About: I have taken care of my family and friends pets. They have always asked me due to trusting me so well and treating their pets well. I have and will always respect animals. Just like humans they deserve respect and proper care. I feel I have a good schedule. I don’t get out to late for work and I work a rotational shift. I work two days and then I’ll be off the next two days. It’s great rotating schedule. I care for them by giving them their respect just because they aren’t humans doesn’t mean they not get that. I give them treats when they listen and follow commands. I give them hugs and show them I care.
About: From owning a small, mixed poodles to a Great Pyrenees and a husky mix! My poodle mix was my first introduction into pure doggy love at the age of nine. For 10 years I learned to care, love, and play with animals properly and continue to do so now with my 2 year old male Husky mix and my year old female Great Pyrenees! I currently work part-time and go to school part-time, so I am more than able to bring in a wonderful pet into my daily routine! I currently have two dogs that are fenced into a separate portion of our backyard. Our backyard is pretty large considering it is outside the city, but there is plenty of space for us and our dogs to roam!
“I hired Evelyn to care for my two indoor cats because I sprained my ankle and cannot walk. She has been great with the cats, feeding them and giving them fresh water, and scooping the litter boxes each visit. I am so glad I found her at Rover.com, and I recommend her. She loves cats and is a good companion, too.”

“Our most shy cat was not apprehensive around Nayeli. He even gave her his belly for rubs on her second visit of the day! Our babies feel so safe and loved with her. We will definitely be rebooking ❤️”

“Another great experience with Paola watching our dogs while my mother was out of town. I felt at ease knowing they were in good hands and I was updated with lots of pictures and detailed descriptions :)”

“Madison was absolutely amazing! She was very friendly and responsive through text. She took great care of our pups! She showed up for each visit as scheduled and spent some good quality time with them. Stuck to their routine and kept them from feeling anxious while we were away. She sent numerous updates and pictures during each visit. We would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a good quality sitter. She loved our boys just as we would have. I felt very confident and at ease having her as our sitter. We will definitely be using her services in the future. Thank you so much Madison! We appreciate your time and your extra effort spent on making sure the pups had a stress free few days while we were away.”

Whether it’s young cute puppies or senior pets with wisdom, I’m the girl to care of your babies! I work closely with veterinarians everyday as I am working as a veterinary technician and I am also pursuing my own career in veterinary medicine. I would know exactly what to do should a problem arise. I graduated with my bachelors in Biological sciences and a concentration BioMed in the fall 2021. Ever since I have been applying to veterinary schools with unfortunately no luck. I have a lot of free time since I am only working as a veterinary technician right now. I would love the opportunity to spend some of my free time with your baby! I have three babies of my own which are no more than 10lbs. I love small and big babies and don’t have a preference as it’s extremely difficult for me to choose. I love going on long walks at mckelligon canyon but unfortunately my small dogs can’t handle that hard walk. So if your dog needs some energy to be released I am ready! Spending my free time would be the best for this crazy dog/cat girl! I am currently a full time veterinary tech. My afternoons and weekends are free. I am working from seven to about five. I do have lunch breaks that allow me to check in and I live about 4 minutes from my work. My home is clean, fenced and we have an amazing park that’s about 6 minutes away. I have three dogs and one cat. Your pet must be pet friendly.

About: Hi, my name is Kalene! I am currently active duty military in El Paso and am pursuing my BS in biology to work with animals once I get out of the military. I have had all kinds of animals my entire life such as dogs, cats, birds, bearded dragons, chinchillas, and chameleons. I was going to school for pre-veterinary medicine before I joined the military, so have plenty experience caring for animals. I have had fur babies in the past with special medical needs so if your baby needs medication, I have plenty of experience providing that. I hope to hear from you soon and that I can provide care for your furry family! 😊 Because I’m active duty, my schedule varies. But any free chance I’m able to, I would love to care for your sweet pets! My typical day I work M-F from 0900-2pm. I have a fenced in backyard and 2 sweet dogs. Brody and carnage. Brody is a 4 year old neutered chocolate lab and gets along with everybody and every dog. He gets very excited and whines a lot when meeting a new friend but he’s always sweet. Carnage is a 1 year old neutered cane corso and and its sweetest crazy boy ever. Hes very hyper and playful and loves making new dog friends. Every dog I have owed has been kennel trained, so if you require the same in your home I’m use to working with that :) I have very high standards for how my dogs are cared for therefore I will treat your dogs as my own when they are in my care.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Fabens stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fabens. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
