“Lilly is such a wonderful caregiver for our dog Bailey and I’m so thankful for her! Bailey needs multiple oral medications to control seizures, and requires them to be given in a certain way at a specific time. Lilly has been great about giving Bailey these medications as directed. I feel completely confident in Lilly’s ability to care for Bailey’s special needs. Lilly is very patient and kind, and it’s clear that Bailey really enjoys it when Lilly takes care of her!! Thank you Lilly!!”

“Katie was a joy to work with. From the first time she met with Lucy for an introduction before taking on the job through the daily updates while we were away, she made every effort to make us feel comfortable leaving our little one in her trusted care. She is kind and generous and we would gladly use her services in the future. Lucy our pup clearly enjoyed her company. Thanks Katie!”

“Lisa is amazing! We found her on rover and she exceeded our expectations. She is the first pet sitter we’ve had outside of friends/family and we cant wait to book with her again. She is incredibly prompt at replying, takes plenty of photos to keep you connected to your pets and will love them like her own. We only scheduled her to stop in and do care but she took the time to also play with and snuggle our cats. It made our vacation stress free.”

“Kate is great!!!! She takes great care of our kitties while we are gone and is an excellent communicator. It is such a relief knowing that they are in great hands while we are away. Thanks Kate!”

About: I am a current student in Medical School who has been dog sitting since high school. I have provided care for dogs and cats for various families on overnight trips. Over the past two years I provided care on and off for a household with two dogs, chickens, pigs, and gardens. I have worked in medicine and volunteered with the elderly over the past two years. I am available weekends and love to get outside (ideally with a dog). On weekdays I am happy to work around my class schedule to make sure your dog has plenty of care and time outside! I live in an apartment but have grass area outside. I also love taking dogs for walks or hikes. I am happy to take care of clients households as well, keeping the area clean, animals fed and walked, and plants watered.
About: I have spent lots of time with a family dog and have been a sitter for several breeds over the years, often through friends and family. I am always over the moon to meet and spoil (to the owners comfort) a new furry freind! I am currently a graduate student which allows me the flexibility to schedule quality walks and play time with your pups! I typically work from home 50% of the work week, so getting out for a walk in between computational work is a win win! As a dog walker I will make sure your pup has a positive high quality walking experience. If I am sitting, I will ensure all fur babies get the level attention and care they need to feel safe and happy.
“Vienna watched our cat while we were gone over spring break. She did a great job! She showed up when she said she would, took care of the tasks needed, and our cat was happy. We'd hire Vienna again!”
About: I’ve had fur siblings all of my life and have never had any issues providing the best care, making sure they are well loved and fed and keeping them active. I’ll provide the best care and help out tidying up the home while you are away. Although I am new to pet sitting I will strive to make sure all of your animals are well cared for under my services. I look forward to hearing from you! I’m located in the Lakes region and I am willing to travel further on my days off. I do have a full time job but my days off rotate. If you are interested in using my services, reaching out about a week or 2 in advanced would be best so I can accommodate my schedule to yours! If you need a longer stay I can definitely make that happen with more of a heads up. I feed and water my cats before and after my shift. When I come home on my lunch I bring out some of their favorite toys and play until I have to head back to work. When I get home we have more playtime and I feed them dinner. Before bed I make sure all of their water bowls and food bowls are full, I clean their litter boxes 4-5 times a week (fill as needed) and do a deep clean once every 2 weeks to keep things fresh.

I treat every dog like my own and keep owners updated so they feel confident their dog is in good hands. I’m currently fully available with a flexible schedule. About: My experience of caring for pets has started since I was a child taking care of family pets and later getting my own animals. In a professional setting I have been a Vet Tech for 9 years and done house sitting and dog walking for 5 years. During this time I have worked with everything from puppies, to diabetic cats. I also have limited experience working with large animals and farm animals. Needless to say working with animals is a passion of mine. At the moment I work full time as a vet tech which can cause me some weird hours. Despite this I would love to spend my free time caring for your pet. Feel free to message me and see if we can work out a time! Caring for pets in your house is completely up to you. I will follow your instructions for how to properly care for your furry family member and do everything in my power to keep them safe. Even though I work full time I would love to take the time before and after work to drop in and check on your kitties. They tend to get my morning attention and evening attention with just work getting in the way during the day. I care for the clients home by making sure that all of your requirements are met. So whatever you need from me to make everything as comfortable as possible I will do my best to accommodate you.
“Alex did an amazing job with Roscoe! We are very happy with her services. She also filled in last minute and was super flexible and professional. We will definitely be contacting her again. Thanks, Alex!”

- 90% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
