“Anas and Tate were amazing with our doodle puppy, Toni, during our trip to Gainesville for UF graduation. After a last-minute cancellation from our original sitter, we were stressed—but meeting Anas put us completely at ease. He was kind, professional, and kept us updated with photos and videos. Toni clearly had a great time! We’re so grateful and highly recommend them to anyone needing a caring, reliable sitter.”

“I had to leave town due to a emergency and Brenda took my dog and made her feel right at home during her stay. Not only did she update me consistently but she also took photos to show me how happy she was! She actually spent time with my dog, getting to know every little detail so she could learn her effectively. She gave my dog (ginger) the love and respect she needed. I would go back to Brenda 10/10 times, you won't find a more caring attentive person!”

It’s clear she truly cares about the dogs she watches. She even offered to take my father-in-law’s dog as well so they could stay together while we’re out of town, which meant so much to us. Diana is very responsive, quick to communicate, and makes the whole process stress-free. We always feel confident knowing our boy is in great hands with her.”

“Lorraine is amazing! This was the first time we left our dog in awhile and she made us feel so comfortable about leaving him behind. She sent lots of updates with photos and videos twice a day. This was Molly’s first time being boarded with her, and she took excellent care of her. Molly came home safe, happy, and well cared for. Michelle made us feel very comfortable about leaving Molly in her care. She followed Molly’s schedule perfectly and treated our fur baby with so much love. Truly the best sitter in Gainesville—especially if you’re visiting your human babies at the university! :) Highly recommend her, and we’re so glad to have found her.”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. What sets me apart is my reliability, genuine love for animals, and the peace of mind I give owners knowing their pets are safe, comfy and happy. I spend most of the time at home working remotely so they will get all my attention! I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets during the week and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and boarding. I love spending time playing with animals, giving them attention, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets are treated like my own. I have a private yard linked to trails that I walk daily, and I’d love to bring your dog along for exercise and fresh air. About: Hi I'm Gabby! Animals have been part of my life for a long as I can remember. I grew up a horse girl and while living in China finally got my own dog, Taco, who I ended up bringing back here to the states with me. Currently, my family is Taco and my two foster fail cats, Khinkali and Aeon. Before moving to Florida, I ran my own pet sitting business in Cincinnati and fell into the niche of working with animals who had behavioral issues- from cats who had severe fear of strangers to dogs who had to be specifically handled due to their aggression. Routine is so important to the well being of our pets and the ability to get out and live our lives is so important to the well being of ours. My goal is to make life easier for you and your pet and make finding a pet sitter the least stressful part of pet ownership. As a bonus I am also a professional photographer and love to send a few portraits along with my updates! I currently create my own schedule around pet sitting jobs so my availability is open and flexible! I am happy to work with you to make sure we come up with a schedule that is best for your pet. As I offer services in other people’s homes I want them to feel comfortable having me there! I am fine with any security measures such as cameras and like to discuss how often clients want updates for peace of mind.

“Manny and Jessica were so welcoming and we felt very comfortable leaving our 2 dogs with them! The boys seemed happy to return so that says it all! We will be using their services regularly.”

“Laquitta and James have been our "go to" Rover for several trips now. We like to refer to our fur baby as a velcro dog because she sticks so close to us. But it also means there aren't many Rovers she's happy about visiting. Laquitta and James are the exception. Though she's always happy to see us at the end of her stay, she loves hanging with Laquitta and James and their little fur babies.”

“Because reviews are so important to me when picking someone to take care of my animals, I’m gonna return the favor. Lorraine was wonderful with all three of my timid dogs, understood their needs, kept me posted throughout the day, and help me out when I needed short term help. I would definitely be a returned customer!”

“Kim was great! So caring of my boy and very nice about any delays on my part. Gave lovely updates and pictures that helped ease my mind when leaving my pup with a dog sitter for the first time. Keeper will definitely go back!”

