About: Hello, my name is Alexis R. and I've been around animals my entire life! I was raised in a small valley on a farm where the animals I would care for ranged from baby goats to outdoor cats to fostering rescue dogs. Growing up meant being around animals 24/7, and we all had responsibilities as kids to take part in caring for them and making sure they had the highest quality of life. My highest level of experience comes from taking care of all the rescue dogs we had come through our home. We valued every life and I know what its like to take care of all kinds of dog breeds and whatever ailments they may or may not have. On that note, I was a dog-sitter, dog-walker, and even farm-keeper for a few years in my home town as a young 15 year old, so I have experience stepping out of my own home and caring for other people's fur-babies. In short, I know my way around all that fluff-and-stuff and would love to continue this around my new home in Portland!

About: Have trained dogs in the past and love all animals, emotional support training. Pet owner my whole life as well, three pitbulls and two cats I work remotely so my schedule is flexible just looking to fill parts of my day doing things I love which is spending time with animals. I love to update pet parents with frequent pictures so that you can see your pets are receiving lots of love, attention, and affection while you are away from home.

“Katy was nothing short of amazing. She was caring and loving with our Yorkie, Niblet, and frequently updated me on him with videos and photos. As a bonus, Katy also offers housecleaning services so not only did we come home to a happy pup, we returned to a spotless space!”

About: I am always the first person people call when they need someone to watch their beloved pet. Why? Because I am responsible, intuitive, loving and active. I like long runs through the many trail and Rollerblading along side highly energetic dogs. I'll stroll the waterfront or safely roam secure parks with them. I will always be on time and prepared for every walk, with water and treats. I can also help with training your pet, and I am open to learning new tricks of the trade. I just moved to Utah from Oregon and I truly miss all the animals I use to care for, I see this as an exciting opportunity rebuild my network of furry friends, make new human friends and stay active.

About: What sets me apart is my experience with dogs of all ages—from energetic puppies needing guidance to senior dogs requiring timely medication and gentle care. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs, ensuring they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I treat every animal like family, with personalized care and consistent routines to keep them happy and healthy. I am currently working full time as a para at a local elementary school. However, I will not be working this summer, therefore my time is entirely free to care for your animals! I care for pets in their home by following their usual routines, giving them plenty of love, playtime, and attention, and keeping their environment clean and safe. I make sure they feel comfortable, stick to feeding and walk schedules, and provide updates to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.

Alexis R.
“Hello, I am writing this in regards to Alexis R. and why she would make a great candidate/member of the Rover team. I would like to first start off with the fact that Alexis Rague has grown up her entire life with dogs (and pets). There has not been a day where she has not interacted with a dog in some way. Growing up, she usually had two dogs around her, sometimes three. She would always wake up in the morning and take them for walks, sometimes she would do it later in the evening after work, but she'd always make sure they go their exercise. She also knows when not to walk a dog. She can usually tell when they're tired or sore and then will judge accordingly on what walk to take them or to not take them for a walk at all so they don't get more injured. Aside from that, she is super friendly with all kinds of dogs. She grew up with so many different breeds that she has become comfortable with all types of breeds. She currently has a Corgi which she has raised since it was a puppy, and she takes care of her dog very well. When it comes to customer service, Alexis R. has been working in the catering, food and restaurant service for many years. She is accustomed to dealing with customers and making sure that the customer is taken care of, whether it's food service or just general inquiries from the guests. She was a sous chef which requires a lot of communication capability and she has proven she can communicate very well as she rose up the ranks to sous chef. What makes Alexis R. a great person is that she is very friendly to everyone around her. She knows her boundaries, can make fast decisions and is super fun to talk to. She's very helpful, especially when it comes to animals. She grew up on a farm, so she has a good work ethic. Overall, she's a very kind, responsible, hard-working individual who I think would be a very valuable addition to the Rover team.”
