“Nick is a very professional, knowledgeable and skilled dog walker. He is building a solid positive relationship with our dog Nanuk (a 1 year old Labrador) who is excited to go with Nick on his walks and happy and calm when he gets home. I know Nanuk is in great hands with Nick and would absolutely recommend!”

“This was our first Rover experience and we couldn’t be happier. Kelly was outstanding to work with: communicative, flexible, cheerful, and dog competent. We will use her again, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. Thank you Kelly!!!”

About: Hi, I’m Ireland! I’ve always been around dogs and cats and I enjoy learning their personalities. I understand that you want the best sitter for your pet and I’ll make sure your pet is provided with an endless amount of affection while you’re not around. I’ll treat them like my own! I have a dog with diabetes so I’m used to giving dogs shots, if need be. I’m a non-smoker. I have open availability at this time. Just moved to Orcas Island and I’m needing some side gigs in order to make this adjustment a little bit easier. :) As of right now, I will not be boarding any pets. But, I am able to house sit, drop in and take dogs on walks.
About: I’ve had experience with animals my entire life with my own pets, as well as fostering and caring for other peoples pets! I have professional dog and cat sitting experience, as well as experience caring for friends and families ferrets, bunnies, and snakes. I’m very well rounded in the pet world, and would love to meet your furry companion! I am currently work remote and create my own schedule, so I am super flexible and can work with any dates and/or times! Holidays included! (If boarding) I have a cozy open space home that is setup perfect for any dog or cat. I have a large pet door with a ramp and fenced in backyard, and a safe neighborhood for long walk and sniffs. (If sitting) I am super flexible and comfortable in any environment and work well with any needs or layout of a home. Also am a plant person and will take care of/water any plants you might have!
About: I have had pets of all kinds (dogs, cats, gerbils, goats, chickens, peacocks, lizards, a rat, and a pot-bellied pig) since I was a child. I love animals of every type and age. My schedule is very flexible right now, so I have plenty of time to love, care for, and play with your pets! I cannot wait to meet them! I will treat your pet(s) and your home with the utmost care. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
