In general, I prefer to clean the litter box periodically throughout the day (for dogs bathroom breaks every two hours or less is optimal), as well as replace their water 2-3 times. I believe intellectual stimulation everyday is important via playing or other new experiences. I also own adjustable harnesses for supervised outdoors time so long as that is something you’re comfortable with.
