About: I am a woman in my late 50's, (a mom and a grandma) who has been taking care of "critters" of all types for over 20 years, between Texas, and my home state of Minnesota. I am basically available all the time since I am retired from my career field, in Nutrition, and do this full-time now. I have done pet sitting, on the side, even while working in my career field, as animals have always been my passion. My place is in the country and very pet friendly. I have a small Chihuahua mix, a standard Dachshund, and a shepherd mix, who are all quite friendly. Your pet can be immersed with mine, or kept in a separate, fenced area; whichever works best for your pet. All can be confined as to provide your fur baby plenty of tlc and attention.
“We hired Jennifer to support a need for reoccurring doggie daycare (3 days a week). I have found she is very communicative, personable and shows care to our grand-dog. She completes the “Rover Card” after each visit and will also include some photos. She has also shown flexibility when we needed it. I appreciate the peace of mind she is providing to our family. I highly recommend her services.”

“Geneva and family did a great job with taking care of Chloey. They were very flexible with the time change I requested and Chloey loved all of their furry family. Would definitely book them again if I am ever in the area.”
“Chelsea was great with our young german shepherd. We were able to leave her all day without worry, and pick up/drop off was super easy. She was very friendly and we would be happy to have her watch our dog again!”

“Terri is an awesome lady. Yeti & I think she hung the moon. Yeti & I went over last night & met Terri & her fur team & we left there so excited about our Doggy Day Care time today. Yeti was there early this morning & stayed all day. I am absolutely sure he had a blast with all of them & the new experience. I received pictures of my little man playing & being very adventurous & I received a report on what all he did. It was so awesome & very comforting. He barely made it home before falling asleep. Yeti will be going back to play with Terri, LeRoy, Dex, Gator & Big Red. What a wonderful team. ???”

About: Hi! I'm an experienced animal lover with 5 years of hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic. During that time, I gained extensive knowledge of animal health, behavior, medications, and recognizing when something isn't quite right. I'm also a stay-at-home mom, which means your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and love throughout the day. I understand how important it is for pets to maintain their routine and feel comfortable while you're away. Caring for animals has always been my passion, and I truly treat every pet like they're my own. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or just relaxing with company, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I'm comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including puppies, senior pets, and those with special care needs. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and my goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, compassionate, and attentive care. I can't wait to welcome your pet into our home and give them all the love and care they deserve! My schedule is very flexible! As a stay-at-home mom, I'm home for most of the day, allowing me to provide frequent potty breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of one-on-one attention. Your pet will be part of our daily routine and will receive lots of love, care, and supervision throughout their stay. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time and provide a clean, loving environment where pets are treated like family. With 5 years of veterinary experience, I’m comfortable administering medications and recognizing when a pet may need extra care or attention.
About: I am a dog trainer for a reputable national company, looking to fill my life with even more dogs! I have 5+ years of experience caring for dogs in my home and carry liability insurance. If you send you dog to stay with me, they will be provided with a fun, structured and safe environment and just may learn something new while here! I am a full time dog trainer that only does board and trains (dogs come to live in my home), so work from home and already have a very structured schedule of potty breaks, walks and training time scheduled throughout my day! Your dog will be cared for like they would be at home! I am very focused on safety with any dog that comes into my home. Dogs are crated at night and when not being supervised. I do have two dogs of my own, both are extremely social, so if your dog is social, they will be allowed play time! If your dog is dog selective or does not like other dogs, I can easily accommodate your pup as well and will provide them with plenty of separate attention without other dogs around. I do structured pack walks once a day, and individual walks for unsocial dogs or owners that would prefer their dog be walked separately from a pack. Boarding client dogs will get a minimum of 4 potty breaks per day in my fenced yard, at least one walk, and fed on their regular schedule per owners instructions.

As of August 2026, there are 381 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Era. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Era commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 381 sitters in Era, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
