About: I’ve been around dogs all my life and have always loved being around them. Whenever there’s a dog in the room they are the first I greet! 2022 was when I first started pet sitting for others and have since cared for multiple dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs. I currently care for five different dogs regularly, including two that I watch together. Whenever there’s pet sitting, I stay in the owners home to keep their pets comfortable and maintain their normal routine. I make sure each dog gets plenty of love, attention, and playtime while their family is away. I also believe communication is extremely important, so I provide regular updates with photos and videos to help the owners feel connected and reassured while they’re away from their pets. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and happy until their owners return. I am currently a part-time college student, so I have a lot of time to be able to check on owners pets when needed. My schedule is pretty open besides Wednesdays, but depending on the situation I can sometimes check in on them on Wednesdays. When caring for pets in a clients home, I make it a priority to keep them on their normal routine so they feel comfort and secure while their owners are away. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding time, walks, medications, playtime, and any other special needs. Safety is a top priority of mine. I make sure doors, gates, and even leashes are secure, and I pay very close attention to every animals behavior and comfort level. I provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship while respecting the pet’s individual personality and needs. I also respect the owners privacy by keeping household information private and also respecting their homes. I also try to update the owners as much as possible by providing videos, photos, and messages so they can have a peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and comfortable. My goal is to create an stress-free environment for both the owners and the pets. I want the owners to be able to enjoy their trip and not be stressed, while their pets feel safe and comfortable with me.
“Our second time having Olivia do drop in visits with our pups! She is so flexible and accommodating. The pups love her. Thanks again for taking great care of our little fur babies.”

“Breanna is in a word, great. Gave me detailed updates each day taking care of my cat. Pictures showing me how much food he was eating. I felt so comfortable knowing he was getting such good attention. I would absolutely book Breanna again”

“Izzy watched our cats for 2 weeks while we were away. She took excellent care of them and always sent pictures and updates about how they were doing. Izzy is an outstanding pet sitter and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone and will be using her again next time we are away.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats my whole life. I had my own dog sitting and walking business from ages 14-19 and then stopped dog walking when I adopted my first dog. Now, we have 3 dogs, and I would love to help other families with their fur babies! My husband and I work full time but will be available on weekends. We also can provide services in the late afternoon/evening. My husband and I will both be assisting, and will make time for you and your babies! I work remotely 2-3 times a week. We’re best able to assist with boarding, on Fridays and the weekends. We can dog walk on the weekends and evenings. During the weekday, our availability is more limited given our full time jobs. We can care for a few dogs at a time, if you are comfortable with it! If not, let us know and we can limit our care to just your pet! We have a large, fenced yard! We also have 3 friendly dogs of our own! They are our family! We are respectful of other people’s homes and their family members.
“Amanda was an awesome drop in for our our cat! She was punctual, kind and gave Kitty her medication like a pro. We will absolutely be using for drop ins again soon!”
“Britney checked in on our dog, who gets a little too excited when people visit, and she did great! She let her outside and then did whatever our dog wanted to do (even if it was to just get pets and plug tug of war). She updated us about the visit promptly. Will ask Britney to help us again in the future!”

About: Hi, I'm Bethany! I have been caring for pets for many of years and believe every animal deserves love and attentive care. I specialize in Labrador Retrievers, German Shorthair Pointers, and Goldendoodles. I am comfortable with administering medication such as insulin shots as well as given oral medication. I treat all pets like my own offering overnights in your home, drop-in visits, and walks. My goal is to ensure your pet stays happy and comfortable while you're away! I am very flexible and usually have tons of open availability as I do not have many customers at the moment so I would be available at most times! I have a large yard (no fence) for your animal to explore in. Plenty of dog toys for your pet to play with from my previous dog. Plenty of leashes to take your pet for a walk. I live on a quiet road with a quiet development behind me that’s great for walking.

“Ashley was wonderful. I am very happy we hired Ashely to look after our cat while we were away; she is reliable, provides photo updates, and she appeared to express real affection for our cat, which enabled us to relax knowing that Finn was cared for in our absence.”

About: I've taken care of many different types of pets for a large portion of my life. As friends and family have brought to my attention, I tend to attract animals big and small in a genuinely positive way. I'm currently in between jobs. I have a large amount of time in my week to spend with your fur baby. I'll be available to care for your little one for most of my day. I have 2 friendly cats in my home alongside an African Grey Parrot. My home is welcoming to all furry friends. I have a large unfenced yard with plenty of room to play and run.
“This was my first time leaving my dog with someone unknown. I was totally against putting her in a kennel as she has never been in that type of environment ….(she’s 11 years old). I couldn’t have picked a better person to watch my baby. Deanna is absolutely fantastic! Not only is she reliable and trustworthy, but she always made herself available in case my scheduled changed. Rylee became quick friends with Deanna and adores her! Deanna consistently sent pictures and updates of their walks and Rylees general well being. This provided such comfort and peace of mind. Deanna went above and beyond. She watered my plants and swept up after coming in and out from walks. She even stayed later than she was supposed to in order to make Rylee feel comfortable. I HIGHLY recommend Deanna. I WILL DEFINITELY hire Deanna again. Jeanne, Mark, and Rylee 🩷”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
