About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and have been a dog owner for the past three years. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and sticking to routines. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like they’re my own. I understand how important trust and consistency are, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m currently a nursing student in a hybrid program, so I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate different needs. I’m reliable, organized, and happy to work around pet routines. I have one very friendly, medium sized playful dog, and there is a dog park at my apartment that I visit often for safe play and exercise. I always supervise pets closely and follow owner instructions.
“Ana was great! She was very responsive and accommodating with scheduling. I so appreciated all the photos and updates she provided throughout the day, it was easy to tell my pup was having a wonderful time!”

“Had a wonderful experience with Azia. She was prompt with my drop off and pick up times and flexible to my schedule. She sent lots of pictures which I loved! Bella seemed to warm up very quickly to her and made herself right at home. We will definitely be coming back :)”

“Adrienne, Jarrod, and their sweet boy Remy were wonderful hosts for our Ruthie. They kept her busy with walks and indulged her frisbee habit. It was so nice that they kept me posted on all her adventures. Ruthie can't wait to see them all again soon”

“We just started using Mia for daycare (and later this week boarding), but she’s been amazing to work with. She’s a true dog person and cares for each dog as if they were her own. Our dog Birdie doesn’t do well in traditional kennel environments, so being at a home with personal, human bonding is perfect for what she needs.”

“This was my first time using this service and safe to say I absolutely loved it. I was very worried that Dixie would be upset and distant. Thankfully Dixie had a great time and socialized with the other dogs greatly. I was kept well up to date with her progress and had great communication so all my worries were put to rest. If I’m ever in the area I will definitely be going back to Mathias again without a doubt.”

“Ashly was incredible with our little golden doodle pup! We were very nervous at first with a sitter since we only had him for 4 days but she made us feel comfortable and safe!”

About: Hi my name is Madison and I am extremely passionate with animals, especially dogs and cats. I grew up around rescue dogs as pets and then pursued more experience in animal welfare organizations during college and after. Organizations such as Brother Wolf Animal Rescue in Asheville, NC and Lake Norman Humane in Cornelius. I am a current active volunteer with the City of Charlotte Animal Care and Control. Through these hours each week I am exposed to dogs and cats from all different backgrounds. My schedule is extremely flexible whether it be for walks or longer care in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. Currently I am looking for full-time work due to budget cuts at my job of 7 years. My typical day looks like job applications and volunteering for at least a few hours at the city animal shelter. Even when I am not there I love helping with dog profiles and other ways to advocate for them. Care depends on the dog and/or cat parent’s preferences since I know each dog and cat are unique. Especially in their home they are used to a specific routine and I want to do my best to uphold their “normal” to help keep them and their parent(s) at ease while away. My home situation is an apartment but there is a courtyard close for easy bathroom breaks and then great walking routes. If they prefer outdoor playtime there are parks nearby as well, or other options the parent feels comfortable with. I can also fit a crate in my apartment if that is preferred by the parent and/or dog. While I do have cats in my apartment, I can keep them separated from a visiting dog. They are used to dogs because sometimes I bring home shelter dogs as a “daycation” break away from the loud shelter. Therefore I am well-versed in making sure everyone stays safe. If taking care of a cat in their home the same principles apply to make sure they feel as comfortable in their usual routine as possible. I understand that cats are especially sensitive to change.

About: Hi, I’m Yoli. I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs and treat every pup as if they were my own. I understand that each dog has a unique personality, routine, and comfort level, and I thoughtfully adapt my care to meet their individual needs. I recently lost my dog of 13 years, and caring for her through every stage of life deepened my understanding of patience, consistency, and the unconditional love dogs deserve. I work from home, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, attention, and companionship throughout the day. Because I do not have other pets at home, your dog will receive my full focus in a calm, structured, and loving apartment environment. Whether your pup enjoys active walks, relaxing strolls, structured routines, or quiet companionship, I make sure they feel secure and comfortable while you are away. I am also comfortable caring for senior dogs and administering basic medications if needed. Safety, reliability, and clear communication are very important to me. I follow your dog’s routine closely and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident and connected during their stay. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your furry family member into a peaceful, caring home.

