About: Working at Chicago Dog Runner 24 years ago started my journey towards providing the most exceptional pet care. About: Dogs are my great addiction. I've owned dogs and walked and trained them all my life, but until I settle into my next job, I can't have a dog of my own again, so I'm petsitting and walking dogs for extra “dog time.” I have trained dogs for decades and now I also walk dogs at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. in the past, I assisted a vets, once in the mobile spay/neuter clinic in the Navajo Nation, and in a few other instances with wildlife rehab and injured animals. I kept all my own dogs into old age and love senior dogs. With my family I raised 2 litters of Shepherd puppies, and Ive fostered mothers and puppies at my home. About: I have been a massive lover of all animals since I was very young! Most of my working/living situations over the last 10 years have been with more animals than people, including living in two households where Rottweilers and French Bulldogs were bred. I work at Santa Fe Tails here in town and am professionally trained in all the ins and outs of both daycare and boarding and have even fostered multiple animals from the Espanola Humane Society. I currently work part time at Santa Fe Tails, so I have a lot of free time to watch your animal and give it lots of attention! There is always somebody home so your animal will still be watched and let out as needed if I have to go in for a shift (which typically lasts about 6 hours). I am happy to cater to any specific pet needs as well (Ex: Walks, medications, baths, etc.) I live in a spacious, heated house with a large, fenced in yard and plenty of indoor, wood floor space for your animal. I also live with an English Lab who is a total sweetheart that I take on walks and hikes every day. So I am happy to take your dog for a walk or hike while it stays here as well if you would like.
