Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I work from home with Lap of Love, which means I’m in a calm, quiet, and compassionate environment every day. Because of my veterinary background and CVT schooling, I’m attentive to subtle changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, and stress levels. I follow all safety protocols, use fear‑free handling, and maintain a clean, peaceful space for pets who may be anxious, senior, or recovering. You can trust that your pet will be cared for with patience, gentleness, and medical awareness at all times.

Information Winnie T. would like to know about your pet

To give your pet the best and safest care, it helps to know: -Their daily routine (feeding times, potty schedule, sleep habits) -Any medical conditions, allergies, or sensitivities -Current medications, dosing times, and how they prefer to take them -Mobility needs or limitations -Behavioral notes (fears, triggers, quirks, comfort items) -What helps them feel safe or calm -Your primary veterinarian’s information -A secondary emergency contact you trust to make decisions if you’re unreachable Having this information ensures I can keep your pet comfortable, follow their routine closely, and respond appropriately in any situation while still being available for the other pets in my care.

A typical day

As a CVT student who works from home, my schedule is steady, calm, and predictable. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, companionship, and timely care. My days include quiet study time, gentle work, and plenty of breaks for walks, enrichment, medication administration, or snuggle time depending on your pet’s needs. I live just one block from a beautiful trail and open green space, perfect for relaxing walks, sniff‑time, and low‑stress exercise. My building has an elevator and no stairs, which is especially helpful for senior pets, mobility‑limited pets, or those recovering from surgery. I keep routines calm and structured, so pets feel secure, supported, and never rushed — they get my full presence and gentle care throughout the day.

Pet care experience

I’m a warm, gentle and consistent caregiver with over a decade of experience working in Emergency, specialty, End‑of‑Life, and Primary Veterinary Medicine. As a current CVT student and graduate student, I bring medical knowledge, compassion, and calm confidence to every pet I care for. I specialize in senior pets, medicated pet care (oral, injectable, topical, etc.), hospice support, and post‑surgical recovery. Every pet I meet is treated like family, and I’m honored to care for your fur baby with the same love and attention I give my own.

Winnie has been a godsend helping me administer fluids to my recently diagnosed kidney kitty. She is very patient, kind, warm and professional. She also has a lot of vetinary experience that makes us feel very well taken care of. Know that you will receive care of a high quality with this sitter.

I feel so lucky to have found Winnie as a sitter for Rowan! Whether she’s there for daycare or boarding, I always know she’s in loving and capable hands. I especially appreciate the photos and updates throughout the day. Winnie consistently goes above and beyond, even taking extra time and care to help Rowan feel comfortable when she’s anxious. I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

I leave my pup behind with Winnie with such confidence and reassurance knowing she’ll be cared for with such attention and love. My dog has separation anxiety but she’s ALWAYS happy to go to Winnie’s house! I can’t recommend Winnie enough!