About: Hi! I’ve been surrounded by dogs my whole life and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. I grew up with dogs, currently have my own sweet 7-year-old pup, and actively work with multiple dog rescues where I help foster dogs in need. We have a large fenced-in backyard for plenty of safe playtime, there’s always someone here to give your dog attention, supervision, and lots of love while you’re away. Someone will always be home with your baby! They can play or go outside as much as they want! They will have plenty of play, love and cuddles! I have a fenced in back yard. My dog is very friendly and will love yours! But if that may not be the case since i also foster we have two separate ares in our house that are gated off!
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for family and friends since I was 18. I love meeting new dogs and letting brewer make new pup friends! I’ve been trusted with over night stays, feedings, baths, long walks, etc. I have dog training skills as well such as leash control, obeying commands, etc. I work remotely full time at my own schedule. I have plenty of time throughout the day for walks, bathroom breaks, play time, feedings, etc. I am able to keep a crate if needed. My apartment complex has a dog park for playing and I have a super friendly dog to keep your dog entertained and loves to play. I also live a block across from the walking trail which is perfect for walks.
About: I have hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to seniors who need a little extra patience and support. I helped raise a litter of six French Bulldog puppies, which gave me experience with feeding schedules, early socialization, cleaning, and monitoring their health and development. I also have my own service animal, Lola May, an Australian Shepherd/Husky mix whom I trained myself. Training her has given me strong knowledge in obedience, structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement techniques. I understand how important clear communication and routine are for a dog’s confidence and behavior. Lola May is also extremely dog friendly and would love to play with your fur babies! Safety is always my top priority. I am knowledgeable in dog CPR, administering medications (oral and basic care), and recognizing early signs of stress or illness. Whether your pet is an energetic puppy learning the ropes, an adult dog who loves structure and play, or a senior who needs gentle care, I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs. I treat every dog as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work as a waitress, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my availability around the pets I’m caring for. I’m used to balancing responsibilities and managing my time well. I already have a dog of my own who I exercise daily, so regular walks, playtime, and structured care are already part of my everyday life. Because of this, adding additional walks, drop-ins, or boarding feels seamless to me. I’m committed to making sure every pet in my care gets consistent attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. Caring for animals isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s already a big part of my lifestyle. Safety and comfort are my top priorities whether pets are in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. In my home, I provide a calm, structured, and pet-friendly environment. I keep floors clear, remove any unsafe items, and make sure dogs are always supervised. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible — including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, and sleep habits — to help them feel secure and stress-free. I introduce new dogs thoughtfully and pay close attention to body language to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable. For drop-in visits at a client’s home, I respect your space and your pet’s established routine. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, crating, or special needs. I always double-check doors, gates, and locks before leaving to ensure your pet and home remain secure. I also monitor for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates so you feel confident while you’re away. Whether in my home or yours, I treat every pet with patience, attentiveness, and the same level of care I give my own dog.

Fourth Ward dog parents share their Rover experiences
Anna was absolutely amazing with watching my 4 month old puppy! She was patient, attentive, and clearly knows how to care for young dogs. She sent updates, followed instructions perfectly, and treated my puppy like her own. I will 100% book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Caitlyn was absolutely amazing and took such a great care of Brody on my big day!!! She sent me pictures so I wouldn’t worry and kept us updated. Brody can be nervous and sensitive but he ran right to Caitlyn when he met her, asked for pets and watching him being so calm and comfortable made me feel at ease. Would 1000% recommend highly!

Tatiana was absolutely amazing! We needed a last-minute sitter because we were driving to Charlotte for a tasting, and our usual sitter wasn’t available. I scrambled to find someone, and very luckily found Tatiana. She was very accommodating and got us in with almost no notice. From start to finish, her communication was great. She has a wonderful yard space, and our dogs immediately clicked with her dog, which gave me so much peace of mind. Her dog is such a sweet gentle girl. She sent tons of photos throughout the stay, and I could tell our dogs were relaxed, happy, and having a great time. There honestly weren’t any issues at all. I’d definitely recommend Tatiana to anyone looking for a sitter not just because her yard is perfect for dogs, but because she’s so sweet, responsive, and truly cares. We’ll absolutely book with her again if we travel to Charlotte in the future.

I’m so happy I found her! My first Rover experience before this wasn’t great, so I took my time reading through all the reviews, and I’m so glad I went with Hayden. She had amazing reviews for a reason. She sent me multiple photos, and I could tell right away from my dog’s expression that he was super relaxed and comfortable. She was also really flexible with timing when I needed to adjust my pickup schedule. So thankful for everything. Truly the best experience!