“I recently needed a last minute dog sitter for my two high energy pups while I was away for a day, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Brenda. From the very first meeting, she was warm, professional, and genuinely cared about my dogs’ well-being. She gave me a walk through of her home and showed me where the pups would be and how they have plenty of backyard space with shade to run around and play. She sent the most amazing pictures of my pups playing and swimming, which put my mind completely at ease. My dogs looked happy, well-exercised, which they need as a high energy breed. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and truly attentive with your fur babies, I highly recommend Brenda.”

About: Calm, attentive care tailored to your pet. ☀️ Summer Safety Advisory ☀️ Due to Florida’s extreme heat and humidity, dogs are at serious risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke in as little as 10–15 minutes of exertion during peak sun hours. Because of this, all walks during late spring through early fall may be shortened or adjusted for safety and replaced with enrichment-based activities, shaded sniff time, or indoor play when appropriate. Your dog’s health and comfort always come first. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs, energy level, and comfort. My goal is not just to “get through” a visit, but to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a background in wildlife sanctuary rehabilitation and have served as an adoptions director, which means I’ve worked hands-on with animals of all temperaments, ages, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications ( just not injections), managing multi-pet households, and supporting shy, anxious, senior, or special-needs pets. My approach to pet care is informed by ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and force-free, reward-based training. I pay close attention to stress signals, pacing, and environment, and I adjust each visit accordingly. Whether your dog needs structured activity, calm companionship, or space to decompress, I aim to meet them where they are. 🦴 Bonus Enrichment Option I also manage one of Gainesville’s top-rated private Sniffspots, The Zoomie Zone, located in Midtown. This fully private, reservation-only yard is ideal for dogs who benefit from off-leash play without the pressure of public dog parks. Many clients choose to incorporate Sniffspot visits into walks or drop-ins as a way to provide safe zoomies, sniff-based enrichment, or low-distraction decompression time. If you’re interested in adding a Sniffspot visit to your booking, feel free to ask. Returning clients can also receive discount codes for independent bookings. Whether we’re heading out for a structured walk, enjoying shaded sniff time, or keeping things low-key indoors, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care you can trust. 🗓️ Scheduling and booking process To make sure every booking is safe, smooth, and a good fit, I require a complimentary 15-minute meet and greet for all new clients. This takes place at the location where care will be provided and gives us a chance to review your pet’s routine, home setup, safety needs, and comfort level. **Meet and greet exceptions:** * Cats do not require a meet and greet unless there are medications, behavioral concerns, or a complicated home setup * Puppies under five months may be booked without a meet and greet when appropriate * Returning clients may fast-track future bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested service so we have enough time to coordinate properly. After the initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another visit so I can become familiar with the new layout, entry instructions, and pet-care setup. 🚶♀️ Dog walks and drop-ins I organize dog walks and cat drop-ins into efficient daily routes using flexible arrival windows. This helps reduce unnecessary travel time while still allowing me to provide thoughtful, attentive care during every visit. Dog-care windows: * Standard visits generally take place between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM * Evening visits may be available for dogs who need additional flexibility **Cat-care windows:** * My preferred cat visit window is between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM * Visits requiring medication or strict timing will be scheduled around those needs whenever possible Dogs are generally prioritized earlier because of restroom needs, but every pet receives the same level of care, attention, and communication. 🐾 Premium boarding Boarding is a high-touch, in-home service for clients who want a fully hands-off experience while their dog is away. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walking, drop-in, or daycare relationship with me. This helps ensure your dog is already comfortable with me, my home, my routine, and my resident pets before an overnight stay. While boarding with me, your dog will: * Live inside my home as part of the household * Be my only boarding guest and receive individualized attention * Receive daily enrichment, engagement, and structured downtime * Enjoy supervised access to my private Sniffspot for play, sniffing, and decompression * Follow a routine tailored to their age, energy level, temperament, and physical needs Enrichment may include: * Frozen meals or food puzzles using West Paw Toppls * Sniff-based games, treat hunts, and low-pressure training activities * Nature walks or hikes at San Felasco when weather permits * Visits to quiet recreational fields when no other animals are present * Indoor play and low-impact enrichment during extreme heat or storms Most dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and very ready for a nap. 