About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors since I was a kid! I’m comfortable following specific routines and requirements, including scheduled medications and individualized care. I’ve cared for senior cats who need diapers, puppies learning to use puppy pads, and bottle-fed babies. I’m patient, attentive, and always make sure each pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. This is currently my only job while I save for college! I’ve always lived and breathed animals and have dreamed of working with them. Pet sitting is one of the many ways I’m gaining experience and getting to do what I love. Caring for animals and helping them feel safe, happy, and loved! Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first! I’m happy to follow specific routines, feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any other requirements your pet may have. During drop-ins, walks, and house sitting, I’ll make sure your pets get plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and love while keeping them as comfortable and happy as possible in their normal routine.

If I could give Diana 10 stars I would. We are so lucky to have found her to care for our 9 month old energetic golden retriever. Diana is wonderful with our pup and we have the peace of mind knowing that she is in very good hands. Diana is great with her communications and somehow manages to get beautiful photos as well. I HIGHLY recommend Diana!

About: I have ran a small business pet sitting since I was 14 and have watched all types of dogs and cats, as well as reptiles, rabbits, chickens, and a chinchilla. I have also cared for my family’s dogs since I was old enough to be left home alone. I have a fat beagle who is my soul dog and seeing other pet sitters come into my house and the way they treat my dogs has shown me that you cannot trust everyone. I have become very picky about who I leave responsible for my dogs, and can only hope that you can trust me to treat your dog like my own. I am currently a full-time college student and working part-time a few evenings a week. My dad can watch my dog on a moments notice so I have very open availability. I prefer to spend the night in the clients house with their permission, as I feel it gives much more time to bond and give attention to the pet. I usually wake up between 6-7 and would love to take your fur baby for a walk if possible. I have a couple in person classes, but commute to clarion so I am never gone more than a couple hours for classes. Work shifts are never longer than 6hrs and I would be able to spend all my down time at the house. I am very active and love puppies!! But can TOTALLY chill with a senior on the couch watching a movie.

Melli was great with our pups and cat, she sends frequent updates so you know your pets are being taken care of. We have some rambunctious dogs, so I felt good leaving them with someone who cares! She left the house clean and our dogs seemed to have had a great time! Hoping to be able to use her services in the future!!

Kayla was awesome! She stayed 10 nights with our dogs and it was a relief they were able to stay in their home and have company! We came home to very happy dogs and the house as nice as we left it! She also cared for our poultry and did an excellent job! We loved the photo updates of all the animals. We will definitely use her again in the future!

About: Pets are family, and they deserve to be treated like family. I have doggy sat for a family friend for 3yrs, Zoe, and Zarley. They go out 4 to 5 times a day, they get treats for going boo boo outside. We run around the apartment and play as much as my bones will let me. I am able to brush the furbabies every day, and multiple times a day if needed. I do talk to them like they can answer me…..😂😂. Animals understand more than we think they do. I love animals so much. I wish I could get one for me. But at this time, I am unable to afford one. I will not get any animal that I know I can’t pay for what they need. I was working up until 09/2025. I got hurt at work, and I’m unable to return. I am available 24/7 now. I have plenty of time to give ALL of my time to furbabies now. I have a full time job working midnights. I get off at 7am, but don’t usually go to sleep till around 10am. I do not work Friday nights. My part time job is just Mon., we’d., and Fri, from 9am to 1pm. I have every other weekend off. I always put fur babies first in my home. I play with them as often as I can. They are allowed on the furniture and bed. No matter what I am doing, I will stop to take them out, or play with them. I DO NOT give for babies ppl food, their little digestive system mite not be able to handle it. If there is something extra that you say they need, and you don’t have, I will buy it for them. I remove any and everything off the floors, so they cannot get in it. If there is a special diet that they have, I will just need written instructions on how to prepare it.

About: I have a deep love for animals and truly enjoy the process of connecting with them. For me, it’s more than just "watching" a pet; I love learning about their unique personalities, specific traits, and individual needs to ensure they feel safe and happy while their owners are away. PS - If you are wanting a house sit it is just me and not Thomas since we live in different areas now. Unfortunately we got an update from our housing authority (in Minneapolis) that we aren't supposed to have dogs 50 lb or more in the condo, so we can not accept bigger dogs unless its for a short duration. Thomas is a homebody and just goes into his art studio for a couple of hours in St Paul Mon-Fri. His hours are very flexible usually from 11:30am-3pm and can be less if needed to be home with a pet. My schedule is also flexible as i'm an independent canvasser for PBS and pick up para substitutiting at public and private schools. Well I put my clients needs first. Just like when I nanny or do childcare work or teaching I really try to listen to the "parents" aka pet owners in this scenario and listen to what their desires are. Ultimately I'm working for you so I want your cares and concerns to come first! I am very happy to provide or use your toys and play with your pet and pamper them. Give them just enough food and space to warm up to me. Let me know if your pets have any dietary needs. I have experience taking care of pets with seizures as well and giving their medicine in with their daily meals.

As of September 2026, there are 56 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Franklin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Franklin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Franklin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Franklin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
