About: I’ve always loved animals and genuinely enjoy spending time caring for them, playing with them, and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I understand that pets are family, so I treat every dog with the same patience, attention, and love I would want for my own. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have fresh water, get plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime, and feel safe while their owners are away. I also understand that being in their own home helps many pets feel more relaxed and secure. About: My husband and I are furtunate enough to work from home. Along with our adult daughter, we take pleasure in caring for, and showering love on, our furry guests. I began my career as a professional dog trainer/behaviorist in Southern California in 1996. It wasn't until after our move to Las Vegas in 2002 that my business was truly established. However, in 2011, we unexpectedly uprooted and moved to Houston, TX, and found myself heading into a new venture in the dog industry. During our 9 years in Texas, I become involved with other canine endeavors, including competing in AKC Conformation with our Akitas and Whippets and occasionally assisting in breed-specific and all-breed rescue organizations. After moving to northwest Mississippi in August 2020, we decided to continue offering our boarding and pet care services because of how much we enjoy it. In addition to playing with dogs, I have a part-time position in my home, which enables me to give each of our canine guests plenty of attention. My husband works full-time from home and is always available as a backup in case I have to run off to an appointment. Also living in our home are our two young adult daughters, Beth & Rachel. We are all dog lovers who also happen to be "dog-wise". Our own dogs are friendly and well-behaved and enjoy having fur-friends come to visit. Admittedly, we do have a good amount of dogs, but we have established a great routine and, if our fur-guest isn't too sure at first, we have plenty of options in keeping dogs separated until our fur-guest feels comfortable and happy. We have a considerable amount of experience at pairing dogs in appropriate play groups according to size, temperament and activity level. Our home is situated on nearly 2 acres with about a half-acre securely fenced for dogs to play in. Our active guests will have tons of fun outside playing with each other and chasing squirrels, in addition to spending a large portion of the day and all night relaxing inside our home. Our more sedentary guests have plenty of laps, couch space, and dog beds to laze around on. While crates are a useful tool for keeping dogs comfortable and safe, especially during the brief periods nobody is home, rest assured your sweet babies will not be locked in a crate for long periods. We also have extensive experience with many types of animals, such as chickens, goats, donkeys and horses and offer drop-in visits, where we come to your home to feed, exercise, and interact with your pet(s) and/or farm animals. Our fee is "per visit" and is the same regardless of the number of pets/animals. Additionally, I offer house sitting on a case-by-case basis where I spend nights at your home. Again, our "per night" fee is the same regardless of the number and type of pets/animals in your home or on your property. However, a premium may be assessed if the care of livestock is fairly substantial. Currently, we are only serving the areas of Holly Springs, Byhalia, and Red Banks for drop-in visits but are available to drive longer distances for house sitting. Feel free to request more information. We have a securely fenced yard and friendly dogs to keep your dog company during the periods I am working in my home office. Our weekends are typically not very busy, but there are 4 of us available to love and care for your pet. We begin each day with a quick stretch of the legs and a potty break followed by breakfast then playtime outside. Dogs are divided into small groups according to size and play style then rotated between fun time in our fenced yard and relaxing in our home on dog beds and couches. Evenings are often spent playing family games or watching a movie. For bedtime, dogs can sleep in our rooms, on the couch, or in their crate, depending on where they're most comfortable.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was 15. I house-sat for a month and took care of 4 cats and one dog at once. I have taken care of lizards, fish, hamsters, dogs, cats, and rabbits. I have been responsible for administering medication and food on a schedule and facilitating potty time and play time. If they need a bath, I will give them a bath. I can give medication if needed. walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