🚨 Boarding behavior and safety expectations The safety and comfort of my resident pets are a top priority. Dogs boarding with me must be safe around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. Dogs showing aggression, predatory behavior, severe resource guarding, or repeated unsafe behavior toward resident animals may not be eligible for boarding. If a boarding stay must be ended for safety reasons, care may be converted to drop-in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship whenever possible. 🚗 Premium pick-up and drop-off For added convenience, I offer pet transportation as an optional add-on. I can personally pick up or return your dog along my existing daily route, allowing you to leave your dog comfortably at home without coordinating an in-person handoff. This service is priced accordingly to reflect the additional time, travel, and personalized care involved. ⛔ Important booking policies * One complimentary meet and greet is included for new clients * Additional meetings should be booked as a walk or drop-in to cover time and travel * Every pet receiving care must be listed on the Rover booking * Bookings should be confirmed within 48 hours of the meet and greet or the requested time may be released * House-sitting and drop-in bookings follow a seven-day cancellation policy * Availability is not guaranteed until a booking has been formally confirmed by you. through Rover. If you have questions, a complicated schedule, or a pet with unusual care needs, I am always happy to talk through the details before booking. Care philosophy and communication: In my home, pets and plants are family, and every animal in my care is treated with the same level of respect, attention, and consideration I give my own. I understand that every pet has an individual personality and different needs. Some thrive on companionship, while others prefer play, structure, quiet encouragement, or simply having a calm person nearby. My goal is to be a steady, reassuring presence your pet can rely on while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in their own home or taking them on an enrichment field trip to The Zoomie Zone, I focus on creating a safe, engaging, and low-stress experience that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed Rover Card with notes about meals, potty breaks, mood, activities, and anything noteworthy from our time together. If your pet gives me an especially great photo opportunity, I may also send along a favorite edited image. Unless something genuinely requires your attention, I will not interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. My goal is to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. 🚨 Safety and stress policy Safety is always my top priority, both for your pet and for me. If a pet displays aggression, extreme fear, severe anxiety, or behavior that makes a visit unsafe, I will still make every reasonable effort to ensure their essential needs are met, including food, water, medication when safely possible, and potty access. However, I may modify or shorten the visit if continuing would increase stress or create a risk of injury. This is never done as punishment. It is a safety decision intended to prevent escalation and protect everyone involved. Any significant concerns will be clearly documented and communicated to you. 🛏️ Crate or confinement requirement for boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable resting safely in a crate, exercise pen, gated room, or behind another secure household barrier. This is a firm boarding requirement. At night, during meals when separation is needed, and anytime dogs cannot be directly supervised, boarding guests will be safely confined. This gives every animal appropriate space to rest and ensures all pets remain secure while I am sleeping, showering, completing household tasks, or briefly away from home. Crates and gated spaces are always used as calm, neutral resting areas, never as punishment. If your dog normally uses a crate, pen, gated room, or another confinement routine at home, please share the details with me so I can keep their stay as familiar and low-stress as possible. Dogs do not need to love being crated, but they must be able to tolerate safe confinement without panicking, attempting to escape, or injuring themselves. If your dog is not currently comfortable with any form of secure separation, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. In that case, drop-in care in their own home may be a safer and more comfortable alternative. This is non-negotiable.
“Julia and Allen were fantastic with our boys. We love that they limit the number of dogs they care for to 4. They followed instructions to a tee and made it where we could have zero concerns about our pups. Would highly recommend them.”
“Samantha is wonderful! She is flexible, easy going, and shows sincere care and love for my dogs, Teddy and Lou. I found her very helpful in terms of transportation for the dogs too. My dogs enjoyed their time with her and her husband. I am definitely planning to use her services again.”

