“Lauren is simply the best! This was my second time booking with her, and I am so glad and grateful that I did. She did such a wonderful job taking care of my cat over the holidays (and sent a wealth of photos and updates, which helped us cope with being away for so long). My cat was so calm and well-adjusted when we returned home — she clearly loves Lauren! She’s our favorite cat-sitter, hands down. Thank you, Lauren!”

“Cynthia took care of my elderly cat who has medical needs while I was away on vacation. She was professional, caring, and dependable. She was excellent at keeping in communication and providing me with updates so that I could relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that my cat was in capable hands. I highly recommend her and would hire her in the future!”

“Shelby is awesome. I’ve been using her services for almost 3 years now. My dogs know her and looks forward to drop in visits when I work long hours. She paid special attention to my little guy who seemed to hurt his leg recently. She’s like part of our pack now.”
“Olivia did a TERRIFIC job caring for my shy cat. From the very first day she was able to get him to come out from his hiding places and spend time with her. WOW!!!!! Anduin is finicky when it comes to socialization but not with Olivia! She is his new best friend and I will not hesitate to have Olivia return in the future when I must be away from home. Thank you!!!”

“Andrea was incredible. Good communication, consistent and reliable. I almost got the feeling my cats were disappointed to have us home because they liked Andrea so much! Really though, I couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. Thank you, Andrea!! Jeff and Ernie and I all appreciate you so!”

“Kate was GREAT!!! She took such great care of our cats while we were gone- lots of attention and snuggles. We really appreciated the pictures and updates she provided. We highly highly recommend her. Thank you!!!!”

“Shaunna was great! We were away for 2 weeks and we have 2 cats, one of which needs medication at 8am and 8pm. Shaunna was there every day and at every time and we got a full report and pictures! It was a great piece of mind to know our kitties were in very capable hands.”

About: Hello! My name is Darrion. I work at a veterinary hospital full time as a vet tech. My boyfriend Jake works from home full time so someone is always home. My passion is taking care of animals and working with them. I live in a home that has a fenced yard. We will offer lots of play time. We have lots of dog toys lying around. I have experience giving medications/vaccinations, working with special needs dogs, and working with senior dogs. I have a lot of experience with pets that have health issues as well. I will do whatever it takes for your baby to be happy and have a great time. Any special requests? I will try to fulfill them! I want your pet to feel like they're at home and I'll do whatever I can to make them feel that way! I work full time Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Off Thursdays. Work one Saturday a month. When I'm off work, I'm available to be with your pet the entire day. When I'm at work, I'm unfortunately not available to be with your pet until I'm off work. BUT my boyfriend Jake works from home so he will be with your pet all day. My pets have free roam of my house at all times, even when I'm not home. If your pet is good free roaming at all times, even when someone isn't home, I'll definitely let them do that. If you prefer them to be in a crate when no one is home, I can do that. All pets are allowed on the furniture. I treat your pets as if they're my own.
“This was my first time using Rover and I was really nervous to try it. We have a senior dog that doesn’t travel well and we usually have people come stay or check in on him, but none of them could do it. I searched Rover for people who had good reviews and repeat customers. Leilani agreed to help last minute and it was much appreciated. She checked on our senior guy twice while we were gone overnight, took care of his diaper, and cleaned up any messes he had. She also fed him. She sent pictures and communicated any problems. It looks like he didn’t want to get out of bed so she brought his food to him for one of the feedings, which was a super sweet way to make sure he got food. We would hire her again.”

About: We always had family pets growing up. At a young age I became the neighborhood "go to" for all pet care. "Drop in" services include: I'll walk and feed your dog including measuring and mixing for specific dietary, or nutrition needs. I'm also comfortable brushing, bathing, and clipping nails. I can offer basic obedience training (sit, stay, lie down, come, no jumping, basic leash obedience). I train using praise as a reward. My hours are flexible. Please reach out to me to ask about my immediate availability. I look forward to speaking with you and spending time with your pet. I will only be accepting pet sitting at the pets house. Up to two visits a day. I'm experienced in drop in pet care, following instructions for food, vitamins, and medicine. Will make sure water is full, and that your dog is tired and happy by the time i leave
“Elizabeth was fantastic. She notified me every time she arrived and left, including photos of our dogs. I was completely comfortable and had no worries that our dogs were her priority. We already booked her for another time and will continue to.”

About: I have a beautiful Siberian Husky who loves her walks. All pets deserve their time outside to sniff and stretch their paws. I will give your pet the fresh air and exercise they need (and maybe a treat or two) I work in education so I have the summers off. I enjoy nothing more than spending time in the fresh air with furry, four legged friends. I have experience working with the plethora of animals. I understand the importance of keeping your pets safe. Prior to my first walk/house visit, I ask the client to give me a summary of command words, routines, and your own expectations of your pet and myself for an easy transition and happy experience for your pet.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Franklin. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
