Brianna stayed at our house for 3 nights, watching all 3 of our dogs. They are big dogs who are not used to a lot of people and she was absolutely awesome with them! She was very good with communication and responding quickly. We really felt safe and confident in her abilities to take good care of our fur babies while we were out of town. I would highly recommend her!

Angela was wonderful. She visited before the overnight to meet everyone, and they all reacted positively. I came home to a peaceful house with calm animals, everything was clean and neat, feeding areas were ready for the next meal. She contacted me when one of the gang had an accident, about my preferred method of dealing with it. She arrived promptly and started sending pictures and updates. We will be having her to house sit again.

About: WHO LET THE DOGS OUT??? Me! So he/she can join me on a nice cool walk. I’ve taking care of dogs my whole life. From vet visits to fostering dogs until they found their right home. I stopped fostering dogs A few years back, it started to become very hard for me to let a dog go after spending so much time with them. I’ve been a dog mom my WHOLE life. At this point, my schedule revolves around my dogs, a mothers job is never done! I do not have kids unless you want to include my dog. I look forward to making time to fit your dog into my life. I have patience with them. Not all dogs learn and move the same. Especially with a new face coming around. But with my knowledge and my loving energy, your dog will easily fall in love with me.

I contacted Canija due to a no show from a previous sitter. I was out of town and needed immediate care for my dogs at home. She responded promptly and showed up at the agreed upon time. My dogs seemed to be well taken care of and my home was in the same state I left it in. She stayed in touch and didn't hesitate to ask questions. I will definitely use Canija again.

About: I have volunteered at an animal rescue around a year. I was responsible for fixing them food, water, cleaning their crate and playing with them. I also had a family dog growing up and currently have three cats. I work from home full-time and get multiple breaks throughout the day, so I am always available at home. I am a homebody and have the time to care for animals. I have a fenced in back yard with a grassy area. Pets sitting on the furniture and being around is no issue. I do have three cats, but I am able to keep them separate at all times.

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets with very different needs and personalities. I successfully managed a Black Lab puppy and a Pit Bull who could not safely be in the same room, maintaining strict routines and supervision to keep both calm and secure. I’ve also cared for a lively trio of Doberman puppies, an older Schnauzer, and a Dachshund puppy, adapting my approach for age, energy, and temperament. Most personally, I raised my own Schnauzer from birth and cared for them with love and responsibility through every stage of life until their passing, which deeply shaped my commitment to compassionate pet care. I am available for pet care services throughout most weekdays and weekends. As a self-employed professional, I have the flexibility to set my own schedule and can work remotely from any location with reliable Wi-Fi or phone service, allowing me to provide consistent and dependable care. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment in every home I work in. I carefully follow all owner instructions, maintain consistent routines, and supervise pets closely at all times. I manage feeding, exercise, separation needs, and introductions responsibly, while keeping the space clean, secure, and stress-free.

About: What sets me apart is the personalized care and attention I give to every dog. I understand that each pup has unique needs, whether it’s the playful energy of a puppy learning new routines, or the gentle patience required for senior dogs who may need extra support. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m used to providing care, structure, and attention as part of my daily life. As a new graduate LPN, I’ve built strong skills in time management, responsibility, and caregiving, all of which carry over to caring for pets. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely—feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medications, so pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space.

About: I've been caring for dogs since I was a kid and have experience looking after both my own pets and those of family and friends. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust. I provide a safe, loving environment and will treat your pup like one of my own, making sure they receive the attention, care, and comfort they deserve while you're away. I’m currently working part time so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! Morning outdoor time is available and plenty of time after 4pm. Your dog will enjoy a large, secure fenced yard with plenty of room to run and play. I have two friendly pups who love making new friends, but your dog can also have one-on-one outdoor time if they prefer. I can easily crate your dog if needed and provide treats (while following any allergy or dietary restrictions). To ensure your pet's routine stays consistent, I'll ask for their daily feeding instructions, medications (if applicable), and any other important information to help them feel safe, happy, and comfortable during their stay.

FAQs for House Sitting - Forsyth

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Forsyth on Rover is $27.75 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 213 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Forsyth. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Forsyth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Forsyth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Forsyth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Forsyth. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
