About: I have taken care of a bearded dragon, as well as cats and dogs of all ages. I give medications as needed, care for special diets, and am comfortable with all dog breeds. I currently spend about 50 hours per month in volunteer work, and am available for drop-ins, play dates, and walks multiple days per week. Times can be discussed. I'm flexible. I drop by to feed, play with, medicate, change litter, clean out cage, etc. in your home. Happy to walk well-behaved dogs who are leash trained.

“Jennifer was fantastic with our cats. We had peace of mind they were taken care because she communicated with us on every visit. We will definitely use her again. Thank you again!”

About: I owned dogs for 40 years so I know how our pets are family. I said goodbye to my little furbaby 4 years ago and while I’m not ready to have my own again, I’m happy to love on yours. I’m single, no kids, so if you have a puppy that requires extra attention, a senior dog who prefers a low key environment, or just a dog that appreciates being spoiled, I’m your gal. I love the energy a dog brings to a home. I live in a quiet low traffic neighborhood so we’ll start and end the day with a walk to get us both some exercise. I live next to the state park and across from the loop, if you prefer your pup to have more exercise. I’ve had three puppies of my own, watched my mother’s brand new puppy during COVID, so I’m comfortable with adhering to your potty training schedule so your training doesn’t miss a beat. If there’s other training you want me to keep up with, I’m happy to do that too! I also have had two senior dogs that passed from cancer so I’m comfortable with providing a relaxing environment for them, as well as medication administration. I work from home and will be taking time off for the holidays so your pet will have my full attention. I’m accustomed to taking care of my family and friends pets, so know how important it is to stick to the dog’s routine. I will take them on AM/PM walks with potty breaks in between but happy to do more extensive exercising on the loop or hiking trails at my house. You know what your dog needs, so I’ll gladly accommodate. I have a fenced in back yard but your dog will only be outside supervised. I live in a quiet neighborhood perfect for morning and evening walks. I also live across from the loop trail and next to the state park in case you’d like your dog to get more exercise in. I’m happy to crate your dog too if that’s your preference. I’m also a snuggler so happy to have your dog join me on the couch or sleep in the bed. It’s just me, so your dog doesn’t have to contend with other pets or kids. They can get 1:1 attention. I only take one family at a time.

“This is the second time I’ve used Dena to care for my cats when I was going to be gone. The first time was 2 yrs ago and I felt safe and confident enough with her to request her again this year. Both times she’s had a key to my place and often came while I was out. But after I had surgery and was sleeping when she came, she made every effort to be very quiet and not wake me up. My cats were fed and litter was changed, garbage was taken out also. Thank you Dena! Maybe I’ll see you next winter when I’m back for the season!”

“Great communication! Kept me up to date and my dogs loved her!”

Alyssa H.
“Alyssa is absolutely wonderful with animals, but especially with dogs. Alyssa has such a good energy with all kinds of dogs. She watched my golden retriever Molly for a weekend, and Molly didn't want her to leave. She was brushed, happily cared for, and was well exercised. Alyssa has such compassion for animals, and a heart of gold when it comes to dogs. I don't trust many people with my animals, but Alyssa is absolutely one of the best. I would 100% allow her to watch Molly again. She is trustworthy, attentive, and wonderful.”

Madalyn G.
“Madalyn is the best dog mom I know. She cares for her own pets like they are her children and that love and protection extends to whatever animal she is responsible for. My dog has high separation anxiety, needs a bit of exercise and adores attention and he feels 100% comfortable with her. When I get him back he is always content and I can trust he was well taken care of. Her passion for animals is unmatched by anyone I know. I don't trust many people to take care of my dog but I would recommend Madalyn any day!”

Ashley P.
“Ashley did a terrific job watching my babies. She was reliable and very careful to make certain she understood all the ways to properly care for them while I was out of town. I loved that she sent me pics everyday and sometimes a video. I will 100% use Ashley every time a sitter is needed and I highly recommend her. Being an animal lover herself it truly shows in the care she provides.”
