Aubrey really helped us out with last minute daycare after a death in our family. Our dog Maggie got along well with her two terriers. She updated me with pictures and texts through out the day. Thank you Aubrey!

About: Hi! I’m Linda, a dedicated animal lover with years of hands-on experience. I’ve cared for my cat, Scar, for 2 years and my dog, Shadow, for 4 years, giving me a strong understanding of both feline and canine personalities, routines, and needs. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or full of energy, I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making them feel safe and loved. I’m great with daily walks, feeding schedules, cleaning, enrichment, and giving plenty of affection. Your pets will be treated like family, and I’ll make sure you get clear updates, photos, and peace of mind while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! 🐶🐱✨ Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine because I work from home and am here 24/7. I have plenty of time to give pets constant attention, playtime, and potty breaks. Since I’m always home, I can easily keep pets on their normal schedule and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for throughout the entire day. In my home, pets are welcomed into a safe, clean, and very pet-friendly environment. I have a large backyard where pets can play and explore, along with toys, games, and plenty of space to relax. I always supervise outdoor time and make sure every pet’s routine is followed closely. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home, I focus on safety, comfort, and giving them the same love and attention they get from their family.

Just wanted to thank Michelle and her husband for watching our dog Maggie for 2 days on short notice after a death in our family. Maggie is a recent rescue who does have some separation anxiety. Michelle and her husband were very caring and accommodating. They have a beautiful yard with nice fenced in area for the dogs. She is very knowledgeable in animal care. Michelle kept me updated on how Maggie was doing. Maggie seemed to be very happy when I picked her up. She really liked Michelle's husband who has calm and soft spoken disposition. Than you again Michelle!

Kayla was awesome! My dogs are very “needy” (lol) and require a lot of time and attention. I needed a day where I could just solely focus on work and getting things done. Also, they hadn’t had a bath or groomed in awhile and their fur was starting to get matted so thought I’d get that done also. I messaged Kayla asking if she was available that week to watch them/bath & brush them. She offered to take them immediately that day! She was very nice when I met her and made me feel comfortable. She took so much care and time with grooming them while also making sure they were comfortable to make sure that she got all the matts out that she actually kept them until 9pm with no extra charge. She also kept me updated every step of the way. My boys came home so soft and clean and I could also tell she tired them out because they both came home and went straight to sleep. She sent me lots of photos of them playing which made me happy to know that they had a great time!

I have lots of experience and I am eager to make your furry family feel safe and comfy while you’re away! I work a full time job, so I am pretty available on afternoons and weekends. Typically after 3:30 PM on the weekdays, and as all day on the weekends. I have a fenced in backyard with lots of land! I have a safe and clean home that is super cozy for our furry friends.

I have some experience walking and sitting my family members animals. I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood with a park just a few minutes away from my home. I joined rover to be able to help with other animals & share my love during my time with them however you choose to book. I work from home so I will have full attention to meet all requirements for each & every pet.I don’t usually like to leave my house much while boarding so if I do it would be something important Always keep a clean & safe environment for them, also try to stick to their routine so they can be comfortable with a new person

They sent pictures & updates throughout the time with him. He also got to go on a nice long walk and played lots of fetch. Would definitely recommend and will be using Nate & Whitney again!

About: I've taken care of puppies and senior dogs for 6 years. Mainly for my relatives, friends and coworkers. Now I'm ready to branch out. I have more experience with senior dog care but I do have some knowledge in puppy training and care. I've only taken care of two cats. I'm a stay at home mom and could easily take care of 1-2 dogs at a time. My schedule is flexible. I wake up early and go to bed early for my baby. My husband and I own a duplex with an unfenced yard. Your fur baby will have there own apartment while boarding with us. I'm basically using our upstairs unit as a dog bed and breakfast. I can regularly check on them, take them out for potty breaks and walks in my neighborhood.

