“Katherine did a great job taking care of my three cats. She did everything I asked and even sent me pictures of them. Her fee was very reasonable. I will use her to watch my cats again in the future if needed!”

About: I used to work for a pet boarding company for a few years where I was feeding, walking, supervising play between dogs, and cleaning their kennels/litter boxes. I have also taken care of friends and families pets while they were away! My aunt fosters cats and whenever she does, I’m always helping her out. My roommate has a cat, Casper, that I take care while she is in class or at work. I make sure to feed him, give him enough water, and obviously play with him! Your pets safety is my number one priority. Making sure they feel safe and comfortable with me in the home is a must. Ensuring they are securely leashed while outside, respecting their boundaries, and enclosing all food around them are a few ways I make sure pets are safe in your home.
“Kaitlynn was great: last minute “yes”, pleasant to work with, flexible and accommodating, loved up on our dog for us while we were away. Definitely will use again and recommended for your dog sitting needs! Thank you.”

“Hello Amy !! I’m soooo happy he finally came out to play !! Txs for the pictures too !! BTW.. I forgot to mention that the trash can is on the far side of the garage but ur welcome to leave it just outside the laundry room door (ie in the garage) Many Thanks ;)”

“Cathy was fantastic looking after our cats. We got lots of photos each day, which our previous Rover didn’t do. We will definitely have Cathy watch our cats next time we head out of town.”

About: I regularly pet sit for friends and family. 1-3 weeks mostly; but can do just a few days as well. Private home with a fenced yard. Dog lead in yard is available. I love to walk! Short or long walks are all fine with me. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. I’ve owned 3 in my adult life. I even fostered a dog for 9 months! It was hard to give her up; but she went to a loving home. I’m honest and trustworthy and dogs just make every day better! I work a pretty flexible schedule. I’m retired so I have lots of time. If your dog likes car rides and public parks…awesome! There’s also 2-3 dog parks not far from my house I have a big yard that's about 70 yards deep and I have a secured lead in both front and back yards. For added safety, I attach an air tag to your pets collar. There are sidewalks all around my neighborhood for safe walks on a leash. I'm not a fan of dog parks. I prefer to select my walking path to ensure your pets safety. I live alone.
About: I’ve been a pet owner since childhood, and known from a young age how much responsibility caring for a dog is, and how important it is for their well-being. I love getting to know other dogs personalities, because each one is so interesting! Not only can I teach them what I know, they can teach me as well. I've had multiple dog-sitting gigs from family and friends, but I'm ready to expand to meet new dogs! I recently finished my graduate program and waiting to start my new job. If I am not traveling, I am usually available any days of the week for walks and dog sitting! I have a yellow lab of my own that lights up when meeting new dogs. I have a fenced in backyard with grass and trees for dogs to play with each other or with me! I can always help dogs released some energy with fetch, or even more with a long walk (at least as long as they can handle).
About: Since I was a child, I’ve felt a deep, pure, and noble love for animals. To me, dogs and cats are not just pets — they are loyal, loving souls. They are the children life gives us on four paws, and one of the most beautiful kinds of companionship you can experience. This special connection drives me to care with my whole heart. If you choose me as your pet’s caregiver, you can trust that I’ll offer them all the love, respect, and patience I have. I treat every animal like family, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and deeply loved. You won’t regret it. ❤️ I’m currently available part-time from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays I have full availability to care for your cat or dog throughout the day or as many hours as needed. I’m happy to adapt to their routines and needs, always with love and dedication. Care in my apartment is filled with all the love and respect your pets deserve. It’s a calm, safe, and cozy space where they can truly feel at home. We also have beautiful green areas nearby for playtime and walks, and a dog park close by- perfect for fun and social time if they’re used to it. Here, they’ll not only be well cared for… they’ll be happy.
“Angel was extremely responsive when setting up the meet and greet and took amazing care of Mr Cat! She sent daily photos and updates and he looked happy and cared for!”

