“Courteney has dropped in multiple times and for multiple days to care for our elderly cat as we have traveled far and wide. We have never worried about our kitty while we were away and Courteney was on duty. She is extremely dependable, trustworthy, stays in contact regularly, and is sensitive to animals' temperament and moods. I highly recommend her without reservation!”

“Angie was great with our cat, Georgie! We received pictures that reassured us that he was doing well and that he was getting loved on while we were gone! We even booked a second set of drop ins with Angie for next time we are out of town.”

“Morgan was supportive and caring and loves animals. She collected information before hand . I trusted her with following directions . She did great and I would hire her again.”

“So grateful I found Beth! Even on short notice, she suggested a Meet & Greet to make sure she understood all instructions, where items were placed, etc. for my cats' drop-in visits. Sent Rover Cards with updates and pictures. Even my cat who is timid of new people came out from hiding during the visits. Will definitely book again!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Ann! My Scarlet girl doesn’t deal well with change or other dogs, so it was such a relief to find Ann so she didn’t have to go to a kennel. Ann loved Scarlet like she was her own and did a wonderful job communicating with me every day. I HIGHLY recommend her!”

“Kyra was amazing! My dog and cat really liked her. I was nervous to leave my dog with someone new, but she was great with him! We received regular updates and photos, and it was obvious they were getting lots of love and attention. I would highly recommend booking with Kyra!”

About: I have years of experience caring for my own dogs, as well as the pets of friends and family. I fostered for a local rescue group for 5 years and also worked for 2 years as a veterinary assistant, where I gained experience caring for dogs with all sorts of medical and behavioral needs. I have fostered many different types of dogs of different energy levels and sizes. My personal dog is a Jack Russell mix whom I adopted through Franklin County. I am also experienced in giving various types of medications and am willing to work with special needs dogs. I also have a bearded dragon, two rats, a tarantula and some other invertebrates, so if you have any unique pets you need help caring for, let me know! I have a fully remote job that has flexible hours. I work a typical Monday-Friday 8-4 schedule, however I am able to work from your home if needed as long as there is wifi and a place for me to set down my laptop. On weekends, I am happy to take your pets around to a local park, a pet store, or anything else that may help them feel pampered and happy. I have my own car so can arrive and leave at my leisure. I am happy to bring a book or a crochet project to your house and hang out with your pet if they would prefer just knowing someone is around, and I can also take them on walks and help wear them out so they are ready to relax with you after the work day is done.

I'm organized, reliable, and committed to ensuring pets receive the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. We live in a community with walking paths and a couple of ponds that we enjoy walking to with our pups. I will be happy to walk yours through the neighborhood as well. As a lifelong dog owner and current pug and cat parent, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every animal as a member of my own family.

We have a large, fenced in yard as well as 2,000 square feet of indoor space. Every dog and situation is unique so crating will be a case by case basis. About: I’m a dog (and cat!) mom looking for a fun way to keep myself accountable on my health journey! I’m a 41 year old mom to a teenage boy, a 9 year old yorkie mix (Severus), and 10 cats! I’ve been on a journey to better myself for the past year and one thing I make sure I do is get my steps in. I thought it would be a great idea to put myself out there to make some new dog friends and help keep me (and the doggos) getting our exercise in! I work full time from home Monday through Friday from 7am to 330pm. My walking availability is any time after my work day through the week, and open to anytime on the weekends. For sitting/drop ins, please inquire. For boarding, pets will be with me all day and night. I have 10+ years of experience caring for animals, my house is full of love, treats and toys! If you book me for services, you can be assured that same love will be given to your furry friend. Feeding schedules followed as provided by pet parent to ensure your pup is getting the required amount of food. My dog eats freely except when I’m boarding as to not disrupt any schedules. I currently have one dog (Severus), who is a yorkie mix and 10 total cats, some indoor/outdoor/mix. Our home gets hectic but we love our animals and can’t imagine life any differently.
“Ashley did a fantastic job! And even our shy kitty came out to see her on her drop ins. Thanks to her, we were able to travel without worry, because we knew our senior cat would get his medicine. Thank you so much!”

“Cameron is absolutely amazing. I have brand new puppies and she made me totally comfortable with taking care of them for me. She is super responsible and responsive! I’m definitely recommending her to my friends and family.”

About: I have been watching since I was 20 years old. I watched friends dogs, siblings dogs and I used to have a Jack Russell beagle mix. His name was Milo. I work Monday through Friday, but I drove a truck. I’m on the road all day so I have the ability to come home. Check on the animals play with them. Feed them walk them throughout the day. I usually get off at 4 PM. No matter if I’m in some ways home or the animals are at my house I love to go out for walks with dogs and play with pets in general pet them. Let them sit on my life and just spend time with them so they never feel lonely.
“Olivia went above and beyond. She made sure we had no worries during our trip. Would highly recommend and will be rebooking! Grateful to have found someone we can truly trust.”

“Rebecca is WONDERFUL! She took care of our two cats while we were traveling recently and she really put our minds at ease. She stopped by to meet the cats before our trip so I could go through all the things with her. I highly recommend her and will be using her again in the future. Thank you, Rebecca!”

About: I’ve dog-sat (and house-sat) for friends for a while, and nothing brings me more joy than seeing happy dogs! I love taking them for long walks or runs, spending the day playing with them, and of course giving them plenty of hugs and pets! ❤️🐶 I’m currently working full-time, so during the week I’m available to go on short walks during lunch and make sure your dog is fed and can use the bathroom. I can spend time with them in the evenings as well, and I’m also available for house sitting to keep them company while you’re away! I don’t have any pets of my own at home, but I’ve had plenty of experience caring for pets of friends and family members. I like taking them for walks through neighborhoods or parks where they can meet other dogs or people and see new places!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gillivan. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
