“Took great care of our new puppy and sent update pictures and videos of her stay. 10/10 would recommend and if I’m ever back in Dayton with my dogs I would hope Katherine has availability for us to stay again.”

“Just wanted to thank Michelle and her husband for watching our dog Maggie for 2 days on short notice after a death in our family. Maggie is a recent rescue who does have some separation anxiety. Michelle and her husband were very caring and accommodating. They have a beautiful yard with nice fenced in area for the dogs. She is very knowledgeable in animal care. Michelle kept me updated on how Maggie was doing. Maggie seemed to be very happy when I picked her up. She really liked Michelle's husband who has calm and soft spoken disposition. Than you again Michelle!”

Thanks so much from me &sam again!”

“Nate & Whitney were amazing! This was my first time using Rover and it was very last minute. The two were so accommodating and my pup, Miller had a blast with them. They sent pictures & updates throughout the time with him. He also got to go on a nice long walk and played lots of fetch. Would definitely recommend and will be using Nate & Whitney again!”

“Jeanie was so sweet and excited to have my senior pup! She sent me a couple pictures and an update to ease my mind dropping him off somewhere new. About: I’ve spent the past eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I’ve cared for dogs with different personalities, routines, activity levels, ages, and household needs. Animals have also been part of my own household throughout those years. Our family started with two Yorkshire Terriers, Barkley and Eva, and today their son Mutombo is our resident elder. We also share our home with our cat, Tiger. Living with animals every day has reinforced something I take seriously when caring for someone else’s pet: consistency matters. When your dog stays with me, I want their routine to feel as familiar and predictable as possible. I pay attention to feeding instructions, bathroom habits, activity, rest, temperament, and how each dog adjusts to the environment. I also intentionally look for changes in appetite, energy, mood, sleep, or behavior that might be worth bringing to your attention. I provide home-based boarding and daycare rather than trying to operate like a high-volume kennel. Compatibility matters, especially when multiple dogs are present, so I prefer to get to know each dog before making them part of a regular daycare or boarding group. My goal is simple: provide the kind of attentive, dependable care I would want for my own pets while giving owners confidence that their dog is being noticed—not simply housed. I'll be sure to provide photo updates so you can see how your dog is settling in while you're away. My availability is planned around the dogs I accept rather than simply filling every open date. I provide home-based boarding and daycare and try to keep each day's group manageable and compatible. For daycare, I prefer consistent drop-off and pickup windows so the middle of the day can follow a predictable rhythm of outdoor breaks, activity, enrichment, supervision, and rest. For boarding, I do my best to maintain each dog's normal feeding, bathroom, sleeping, and activity routine whenever practical. If you send me a request, please include your expected drop-off and pickup times so I can confirm that the schedule works well for everyone. I've spent eight years caring for dogs in my home and have earned more than 70 five-star Rover reviews without a rating below five stars. Over that time, I've learned that good care starts with understanding the individual dog rather than assuming every dog will behave the same way in a new environment. Compatibility is important in my home. I pay attention to temperament, interactions with other dogs, comfort around household members, resource guarding, escape tendencies, stress signals, and each dog's ability to settle. I prefer Meet & Greets for new clients so we can discuss your dog's normal behavior and determine whether my home environment is a good fit before committing to regular daycare or an extended boarding stay. I also monitor for changes in appetite, energy, bathroom habits, mood, sleep, movement, or behavior and will communicate with you if something seems unusual.

I always supervise outdoor time and make sure every pet’s routine is followed closely. About: I've taken care of puppies and senior dogs for 6 years. Mainly for my relatives, friends and coworkers. Now I'm ready to branch out. I have more experience with senior dog care but I do have some knowledge in puppy training and care. I've only taken care of two cats. I'm a stay at home mom and could easily take care of 1-2 dogs at a time. My schedule is flexible. I wake up early and go to bed early for my baby. My husband and I own a duplex with an unfenced yard. Your fur baby will have there own apartment while boarding with us. I'm basically using our upstairs unit as a dog bed and breakfast. I can regularly check on them, take them out for potty breaks and walks in my neighborhood.

I have some experience walking and sitting my family members animals. I live in a fairly quiet neighborhood with a park just a few minutes away from my home. I joined rover to be able to help with other animals & share my love during my time with them however you choose to book. I work from home so I will have full attention to meet all requirements for each & every pet.I don’t usually like to leave my house much while boarding so if I do it would be something important Always keep a clean & safe environment for them, also try to stick to their routine so they can be comfortable with a new person
About: I’ve worked with dogs and have been a dog lover almost my whole life. We have helped train 3 dogs and each of them are now amazing in their own way! We have also cared for so many of our friends and family members dogs in our home and in theirs. We have a large fenced in yard as well for them to run around and play fetch a lot! Our golden retriever specifically loves this so much! I’m currently working part time, early in the mornings, so I would have plenty of time throughout the rest of the day to attend to and love for your doggos! My wife, Hannah would also be able to help play with and care for them, especially if they are staying here for the day! But either way, they would get so much love and attention, that’s a guarantee! I have a large, fenced in yard with 2 other dogs that would be such great company to yours! If I’d be visiting your doggos in your home or giving them a walk, they would get the attention and love they deserve!

We routinely take walks with our dog and would love adding another.
“Mollie was wonderful with our 6mo old Bullmastiff puppy! We were passing through during a road trip. We wanted a day to go to a museum, and our puppy needed a day of good exercise. Our dog had a great day with Mollie, her hubby, and their dogs. We are so grateful we found her and highly recommend her!”

“Lisa was kind enough to help me when I needed a last minute sitter for my puppy. I got updates throughout my work day and pictures showing my Cider being loved and cared for. I was nervous using this service for a non housebroken pup but Lisa took care to give her breaks outside and show her to pee pads. I can’t thank her enough!!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Northridge
Aubrey is an angel sent from heaven and the moment you meet her, you know she genuinely loves dogs. We have a senior, blind dog who is a very nervous boy (justifiably) and Aubrey is just wonderful with him. We recently relocated and have little to no help, so Aubrey is an absolute Godsend to us.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