About: I have been a pet owner all my life and always have had a passion for animals growing up. I have been professionally pet sitting for many years now. I have 2 rescue dogs named Gemma and Ollie who I absolutely adore. I enjoy what I do and would be happy to watch your fur babies! I do accounting during the day but work from home so I have plenty of time to care and play with your pups! I have flexible drop off and pick up times too because of working remotely. I have a fenced yard with 2 friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. We also have a camera to keep an eye on your pups if we step out for a bit.
About: I have had 2 dogs in my 26 years of life. one was a black lab and had a labradoodle for 15 years. I have always loved dogs and when I see one I have to pet it. When I was younger, all of my neighbors would ask me to watch their dogs while they were on vacation so I have a lot of experience handling lots of dogs that are not mine. I live in a 3 bedroom condo with an outside deck and grassy area. I have a bachelors degree from UK and currently work for Delta in reservations. In college I was involved in a club where we train puppies to become service dogs one day and help someone in need! I will always make sure your pets are well taken care and loved while you are gone! your pets will always be a priority while in my care. My work schedule is flexible. My typical day I work 11:45am-8:15pm and have two off days. I if the dog is staying with me I will be able to provide around clock care, if I am watching the pet at your residence I will be able to visit 2/3 times per day on days I work I always think about the pet. I think of the pet as if it is my own and want to make sure they receive love and care while you are away. I have watched dogs who have anxiety when away from their owner and take the extra time to make sure they feel loved and cared for as much as they will let me while you’re away.
“Olivia is the best cat sitter! She really spent quality time with my cat Cleo and the pics she sent proved it. I’ve rarely seen my cat look so in love and happy with a new person. Will be booking with Olivia in the future:)”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was younger. I am reliable to take care of your dogs like they are family! I work from home a full time job. I am off on the weekends. If your dog stays with me through out the day/week, they can go to the restroom whenever and get constant cuddles! I am willing to feed, play, and walk your dogs. We can always talk specifics and the dogs needs. I am very flexible and am willing to help.
About: I’ve been around dogs ever since I was a child! I grew up with 2 Beagles, Chocolate Lab, Lab mix, and a Great Dane. Now that I have moved to Cincinnati, I have many volunteer hours walking dogs and taking them on day trips through Cincinnati Animal CARE! I also have experience house sitting 2 Dachshunds, 2 Golden Retrievers, a hound dog, one blue healer, and one Yorkshire Terrier over the course of 4 years. I’m currently studying Architectural Engineering at UC so my hours of availability vary during the week. I’d be available 12-2 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and 3-10 on Tuesdays and Thursday’s. On the weekends I’d be available at your request! I understand that not all dogs need the same kind of attention to keep them happy! I’m comfortable playing fetch, tug of war, running around, or throwing frisbee for hours if needed but I’m also comfortable going for a nice slow walk with many breaks and lots of pets! I’m very patient when it comes to working with dogs and I prioritize making them feel safe and loved in all environments.
About: I have been around all kinds of animals since I was born! Growing up, my family ran the county animal shelter. With this, my family and I have fostered animals since I was 3! I have experience with cats, dogs, bunnies, and horses, all of various breeds, sizes, and ages. I have trained service animals and have even been the veterinary assistant in a surgery on one of my Great Danes. I am currently working towards pursuing a career in service animal and K-9 unit training. I love all animals and hopefully you choose me to love yours! I currently work full-time as a social worker. Despite this, I have a lots of free time to spend with your furry friend! I love animals and adjust my schedule to make time for them. I make my own schedule and my job is hybrid, so it is very easy to flex my schedule around your animals needs! Being a recent college grad, I don’t have any animals of my own yet. However, with my clients I have varied care depending on your service! With walking and home care services, I make sure to put all items back where I got them (leash, toys, etc) and make sure the pet has fresh water and food if applicable. In all home services, I make sure to leave the home better than when I got there!
“Destiny was great. She responded fast and always checked in with us with any questions and updates about our dogs. She sent us pictures each time she took care of our two dogs. I highly recommend Destiny and we'll be sure to book her again next time if she's available.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Erlanger
Thanks for everything this last week! You’ve been amazing. Thanks for all the pictures and the toys you left for them. You really didn’t have to do that but it’s much appreciated! I’m sure the toy truck was just a result of some anxiety from being left home alone. I hate leaving them home like that but having someone like you stop by sure helps. And it looks like Petey warmed up to you pretty well!

Laura has been absolutely amazing with my dog. She does weekend check-ins and walks for us, and I genuinely couldn’t ask for anyone better. My dog can be a little more challenging than most, but Laura is incredibly patient, thoughtful, and attentive with him. She really takes the time to understand his personality and needs instead of just going through the motions. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. You can tell she truly cares about the dogs she works with, and that makes all the difference. I highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and dedicated. She goes above and beyond every time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