“Maria and her family are VERY NICE. We were very worried at first since our dog has never been left with other people before but she made us feel at ease. Our dog was very happy and if we ever go back to gainesville again we will definitely contact her again :)”

My pups are crate trained so I am happy to make sure yours is safe and secured in theirs before I leave if that’s something that you use for their safety. Each pet is different, so I will look to your instructions for specifics on how to handle your fur baby and make the visit most enjoyable for them.
“Courtney is an angel! A true animal lover and caregiver for my boy Clifford. She is a great communicator. Stays in touch during the visit and she gives greatly detailed end of visit reports with great photos. I feel so comfortable and know my babyboy is safe in her hands. Absolutely my top choice to take care of my dog.”

I also have a very reliable car so I am very flexible with a schedule. I can care for your pet in the comfort of your home, keeping their routine, just the way they like it. From feeding, playtime, and walks to cuddles and companionship, I make sure they feel loved and secure while you’re away.

About: I have had my own dogs and cats my whole life and currently have one dog and one cat. I worked at an animal shelter through high school with all kinds of dogs and cats and am comfortable with pretty much anything they can throw at me. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s ok and sometimes they get scared when new people are around which is totally understandable. I’m very comfortable being patient with any animal who needs a little extra love and understanding. I am currently a full time student and usually my day is pretty open on any day I don’t have class and in between my classes. I have two pets of my own who I get up early to take care of before class and always make sure I’m home to take care of after class. Weekends that I’m not visiting family are usually completely free as well. In a client’s home, the most important thing for any nervous pet will be respecting boundaries. I have a nervous girl dog and girl cat so I totally understand when they are a little hesitant to new people. But if they are sociable and want plenty of love I can absolutely give that too. I am very good at reading their body language and actions to determine what they want or need in the moment and will absolutely respect that their space if they want that.
“Great with Zulu! Nadia has been absolutely wonderful walking our standard poodle, Zulu. She keeps a great pace and covers a solid distance on every walk—which is exactly what Zulu needs to stay healthy and happy. You can tell she truly enjoys being with dogs, and Zulu always comes back from their outings relaxed and content. Nadia is punctual, professional, and communicative. Highly recommend her if you're looking for someone who treats your dog like their own and actually gets them moving!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am an expert on giving medication too from having a senior dog for many years! Most importantly, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to make sure every pet feels secure, comfortable with routine, and well cared for!
About: I have taken care of a multitude of breeds and animals throughout my life. Growing up I had a teacup poodle named Clara Bow. I later had an english bulldog named Lulu. During my years in high school through present time, my family dogs include a Dalmatian, a Cavalier King Charles, and a new addition Toy Poodle. Dog walking and caring has been a task I have enjoyed and attended to since I was only a child. I have experience with pitbull breeds, as well as older dogs who may need medicine administered, diapers, etc. I look forward to taking amazing care of your cute pups! I am a college student so my schedule is different depending on the season. I bounce around between Fort Lauderdale, Gainesville, and Ocala, Florida. I work part time and have availability for walking, sitting, drop ins, etc on most days of the week. I currently own a cat of my own and she will be a year old in October. No matter which location I am in, my home is filled with comfort, cleanliness, and calm. In Fort Lauderdale there are the two dogs I mentioned, my family dalmation and cavalier king charles. My cat comes wherever I go, but when tending to services in Ocala and Gainesville it is just my one cat in the home.

“When we go out of town, we always worry about the furry family member we leave behind. We have a 9 yo diabetic yellow lab Buddy and because of his special needs, had in the past, spend most of our trip worrying if he was getting the care he needed. Until we found rover and Rhea. She is very caring and compassionate with Buddy, giving him long walks, affection and attention to his special needs. Rheas' daily report cards and photos put our minds at ease that Buddy was well cared for in our absence. Because of Rheas' compassion for animals and dependability, we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for that special caregiver.”

About: I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I’ve raised my own chocolate lab the past 9 years as well as having dogs my whole life back home. I am a graduate student in Gainesville with very flexible class schedule at the end of week and have weekends free! I’m home a lot outside of class time. I live in an apartment complex by myself with the company of my chocolate lab to keep your pup entertained! We go on many walks and to the dog park to get all the energy out.

Not only did she update me consistently but she also took photos to show me how happy she was! About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I have availability on Friday-Sunday. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“Cyndi is incredible. Great energy, welcoming home, attentive, & kept me in the loop while i was out of town. She gave me such peace of mind as I’ve never left my 2 babies with anybody overnight, Highly recommend using her for your future dog boarding endeavors!”
