It was my first time boarding my rescue Golden Retriever and I was nervous, as Meadow has slight quirks as most rescues do. Sara calmed all my nerves as she actively sent me photos showing Meadow was eating, hiking, playing in the Carmel river, and sleeping soundly!! Meadow’s boarding at Sara’s was basically a doggy summer camp dream in Carmel Valley! Sara loved my dog as if it were her own, and that’s a testament to how incredible of a boarder she is - she’s attentive to the dogs needs and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog feels right at home. Plus the activities, I mean Meadow had the time of her life and definitely got a ton of exercise while I was gone. Even further, Meadow was tuckered out when I picked her up which was very helpful after I had full day of traveling back from the East Coast. I will be recommending Sara to anyone that asks for a rec for a boarder in Monterey, especially dogs that need activity or exercise, but even those that just want to hangout in the sun and chill with good humans. Also, Sara was extremely flexible with pick up and drop off, as I had flight changes and couldn’t abide by my initially requested time frames. They’re welcome as a member of the family and can jump on the furniture or the bed just like my animals do
