose me when I was about 5 years old. When I stayed with my babysitter, I would play with their cat all day. The babysitter gave me Tiger because they saw how much I loved her. Ever since then I cared for dogs and cats. I walj my dogs every day weather permitting. I bathe and brush them when needed. My little guys love playdates and are sooo friendly. I am currently retired, so I can provide exceptional care. I spend lots of time in my big fenced in yard, and eager to play fetch. Lots of playtime. I have so many toys. Big fenced yard and lots of time for running around. I also have a doggy door so all the fur babies can go out and in as much as they like.

“Jennifer and Jon were fantastic!! Our 8 month old King Charles Spaniel was taken care of and treated like family. We were sent pictures and videos throughout the weekend and were kept updated about Maisy’s activities. It was wonderful to go away for the weekend and have no worries that our puppy was in great hands. We will definitely have our precious puppy stay with them again!! We give Jennifer and Jon our highest recommendation without reservation!!”

At first she was slow to respond to my messages before taking Charlie in but was great during his stay. I would be happy to recommend her to anyone.”

“Bryan is my favorite dog sitter for my dog, my dog usually gave me story (barking really loud) when I picked him up from kennel. I mean like solid 30 minutes ‘story’ to make me feel really bad leaving him in the kennel. But with Bryan, he bark a little then proceed to kiss me, then he sat quietly, never happen before lol. So you’re in a good hands with Bryan. Don’t worry leaving your pet with him. 5 stars all around. Thank you Bryan!”

About: I’ve had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up there’s always been at least 1 dog and cat in our home. My fiancé and I currently have two pups of our own, including one with epilepsy, so I’m comfortable with medications, special care, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. I’ve cared for animals of all ages, sizes, and personalities, and my goal is always to become your pet’s new best friend (with plenty of treats, walks, belly rubs, and a few silly conversations along the way). I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get all the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away! I work a hybrid schedule, so on the days my calendar shows I’m available, I’m working from home and have plenty of flexibility throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, meals, and lots of attention. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat them like they’re my own. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable, so I try to keep their normal routine as much as possible — same feeding schedule, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of love and attention. In my home, pets become part of the family! I have two pups of my own, so I understand the importance of making sure everyone feels comfortable, supervised, and included. I’m happy to provide a calm environment with lots of playtime, cuddles, and attention. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on keeping things familiar and stress-free. I follow your instructions closely, keep your pets on their usual schedule, send updates and pictures, and make sure you come home to happy, well-cared-for pets.

About: I don't have much experience with dog care. My family briefly had a dog or two when we lived in Trinidad and Tobago for about 2 years. And my oldest brother briefly lived with a Husky. I've been surrounded by cats most of my life since I was about 15 years old and now I'm 42 years old. I plan on being the sole pet caregiver in my household for your pet(s) and I will treat your pet or dog like an extended part of the family. Whatever rules you wish for me to follow with your pet or dog I will follow and respect them. I have a deep compassion for animals and will treat your pet or dog with love and care. I'm currently a part-time home health aide or caregiver for my Autistic 14 year old son which takes place at our home. I have a family of 5 including three kids and I'm looking for a way to make extra income. We live with 4 cats who spend most of their time outdoors. We have a fenced up yard with plenty of room for your pet(s) to roam around in and play.

About: Your pup will be treated like family! I’m a dependable dog owner with experience in walks, feeding, playtime, potty routines, and basic care. I’m patient, loving, and focused on keeping every dog happy, safe, and comfortable. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and can accommodate boarding, walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment for every pet in my care. I have a fenced yard for supervised play and a friendly dog for companionship. I follow each owner’s feeding, walking, medication, and crate instructions carefully

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Glen Lyon home-away-from-home, packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Glen Lyon.

<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Glen Lyon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
