Samantha was available on a few hours notice. I appreciate that, and great updates on visits. My puppy chewed up paper towels and she was nice to pick it up. So grateful for her help.

Fantastic sitter! I’m so glad that I went with Rover. Cerissa was flexible and accommodating, with great communication. She is great with my dog and pampered him just as I would. I will definitely be booking with her again!

Andrea was terrific. She took the time to meet and greet the pups before hand. She sent plenty of pictures and updates about the them. She spent the whole 30 minutes loving them and spending time. I would recommend her again. Thanks

Jonnelle has taken care of my cat twice for multiple days each time, and I highly recommend her. My cat has anxiety and usually hides from everyone but somehow he’s out and about when she drops in. Jonnelle takes time to pet him and play with him which reduces his loneliness. She also brought in my delivered packages which I did not request. She really goes above and beyond.

About: I have former experience an Animal shelter technician as well as being a vet assistant. These jobs specialized in medical attention and care of dogs and cats. I currently babysit in the morning, nights and weekends are preferred but I’m willing to house sit as well as pet sit. I have a pretty flexible schedule. A typical pet sitting day is, feeding, letting the animal relieve themselves, walk or let out into the yard. Return later to feed and crate or if the animal has specific living accommodations.

About: ⚫️ I have over 10 years of experience caring for animals of all kinds — from dogs and cats to horses, pigs, goats, chickens, reptiles, and invertebrates. ⚫️ I volunteer at an animal sanctuary for abused and neglected animals, and have cared for blind and senior dogs and cats, animals requiring daily medication, and newborns in need of bottle-feeding every three hours, including overnight. ⚫️ I know how stressful it can be to entrust your pet to someone else, so I send updates, photos, and videos during every visit — as often as you’d like! I am very outdoorsy and love going on hikes or trail walks with pets. When we’re not outside, or your pet has any physical restrictions that keep them at home, I’ll keep them busy with lots of playtime and cuddles. I always tailor activities to each pet’s personality, age, and energy level! ⚫️ Animals are my passion and my livelihood; their happiness and well-being under my care is a NECESSITY, not an option. It is my promise to you that every animal entrusted to me feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. ❤️ I have a very flexible schedule. I’m available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and I’m happy to coordinate care to fit your own schedule as well. I know how stressful it can be to entrust your pet to someone else, so I send updates, photos, and videos during every visit — as often as you’d like! I’m happy to follow any special care instructions and will always reach out if I have questions or concerns about your pet and their needs while they’re in my care.

Katie was great with Millie. We just needed her for a one time visit but she also did a meet and greet the day before. She was professional and prompt.

As someone who is extremely particular about who I trust with my dogs, finding the right sitter felt like a daunting task. After coming across Leo's profile and seeing her glowing reviews, we decided to take a chance and schedule a meet and greet — and I'm so glad we did. From the moment Leo arrived, she put my mind completely at ease. She was professional, warm, and had an incredible way with my boys — they took to her almost instantly, which honestly said everything I needed to know. We went ahead and booked her, and she exceeded every expectation. She sent daily photo updates and kept me in the loop during each drop-in visit. Knowing my dogs were happy, safe, and well cared for made all the difference. I never once second-guessed my decision. We will absolutely be booking Leo again. If you're a pet parent who doesn't trust just anyone with your fur babies, look no further — Leo is the real deal!

Whether it’s a midday walk, evening playtime or weekend adventure, I’m here to ensure your dog receives the attention, love and exercise they deserve. If you book me for pet sitting in your home, you can feel at ease knowing that I will respect your space and make it a goal of mine to leave your space as clean as you left it. Let’s connect and discuss how I can offer your dog the right care and attention to make you feel comfortable when you can’t be with them. I look forward to meeting you and your pups! I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule! I can provide pet services within or outside of regular business hours- let’s discuss your pets needs and I can likely fit them in to my schedule, no problem! I love clients who offer detailed lists of their pets needs and daily routines! I used to do the same with my dog and know that following something like this gives everyone involved (dogs included!) ease of mind.

Donna is amazing. We have a parrot that can be a bit much but she handled her with no problem. All of our fur babies were well cared for.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
