About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always helped my family care for them. Over the years, I’ve had 7 dogs and 2 cats, which has given me plenty of hands-on experience with different personalities and needs. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, basic care, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine. I’m available for evening check-ins and walks during the week, and I can also board pets on weekends. My schedule allows me to give your pets plenty of attention, exercise, and care while making sure they feel comfortable and happy. I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every pet in my care. I have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and get exercise, as well as one friendly dog and a cat who is used to being around dogs and gets along well with them. I can also crate your dog if needed and will always follow your pet’s normal routine, feeding schedule, and any special instructions you provide.

About: 🐾 Your pet’s new favorite bestie! ✨NICU nurse with a BIG love for animals 🐶 Dog mom to Chewy & Finnegan 💕 Overnight stays, drop-ins & dog walks 📸 Plenty of updates, pictures & extra cuddles! Hi, I’m Meg! Your pet’s care, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I’ve spent years caring for dogs for friends and family, from overnight stays to quick drop-ins, and I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality! As a full-time NICU nurse, I’m responsible, attentive, and detail-oriented. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I’ll treat yours like one of my own. Whether your pup needs a long walk, playtime, a little extra attention, or someone to keep them company while you’re away, I’ve got them covered! 🐾💗 I currently work 3 twelve hours shifts a week. This leaves me with four days off throughout the week to check on your pups. My schedule is day shift work 7a-7p. I frequently walk my dogs at home along with other family members dogs. I have plenty of experience whether they’re calm and need a slow walk, or if they need the walk to get their energy out. I am also capable of feeding, medicating, and playing/spending time with your dog.
“Gianna was a super cat-sitter! She was timely and responsive to texts and really seemed to connect well with our kitten, Bubba. Gianna did everything that we asked of her (food, water, litter box, playing toys, sending a picture during her visit) and even left us some things for Bubba and a sweet note for us when we got home. If I could give her more than five stars I would. I hope to ask her back again the next time we need someone to stop in for him! Gianna was a real find!!!”

“Wow! Morgan is a fantastic sitter!! Timely and extremely attentive to our pups. Her communication with me made our time away easy. We have three dogs which can be worrisome however she made us feel at ease with them in her care. We will definitely book her again and thank her for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend her services.”

“Our dog is a “rescue dog.” He is unpredictable. When Kayley came for a drop-in visit, he barked at her viciously even though he already knew and liked her. She stayed with him until he became calm. She showed a lot of patience with him. We appreciate her skills and empathy.”

I am retired and want to dedicate my free time to do what I love most. Spending time and caring for animals. I also know how to teach dogs some tricks they may not know yet. In the end you can rest well and know your pet will be safe with me. Your pet will have 1 on 1 time with me. If needed your pet will not have to be around other pets if that makes them uncomfortable. I understand that some animals don’t like to share their humans and can not coexist with other animals. I am an animal free home. Most of my lifelong experience has been with corgis and Australian shepherd’s although I’ve cared for many different breeds. I am always available for FaceTime during their stay. I don’t mind sending pictures and videos daily either I am retired and have an open schedule to dedicate my time to your pets. I love walking at all the different parks and bringing the pups with me to explore. I also have a pet friendly lake close by. If your dog is a swimmer i will gladly take them weather permitting. All my plants are pet safe. I don’t use any chemicals that are harmful in or outside my home. Over an acre is fenced in for your pet to run freely. On hot days I have baby pools i can fill up for your pet to play in. If your pet is a swimmer i have a beautiful pet friendly lake within 5 miles of my home and love to take them to swim. I also have several dog parks close by. When transporting your pet i have pet seatbelts for your pet’s safety. My home is extremely clean inside and out. Most importantly I will always have my eyes on your pet. They will not be left alone.
“Ashley and her wife have been absolutely wonderful with my dog Taz. They stop by Monday through Friday while I’m at work, and I’ve had complete peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring hands. Not only do they take great care of him, but Ashley has also been working with Taz on commands, which has made such a positive difference. She’s reliable, attentive, and truly goes above and beyond. I’m so grateful for their help and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter! 🐾”

“Arieanna was great! This was our first time using rover and we couldn’t be happier. My wife and I had to go out of town for a family emergency and Arieanna came by twice to walk and feed our dogs dinner at night. We will definitely be using her again if needed.”

“Katie was everything we could ask for our 2 cats. I’m very particular with my instructions as they can be difficult and she made sure to follow everything to the T. I loved that she provided detailed feedback and pictures every time. Will definitely work with her in the future!”

About: Since sneaking an abandoned newborn kitten home at the age of 14, I’ve had the privilege of gaining a diverse range of experiences in caring for both cats and dogs. Last summer my angel (chunky cat in my photos) passed away at 11 years old from sudden health issues, given no option for treatment. He was like a son to me. I've found animals are the medicine to my grief and I'll gladly dedicate all of me to caring for your pet! Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to adopt, foster, and pet-sit countless times, demonstrating my knowledge and responsibility in caring for cats and dogs of all ages and in various conditions. My experience extends to puppy training and cat socialization, allowing me to provide comprehensive care for your beloved pet. With a deep passion for animals, I assure you that I will dedicate my utmost effort and commitment to ensuring the well-being and happiness of your precious baby(ies) I’m currently working towards an engineering degree through online learning from home, which allows me to have great availability. I’m reachable by phone at all times as well. I have a big house (and spare rooms) with a large fenced yard. My patience towards animals seems to never run out because I look at them and all I see is a pure soul and a big (or small) baby. Caring for pets isn’t a chore to me and you can fully trust me to stay attuned and send lots of pictures and videos, as well as the basics like feed, walk, play, administer medication (if needed) as many times as needed. My experience with animal care is very diverse and the chances are very slim to none that I’ll encounter something I haven’t handled before.
“Andrew was fantastic! He was so detailed and he kept in touch each day. he really understood my difficult diabetic cat and made sure to show love to our other two. Having someone who comes in to give insulin really allowed me to enjoy our time away with no worries if we would have to come home early. We are so grateful and will definitely be booking again. Thanks again Andrew!!”

“Jazmin did a great job! She seemed to genuinely care for our cat, Cleo, even though it was her first time watching her. She did Cleo’s routine, played with her, and gave her attention. Cleo can be a picky and talkative senior cat, and Jazmin was dedicated to providing good care.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
