About: I have a long history of living with and caring for a variety of pets including: dogs, cats, parakeets, turtles, and fish. And while I haven't owned horses, I have spent a good amount of time with them and their owners, and feel capable of looking after them for a while. I work from home on my own schedule, so I have a flexible schedule and am available to spend plenty of time with fur friends. My focus is on providing as much continuity for pets as possible while their owners are away. I aim to keep them in their routine and provide all the loving care they deserve!

About: Hi, My name is Christie. I have been an avid animal lover ever since I was a toddler. My family had our share of pets from dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, doves, and even a snake (although I will admit I that he was my brother's and I respectfully chose not to interact with him like I did all the others). On top of that, my grandparents were farmers with chickens, pigs, cats and dogs and I loved being with them all. Animals bring so much joy into our lives and I honestly think they have much to teach us. As an adult, I have loved my own and she was the love of my life. I have been pet/house sitting for 25+ years. I first started caring for friends pets, but at a certain point, the word got out and I was being referred to other pet sitting gigs. Many of those lead to new friendships of which I’m very grateful. I have loved each and every experience. My love of animals is one that dogs can usually sense right away and I'm proud to be an auntie of many wonderful pets. I enjoy taking dogs for walks in the woods or to the park to play fetch (or even soccer… That was my girl's favorite!) While staying at your home, I make sure they are fed and well cared for, with plenty of belly rubs and snuggles on the couch (if they are allowed). I have pet sit for cats, fish, and dogs of all sizes and breeds. I've stayed at peoples homes for as little as 2 nights and up to 6 weeks. And, at times, I've welcomed some into my home. I’ve watched up to 4 dogs at a time (ranging from puppy to senior) and two cats. Those circumstances usually call for specific needs of which was different for each, but no matter the different food and meds and potty break reqs, being in there own home was no different than normal and all worked out smoothly. I have walked siblings separately and together, some on lead and some not... whatever the pup is used to and the owner specifies has always worked! ;) All of our outings are fun whether we go out to play catch, splash in the rivers, hike on the trails or simply take in all the smells and sights throughout the neighborhood and local parks. I'm currently taking time off of work to work on some personal projects so my availability is somewhat flexible. I will traveling throughout the NW, SE while also spending time here in Boise. Im open to sits locally, as well as around the nation. As an avid animal lover, it is a complete joy to love on your “love bugs" and simply BE with them in the comfort of their own home. I also welcome certain size/breeds into my own home for shorter stays. When I pet sit, I send photos of your pet’s smile and or activities that we share. And, I'm happy to look after and water any plants or garden areas. Otherwise, I am a responsible 56 year old woman who appreciates clean spaces. sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
