“We had a great experience! They took excellent care of our dogs and kept us updated throughout their stay. We really appreciated the regular messages and the pictures they sent, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs came home happy and well cared for. We would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care, and we will gladly use their services again in the future!”

“We love Steve! He is flexible, communicative, friendly, and professional! (Not to mention, one of Roxie's best friends!) He is highly, highly recommended, just don't keep him busy when I need him!”

“Ashley exceeded my expectations! She was so great with my Golden Retriever. She took care of my dog for 10 days. Ashley was communicating with me constantly, she sent me videos, pictures and messages daily letting me know how my dog was doing. I felt very safe leaving my 3 month old dog with her. When I picked my dog up, she did not want to leave??”

“Taylor took great care of our 7 year old Aussie. He got comfort and exercise. Taylor is a true dog lover. Unfortunately she is an hour away from us BUT worth it and close to the Indiana lake that we visit.”

“Repeat clients, here. Kylie, her husband, and their adorable ambassador, Mooshy the Corgi, and the kitties are all awesome people and furkids! As I mentioned before, I used to always be worried about leaving my service dog and my senior pup with anyone until I found Kylie! This family is rock solid, in my opinion.”

“Monica was such a pleasure to meet. Bentley loved her! She provided updates and sent pictures. Her home was welcoming and her personality a match. I will definitely book her again when I go back to Kokomo. Thank you Monica!”

About: I’m obsessed with fur babies! Let me watch yours so I can be happy 24/7. Former puppy owner do I know how crazy that it. Very experienced as I’ve always loved with animals. Very open availability because my day job allows me to choose my own schedule. And I’m very flexible and willing to accommodate to your needs. Right now I can only do house/pet sitting at your place because I do have roommates. I’m not entirely confident he have someone else’s pets around them for reliability issues.
“Katia was so awesome and took care of my husky Ethel for 5 days while I was out of town. She came home so happy and exhausted. 10/10 She accommodate us last minute which was super sweet of her.”

About: I have had dogs and cats all my life. I am willing to keep special needs pets and am able to give medication. I am open to discussing any special requirements your pet might have. I live at home with my mom and this is my only job. I am free to give your pet all the love and attention they need. I have a lead in our yard for potty time and live near a dog park for fun and exercise. We will take walks, having brushing time to bond, and have lots of play time. I do have a dog kennel available inside and will have food and water bowls for your pup. We do have cats, so please make sure your dog is cat friendly.

“Wish I could give these ladies 100 stars! In a nut shell, Megan and Lois are a blessing! It s so nice to get away and know your baby is happy too! Thank you both so much ! So much better than a noisy kennel.”

“Karen was absolutely amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! From the moment we left, she kept us completely at ease with frequent updates, thoughtful messages, and the sweetest photos of our fur baby. You can tell she genuinely cares—she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and our pet was happy, comfortable, and so well loved the entire time. Coming home to a relaxed, well-cared-for pet says everything. Karen is reliable, kind, and incredibly attentive. We’re so grateful to have found her and will 100% be booking with her again. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾💛”

About: I’ve always been around animals! Having cared from a wide variety of animals from a young age I’ve picked up on tons of tips and tricks for training and enrichment! I’m confident in my training abilities, and especially care with disabled/ elderly dogs. Puppies are no challenge either! Any animals are welcome big or small! 🐾 I’m currently working full time, however I get off pretty early in the day and have a ton of wiggle room in my schedule! Weekends are fair game completely! I am incredibly accommodating, so when it comes to pet care in other homes, I 100% prioritize maintaining the current schedules/ routine the animal is used to. I’ll follow specific instructions for playtime, feeding, administering medications, and additional needs. I ensure a clean and happy environment, so cleaning up messes is nothing I’m not used to! On walks I prioritize safety, so the dog will never be off leash and I remain very spatially aware of potential hazards. Walks are where I like to do the most training, so I will also provide a ton of positive reinforcement and patience!
“Douglas and Katherine were absolutely amazing! This was the first time I’ve been away from my little guy and they treated him like one of their babies! They sent pictures everyday and my little guy was so happy and comfortable! It made going on our trip so much easier! Thank you!!”

“Alexis was great! From picking him up to dropping him off, and everything in between, our dog was happy and we had great peace of mind. She sent us pictures throughout our vacation with updates on our sweet guy.”

“Aurora was very sweet and caring for my Luna, she took Luna in at a very short notice, and was even able to drop her off early ahead of her drop off time which helped me tremendously since I was in the process of moving. Luna was groomed and I received updated pictures of Luna. I would definitely book again in the future!”

“Finley had a great time with Gerard -a big fenced in back yard to play, a couple new friends to play with and some time inside to relax and watch golf and the Pacers. It doesn’t get any better! Finley was very happy when I picked him up and was excited to see me! He had a great time. We will definitely use Gerard again !”

About: I’ve taken care of animals my entire life! Born and raised on a farm. I’ve always had dogs and cats to love and many other small animals! I plan to own my own kennel in the future. We have 4 animal loving kids as well! I work part time at a salon so my schedule is pretty flexible as long as there is advanced planning and I’ll do my best to keep your pets current schedule. I have a huge fenced in yard where our dogs can play during the day. We have a mudroom attached to the house where crates are kept. And well-behaved dogs are welcome to come inside!
“Julie R. Is a kind-hearted, capable, compassionate pet lover who was amazing with my dog. She took him for long daily walks and gave him fun exercise time, kept him clean, fed, safe and happy. She paid attention to his little habits, and accommodated him in the most caring, ingenious ways. My dog was in good hands and came home in good shape and tired— just what a dog-owner would want!”

“This was our first time boarding our dogs and we were super nervous. Max is a German Rott and not the friendliest at first sight. It takes him a moment to get comfortable with new faces. However, he is truly a loving, loyal and protective doggie. Marley, an English Cocker Spaniel is easy to adore and just wants hugs and rubs all day. Desirae was nothing but hospitable, patient, accommodating, and professional. She continued to provide photos and updates while we were away and made sure we were comfortable. She was very aware of what they needed and following our instructions to ensure they maintained their routine. This was such a wonderful first experience and I would definitely recommend Desirea. Look no further - she is absolutely amazing!”

As of July 2026, there are 86 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Gas City. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Gas City home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Gas City.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Gas City sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
