“Heather and her family greeted our dogs with loving, open arms. They have a lovely home with a farm which allowed the dogs to be entertained from their playpen with chickens and ducks. Our dogs are completely happy with no problems while they were visiting Heather and Family. Heather is great at communication and gets back to you right away. We asked for pictures and Heather sent lots of pictures to comfort us knowing our girls were safe and well loved.”
“Goose was so happy after his overnight stay with Oleg! He was able to play and get lots of love at his house. Oleg was responsive and flexible with us to make it a pleasant experience for us just as much as it was for Goose!”
“Josie the best of the best, she has already taken care of my Shadow 3 times and every time he returns home he becomes happier every day. You can see the good treatment and attention he receives in Josie's home, I recommend her 100% thank you Josie”
“De'Andra and Robert were, loving, attentive and nurturing caregivers that took the time to care for our Cockapoo and her special needs. It was a relief and comfort to receive many pictures and updates over the course of the week. Our pup seemed relaxed and happy in their home, making our time away worry free.”
“If you came to the reviews to see if Vasumathy is the right pet sitter for you. The answer is YES!! BOOK HER NOW!! She recommended a meet and greet before booking. Which is a great idea for you to know who will be taken care of your pet and where they will be. Vasumathy took care of my 3 month old puppy Dunkin, with short notice, for a few days while my family and I were out for some hours. She is very knowledgeable and gave us some advice on how to train our puppy as well. She updated us on how our puppy was doing through out the day. Asked questions on how to care for our little Dunkin. She is very personable and you can tell she loves animals in general. You won't go wrong with booking her. I found our future dog sitter and I couldn't be more happy. Thank you Vasumathy!!”
“I had such a positive experience with Patricia. She was very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, she sent multiple updates and photos each day we were gone. Lambeau loved his stay!”
“My pup had a very pleasant stay. Anton communicates promptly and seemed very knowledgible about petcare. My pup came home calm and content. Will surely use him again.”
“Dana and Jonathan were amazing with our dog Bear. They arranged a meet and greet before booking the boarding, and were kind and welcoming. They took care of our Bear and sent us pictures and videos while we were away. I can’t speak highly enough of their service and care for our dog!”
“Bristoe had a ball! Thank you for having him! I loved the texts throughout my stay away from my boy. Theresa was very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks again!! We look forward to future stays.”
“I am a repeat customer with bookings already planned with Holly. She is excellent and I would not trust Barkley with anyone else. You can't go wrong booking with her. Thank you again!”
“I felt very good about the care I was receiving from videos and pictures. I felt max was in good hands and it showed a very well organised house with a fenced in yard in the back. I will definitely use him again. Thanks again”
“Lisa did a super job keeping James, my Poochon. She was kind and sent me many pictures of him during his stay. I am very satisfied with her service and will using her again in the future as the need arises.”
“This was our first time booking with Amy. I’m always nervous to leave my dog with new people, but Amy and her husband were very nice and reassuring. Made me feel at ease leaving him with them. She sent me pictures thru out the stay which I loved. He seemed to be pretty happy there and had a good time. He loved the fenced in yard. We would def take our Charlie back there again.”
“We recently had to board our dog, Coco, with Joyce on very short notice due to a family emergency. We can’t thank her enough for her incredible care and support during this difficult time. From the moment we dropped Coco off, it was clear she was in good hands. Joyce was attentive, kind, and made sure Coco felt comfortable and loved. We truly appreciate the extra effort Joyce put into making our pup feel at home. We’ll definitely be returning for future boarding needs. Thank you, Joyce, for being such a wonderful host!”

“Katlyn was great! Kept us updated on our dog, sent pictures, and gifted him the only toy he couldn’t stop playing with! Katlyn was able to take him last minute and a day earlier to make our trip easier! Very professional and personable as well! Looking forward to booking with her in the future as well!”
“Alaina and Ethan are the cream of the crop. They are the second Careproviders I have used on Rover and as long as they are available I wont look any further. They are so loving, attentive invested and actively look for ways they can be helpful in the care of your dog. I interviewed over 12 people listed and no one came close to being the perfect match they were. I promise you you wont regret choosing them.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Franklintown home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Franklintown.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Franklintown sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
