“We traveled from out of town and had trouble finding someone who would take an unnuetered pup. I am grateful for JP, we were able to enjoy our tour of the biltmore and was comfortable knowing Zoro was safe.”

About: I have had animals my whole life. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have had English Mastiff/Great Danes( not afraid of some drool) to Jack Russell’s. I currently do not have any employment. I’m extremely bored at home. I would like to get out of the house doing something I know I would love. My husband travels for work so we currently live in a large fifth wheel RV. We have one dog a 6yr old Great Dane. Also one calico cat about 8 months old .

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent walks, playtime, feeding, potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so making sure pets get the exercise and care they need is something I genuinely enjoy. About: I have always had dogs and cats and goats and occasionally I have owned cows so I’m a big animal lover who has plenty of land for them to run on and be free with it also being in a fence area. They will feel safe they will feel loved and you will get pictures of your little fur babies daily. I am a stay at home mom who has a two year-old little girl who does Therapy so I am always at home and I would love to be able to help someone when they are in need of having their fur babies at a safe house. Each pet that comes around has water, food and an air conditioner. The outside porch has air conditioner that they get underneath so they are in a safe environment. It’s fenced in and they have plenty of room to run.
“KaLynn was fabulous. If you are visiting Biltmore and need a place for your pooch during your visit, we highly recommend her. She was great at accommodating our senior dog for the day and was very communicative both before and during the day, plus she sent fun photos that were in an amazing quality.”

About: Hi! I've been taking care of dogs for my friends and family. In 2019, I adopted my rescued fur baby Bobby, and in 2020, I adopted my beautiful girl Bella. They have been the great addition to our family. I'm very reliable, responsible, loving and caring for your pet and love to give cuddles and kisses to your fur baby. I currently work from home different days where I can give care to your loved one and enjoy time together. I can have my little one play together with yours. Whatever makes you more comfortable, I respect that, and will always give my best care and love to your loved one. I have a small patio where your dog can take some sun and air, play with my Bobby and enjoy the beautiful view. I also have a doggy park nearby where we can go and play.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Gilkey commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