About: I've had a dog my entire life, so I understand the daily care, attention, and responsibility that pets need. From feeding, walking, playtime, and grooming to making sure they're comfortable and happy, I've been involved in caring for dogs for as long as I can remember. I know how important it is to stick to a pet's routine and give them patience, love, and attention. I'm dependable, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or someone to keep them company while you're away, I'll treat them like they're my own. I'll follow any instructions you provide, make sure they get plenty of exercise and care, and keep you updated so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. As a student-athlete and lifelong dog owner, I'm organized, responsible, and used to balancing a busy schedule. I have availability throughout the week and on many weekends for dog walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Your pet will always have my full attention, and I'll make sure they receive the exercise, care, and affection they deserve while you're away. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I'll do my best to keep them comfortable while you're away. Whether it's meals, walks, playtime, or medications, I'll carefully follow your instructions and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for. I'll also keep you updated with pictures and messages so you always know how they're doing.

Jeanie was so sweet and excited to have my senior pup! She sent me a couple pictures and an update to ease my mind dropping him off somewhere new. Xavier did great at her house and I could tell he was very comfortable with her when I picked him up. I’m super thankful to have found her in a pinch. Now, I know I can drop him off again!

About: I’ve spent the past eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I’ve cared for dogs with different personalities, routines, activity levels, ages, and household needs. Animals have also been part of my own household throughout those years. Our family started with two Yorkshire Terriers, Barkley and Eva, and today their son Mutombo is our resident elder. We also share our home with our cat, Tiger. Living with animals every day has reinforced something I take seriously when caring for someone else’s pet: consistency matters. When your dog stays with me, I want their routine to feel as familiar and predictable as possible. I pay attention to feeding instructions, bathroom habits, activity, rest, temperament, and how each dog adjusts to the environment. I also intentionally look for changes in appetite, energy, mood, sleep, or behavior that might be worth bringing to your attention. I provide home-based boarding and daycare rather than trying to operate like a high-volume kennel. Compatibility matters, especially when multiple dogs are present, so I prefer to get to know each dog before making them part of a regular daycare or boarding group. My goal is simple: provide the kind of attentive, dependable care I would want for my own pets while giving owners confidence that their dog is being noticed—not simply housed. I'll be sure to provide photo updates so you can see how your dog is settling in while you're away. My availability is planned around the dogs I accept rather than simply filling every open date. I provide home-based boarding and daycare and try to keep each day's group manageable and compatible. For daycare, I prefer consistent drop-off and pickup windows so the middle of the day can follow a predictable rhythm of outdoor breaks, activity, enrichment, supervision, and rest. For boarding, I do my best to maintain each dog's normal feeding, bathroom, sleeping, and activity routine whenever practical. If you send me a request, please include your expected drop-off and pickup times so I can confirm that the schedule works well for everyone. I've spent eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I've learned that good care starts with understanding the individual dog rather than assuming every dog will behave the same way in a new environment. Compatibility is important in my home. I pay attention to temperament, interactions with other dogs, comfort around household members, resource guarding, escape tendencies, stress signals, and each dog's ability to settle. I prefer Meet & Greets for new clients so we can discuss your dog's normal behavior and determine whether my home environment is a good fit before committing to regular daycare or an extended boarding stay. I also monitor for changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, mood, sleep, movement, or behavior and will communicate with you if something seems unusual.

Lisa was kind enough to help me when I needed a last minute sitter for my puppy. I got updates throughout my work day and pictures showing my Cider being loved and cared for. I was nervous using this service for a non housebroken pup but Lisa took care to give her breaks outside and show her to pee pads. I can’t thank her enough!!!

About: We have owned our great Pyrenees mix for 8 years now, and have boarded our families dogs when needed. Our dog loves to have friends over. We are a flexible and loving home. My husband and I have jobs where we are able to work from home every day of the week, so your dog will be with a trusted sitter 24/7. We have a fenced in yard and plenty of room for a second dog. We routinely take walks with our dog and would love adding another.

Aubrey is an angel sent from heaven and the moment you meet her, you know she genuinely loves dogs. We have a senior, blind dog who is a very nervous boy (justifiably) and Aubrey is just wonderful with him. We recently relocated and have little to no help, so Aubrey is an absolute Godsend to us.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 308 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Fort McKinley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fort McKinley commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 308 sitters in Fort McKinley, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
