About: I have experience volunteering at an animal shelter walking and socializing dogs of many different breeds, sizes, ad personalities. I also have personal and professional experience caring for dogs, cats, fish, farm animals, and other household pets as I’ve been pet sitting in the Eugene/Springfield area on and off for about 7 years! I have a chihuahua/corgi mix and a german shepherd/great pyrenees mix so I love dogs of all sizes. I also love caring for cats as I’m not able to have one right now and I enjoy getting to know their personalities 💕 My work at the moment is just pet sitting and some occasional and mostly flexible work from home so your pet’s schedule and care is my top priority!! My large dog is reactive so I have had to do a lot of work with him so far and am constantly learning about dog behavior and training methods! I am patient and understanding of animal’s cues and boundaries which allows your pet to feel more comfortable. I’m currently doing as much pet sitting as possible to pay off an emergency vet bill but I do like to go home occasionally during overnights so I can give my senior girl some company (although my partner cares for her when they’re not at work) but I don’t like to leave pets I’m watching for more than 4 hours unless discussed first. My work is currently focusing on pet sitting so I can devote lots of time to caring for your babies! I also do some flexible work from home so I try to accommodate the pet’s schedule the best I can. I occasionally like to spend some time at home and with my senior dog (although she is also in the care of my partner) but I won’t leave pets alone longer than 4 hours or whatever their schedule is as they are priority! I will meet with you first to get a feel for your animals and what your needs are and allow your pets to get to know me so they feel more comfortable when I come in the future. I will follow any specific schedules and expectations as needed but most importantly provide a loving and patient presence for your animals! I’m good at reading animal behavior and taking things at the animal’s pace.

“Christian, his wife Renee, and their dog Kona are a great bunch to keep your pet company while you’re away. I have two small dogs that I’ve left in their care many times over the years and they have always come back happy and tuckered out. Kona is a larger dog with a sensitive nature, and he is very sweet and gentle with my littles. Even when playing, he is cautious to not be rough with them and they love him. Christian and Renee are good people and very attentive pet owners and sitters, offering lots of engagement and a secure home environment to help your pet have a great time while being safe and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

She is very kind and gentle with our pets, and treats them like they are her own whenever she is caring for them. It brings us a lot of comfort that she is a veterinary technician and very aware of their health too, so if anything were to happen she’d know just how to respond.
