âAmazing as always!! I couldnât recommend Carrington enough for any service you might need. She stayed at our house while we went out of town for a week and kept in constant communication with us the entire time, not to mention the amazing photos she takes!! Our house was so clean when we got home and it was such a relief to know we could trust our pups were in good hands while we were away!â

âChristina is absolutely amazing! She took care of our three fur babies providing daily updates daily with pictures. Truly gave us peace of mind knowing they were being cared for so gracefully!â

About: I grew up around pets and have loved them ever since. I have raised multiple litters of puppies and kittens. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages ranging from 2 weeks to 12 years! I can provide crate training, can administer oral medication, as well as give eye drops and use topical medications, I also have experience with bathing both dogs and cats. Iâm currently in college and only go on Tuesday's and thursdays from 9am -4 pm I have pretty flexible hours so just message me and we can work something out! I promise to keep your pet(s) in safe and loving hands! Potty breaks always come first, along with any other specific instructions such as feeding, filling water bowls, administering medications, etc. Me and your pet can play, cuddle, go for walks, or I can just be there to keep them company while they do their own thing. Whatever it is, Iâm there to care!
âThis the first time I decided to leave my dogs with a sitter. I could not be more pleased with the care and attention Amanda provided to my dogs. I HIGHLY recommend Amanda to anyone considering having someone watch their pets :-))).â
About: As a lifelong dog owner and passionate animal lover, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. With years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, I offer reliable, loving, and personalized pet care. Whether your pet needs a daily walk, playtime, or just some extra companionship while you're away, Iâm here to ensure they feel safe, happy, and well-cared-for. I treat every dog as if they were my own, providing the attention, affection, and care they deserve. I am currently a substitute teacher, so I control my own schedule! I continuously care for my own animals: 4 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds, 8 chickens, and one lizard. I have grown up with animals my entire life! I am well versed in dog and cat behavior and am able to tell when they are uncomfortable. I do my best to gain their trust if they are more shy individuals, and by the end of it we become best friends. Wherever I go I make friends with the animals around me!
âHereâs a draft for your review: Hannah is an exceptional pet sitter! Our dog usually takes a while to warm up to new people, but Hannahâs calm and patient demeanor quickly put her at ease. She went above and beyond by providing regular updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. On top of taking great care of our pup, she also helped with our plants, which was a huge bonus. Weâve already booked her for our next trip and wouldnât hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter. Thank you, Hannah!â

âMisty is absolutely the best! Our fur babies mean so much to use and we never worried about them for the week we were gone knowing Misty was taking care of themâŚshe is awesome and we will definitely have her stay with them againâ

âRyan is wonderful with our pets! He is able to handle our 92 pound hyper 10 month old lab and our 15 year old anxious chihuahua. Ryan communicated the perfect amount with us during our trip and left our house in the same condition as when we left. We already have him booked for our next vacation! Thanks Ryan!â

âWaymon was great!! Our original sitter was a no show and Waymon saved us and our trip. He was available for us on such short notice and provided us with lots of photos and updates to keep us at ease and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend!â

About: Hi! I'm Susi, and my goal is to make your time away as stress free as possible, for both you and your pets. My experience comes from being a lifelong dog owner and understanding firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I know that every dog has their own routine, comfort level, and quirks that make them who they are. Thatâs why I focus on providing personalized care for one family at a time, creating a calm and comfortable environment where your pet can feel safe and loved. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new, so I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, giving you peace of mind while you're away. I'll follow your instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite toys and bedtime routines, so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. When your pet stays with me, they'll receive the same love, patience, and care I'd want for my own family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and Iâve structured my schedule so every pet in my care receives consistent attention, companionship, and supervision. Iâm home everyday of the week and have plenty of time for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and maintaining your petâs normal routine. I attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm and 6pm-9pm, but someone is always home, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. Because I only care for one familyâs pets at a time, Iâm able to give them focused, personalized care instead of dividing my attention between multiple bookings. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress free as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets can settle in and feel like part of the family. I have a large, fully fenced yard for supervised potty breaks, playtime, and outdoor enrichment, along with a quiet dog park just a few blocks away that is usually empty. I only use the park when it is appropriate for the individual dog and with the ownerâs permission. I also have a dog (Jayda) of my own who is friendly, calm, and respectful of other dogsâ boundaries. I always prioritize safe introductions and closely monitor interactions so every pet feels comfortable. If a visiting dog is not comfortable around other dogs, my home has separate rooms and spaces where pets can be safely kept apart whenever necessary. Their comfort and safety always come first. Because I care for one family at a time, I can give each pet personalized attention and follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. For care in a clientâs home, I respect both the petâs routine and the home itself. During drop-ins or house sitting, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, litter box or yard cleanup, medication when needed, playtime, affection, and any other care instructions provided. For walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and letting each dog move at a pace that suits their age, energy level, and comfort. No matter the service, I send regular photo and message updates so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving attentive care.
âJasmine was nothing short of amazing! She took care of our two dogs and our house for three days while we were on vacation. She is a natural with animals, making our rescue dogs feel safe and secure. They loved her! On top of taking them on walks and playing with them, she also kept our plants alive during the heatwave and fed the multitude of wild birds who frequent our feeders. She even laundered the sheets on the bed where she slept. All and all, we found her to be trustworthy and reliable, just like one of the family. We're so lucky to have found her.â

About: Iâve cared for animals my whole life, dogs, cats, small pets and Iâm known for being calm, patient, and detail-oriented. I specialize in in-home care so your pet stays relaxed in their familiar space. Iâm comfortable with seniors, puppies, and anxious or shy pets, and I follow your routines exactly (feeding, meds, potty schedule, exercise). My schedule allows me plenty of time for quality pet care! Iâm available most mornings and evenings. I do work part time and have my kids week on week off so between work and kids I make time for pet walks and pet care when I have my kids. When I don't have my kids, I have more available hours and can-do house sitting locally in the placer county area. I take caring for pets in their own home very seriously and always treat your space with respect. I follow your routines exactly ~ meals, walks, meds, and bedtime ~ so your pets feel calm and secure while youâre away. I keep everything tidy, lock up carefully, and provide regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your home and pets are safe and well cared for. My goal is to make your time away completely worry-free.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 975 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Everglade. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Everglade walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Everglade maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Everglade choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justiceâs National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Everglade. On Rover:
- 98% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
