From the very first complimentary meet and greet, I could tell she was professional and genuinely invested. She came prepared, took detailed notes, asked for emergency contacts, confirmed which vet to use in case of emergency, and made sure she had exact medication dosages. She even asked about each dog’s specific quirks so she could support them in the way they’re used to. That level of thoroughness meant everything to me. Communication during the stay was wonderful. She sent regular photo updates and kept me posted on how they were doing, which gave me total peace of mind. She treated my home with so much care, and I came back to a house that was cleaner than when I left it. She even left the sweetest little coaster as a gift that I found after she left. It said “Sweet Kitten,” and it was such a thoughtful, personal touch. For context, I am a very cautious pet parent, and Gypsy is extremely anxious when separated from me. This was the first time I have ever left them with anyone outside of family, so I was understandably nervous. Haley handled it beautifully. Gypsy was calm, comfortable, and clearly felt safe. I did not worry once all weekend. I truly knew they were in loving, capable hands. Haley is sweet, responsible, attentive, and a joy to work with. And, for those that perhaps run a little late, Haley was able to be flexible with my arrival back home as well. About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (and other animals) since I was a kid. A proud godmother of a Yorkshire Terrier, a sweet gentleman. Got on Rover during college, and I absolutely loved it. My situation makes it hard to raise my own pets, so I take the chance to be around them whenever I could. I work remotely, which gives me the flexibility and time to provide attentive care for animals, including long walks and companionship. This allows me to be consistently present and available while pet sitting. I’m not currently able to host pets in my own space, but I take the time to get familiar with each new environment so I can provide the best possible care. About: I have had two dogs in my life but have been the “best aunt ever” for many of my brothers and friends dogs. I understand that not all dogs are the same, they have their preferences, their likes/dislikes, and their levels of activity and stimulus. As a sitter I believe it’s important to keep up with the pets regular routine as much as possible by following the rules established by their owners. I love to spoil a dog and take them on more walks and more cuddles than normal because when owners/parents are on vacation i want the pet to have a fun vacation as well. I currently don’t have any pets so am able to care for the animal that needs to be an “only pet”. But I have friends and neighbors with dogs so I also have a way to help they socialize. I work a full time job but can do it from anywhere with internet. My job is pretty flexible so if I need to walk a dog at a certain time or have a cat sit on my lap all day I can usually make that work. I have a fully fenced in yard with lots of fun smells. Most of the yard is five+ feet fence but some is a traditional chainlink fence. We have a magnetic screen on the back door so when the weather is nice we have the option of opening the door so the dog and go in and out as much as they want. We also have a full door that can be closed if the pet needs someone with them when in the yard.
