“Manny & Jessica took such amazing care of our needy cavapoo for a whole entire day while we visited Ocala! We really appreciated their quick responses & cute little update pictures especially since I made such a last minute request (the night before — sorry guys! 🥹) We wish they lived closer to us (in NYC haha) so we can continue trusting them with our little fur baby. Nonetheless, whenever we come back to Ocala, we are 100% booking with them again! Highly recommend 10/10 😊”

“Our pup got A+ care with Kimberly. She was also very communicative throughout our dog's visit and sent us cute pictures showing how much fun she was having. Highly recommend!!”

“We highly recommend Kailyn! She took excellent care of our two dogs. She is friendly and reliable and our dogs were excited to see her the next time she took care of them. So, we all like her!”

“Milito le encanta ir a casa de Stephany, ella y sus hijos son adorables, Milito se siente como en casa, sin duda regresaré a traerlo siempre que lo necesite, me da tranquilidad y a él felicidad lo recomiendo 100%”

“I initially wanted to hire her to walk Koda twice daily. I’m glad she suggested he go to her place for doggy day care. I can tell he is having a blast. The family is very friendly. They’ve just earned a regular customer.”

About: Hi there, I’m Lauren! I’ve worked with pets and animals of all different kinds in local pet stores (birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, & small animals), and I also have a background of working in a doggy daycare/boarding facility. In that facility, I was actively handling 15-20+ dogs at a time — now, I’m looking to get more one-on-one time to really care for dogs. I absolutely adore dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and would feel so honored to be able to help others with their furry friends’ needs. My family has our own beloved dog, named Duke (pictured in gallery photos), who we got as a rescue and trained ourselves. He is a rottweiler-golden retriever mix. He does not live with my partner and I, but we see him and watch him frequently for my parents! I have a special place in my heart for rescued/rehabilitated dogs! I currently work full-time from home (remotely) for a doggy daycare & overnight lodging facility, but love to give one-on-one care during the week & weekends to other pups needing some TLC when they’re away from their parents. I’ve been dog-sitting for 8 years privately for families during the week and over weekends, for daycare and/or overnight care. My favorite part is communicating with our parents about our playtimes and sending daily photos/videos. I’m available for private one-on-one daycare and overnight boarding! (2 pups from the same family maximum/day) I live in an apartment with a nature park & dog park in walking distance nearby, as well as trail walks around our complex. Furry friends are always welcome here!
“María took excellent care of Fernanda! She did an amazing job and kept me updated the entire time with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell Fernanda was happy and well cared for. Thank you so much for everything—I highly recommend María and would definitely trust her again!”

About: What truly sets me apart is the heart and hands-on experience I bring to every pet I care for. As someone who has raised and loved three dogs of my own, I understand firsthand the deep bond between pets and their people. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care — and I don’t take that lightly. My experience ranges from caring for energetic puppies to providing gentle support for senior dogs with special needs. I’ve handled everything from potty training and socialization to administering medications and creating calm routines for older pets. I’m attentive to each animal’s personality and comfort level, and I tailor my care to fit their individual needs. I don’t see this as just a job — I truly love animals, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Whether it’s a long walk, a quiet cuddle, or simply being a calming presence while you’re away, I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. Whether it’s sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medication, or just offering companionship, I’m happy to provide the same level of love and attention I give my own dogs. Pets in my home enjoy plenty of safe space to run and explore in my fenced half-acre yard. I give them lots of attention, exercise, and make sure to follow their individual routines to keep them happy and comfortable.
“Miranda was great! She took care of my dog and three cats like they were her own. They came back clean and no worse for wear. She worked with my schedule and was very flexible. I appreciated all help and understanding!!”

“Dawn was able to accommodate our very last minute request to watch our puppy while we went tubing at Rainbow Springs State Park. She was very responsive and was willing to watch our puppy longer than our booked time, since we were delayed by weather in the area. She made our anniversary trip down the river possible. We are thankful to Dawn and her children for caring for our puppy.”

“Laura loves dogs and does a fantastic job of making everyone feel great about the experience!!! She is so quick with communication and sent some very good pictures. We could even see Beau prancing and smiling so we knew he was having a great time.”

“Brenda and her family provide exactly what I was hoping for. Instead of being home all day by herself, my dog is taken care of by kind dog lovers. She also gets to socialize with another small dog. I can tell my dog enjoys being there. She runs right up to Brenda to greet her when we arrive. And when I pick her up, she is not desperate to leave. Highly recommend.”

“Brynn and husband took great care of my two dogs! They came home happy and tired after a day of playing in the backyard, lounging in the sun (a Milo favorite pastime) and walks. I do appreciate the loving care for my two dogs!!”

“I could tell Bella was comfortable with Paola. I know It’s not easy trusting someone with our furry baby. I recommend Paola to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Maria is FABULOUS with both animals and people. She always goes above and beyond in terms of her care of both my dog, Lou, and I. Maria provides daycare to Lou during the week. Lou enjoys playing (and sunbathing) in Maria's big back yard along with her two sweet standard poodles and also enjoys watching television with her children. The moment Lou met Maria he fell in love with her, and he runs straight to her door and to her the moment we arrive at her home (after being welcomed and inspected by her poodles, of course). I am repeatedly using Maria to care for Lou and will continue to do so as long as she is willing to take us in. I tell her often I am so grateful to have found her.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 397 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Fairfield. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Fairfield commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 397 sitters in Fairfield, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
