About: I’ve taken care of many types of pets including dogs, cats, rats, lizards, and many others. My main skills that I prioritize include basic dog training. Structured walks available. I’m currently full time (work from home) and can be available on the specified days I have listed on my profile. Open to specific requests if needed! I care for pets according to the owners specific situation and requests. Please advise on the rules and they will be followed to the best of my abilities !

“Lauren was very communicative and responsive for our entire vacation. She went above and beyond to make sure Forest had what he needed and even got him out on some nice long walks. She also made sure things around the house were taken care and even took a few additional requests with ease. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone else who needs loyal and proper care for their furry friends.”

About: Hi there! I'm Bree, a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages and personalities I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and loved when you’re away. That’s why I always communicate clearly with pet parents to understand their needs before taking up a job. I want the best experience for all parties. I can send regular updates, photos, and even a few videos to keep you in the loop! I'm currently working 3 days a week, usually Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 8 am to 3 pm at the latest. Pet care can fit into my schedule very well, depending on the needs and wants of the owners and pets. I am very flexible and can adjust accordingly Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I treat every pet with the same level of love, respect, and attention I give my own. In your home, I do my best to keep your pet’s routine consistent—mealtimes, walks, play, and quiet time—because I know how important structure is for their well-being. I’m careful to follow your instructions exactly, and I always double-check details like feeding guidelines, medication, and home security (doors, gates, etc.). I also send regular updates if needed, so you know your pet is happy and safe while you're away.

“Lydia did a great job sitting for our pups for the 1st time during our extended trip. Eddie even didn’t feel well and she made him rice and ensured he felt better. House was cared for and she even brought in all our mail. It was a great experience.”

“Haley was an absolute gem when it came to taking care of our two dogs, Murphy and Rosie. From the moment she met them, it was clear she genuinely loves animals. Both dogs warmed up to her instantly. She kept us updated with photos and little notes. I wholeheartedly recommend Haley to anyone who wants a responsible and caring dog sitter !”

“Karina was absolutely wonderful! We were so worried about leaving our two dogs with someone unfamiliar, but they warmed up to Karina so quickly and had a blast while we were away! She was timely to every meetup and sent regular morning and night updates with loads of pictures. Karina even got them little bow ties and a cake toy for their birthday which was so sweet! She was very quick with responses too when we needed to communicate with her. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!!”

“Jess stayed in my home for 15 days and took care of my mini pig (lives inside), 3 cats, and fish. She went above and beyond. She had some issues with a grumpy pig the first few days and I am beyond grateful that she stuck it out and gave him the time and patience he needed for her to be accepted into his circle. She really made our trip so much more relaxing as I didn't have to worry about my fur babies or home while we were across the world. I appreciate her effort, time, and love she gave to my pets. I will definitely have Jess back and recommend her!”

“Jodi is amazing. Will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future ! Great communication and having her watch our pets was a perfect. We happily enjoyed our wedding knowing they were safe and loved.”

About: My grandfather and mother both have an animal science background so I was raised with a knowledge of animals and how special they are from a very early age. Because of this, I care deeply for the well being of your pet and treat them as my own. I think animals reflect the best of human behavior. I believe that animals have an innate power to heal and connect that is awe-inspiring. This ability I witnessed first hand growing up with a golden retriever and a German shepherd, the later becoming a therapy dog and certified pet partner for my family. Lastly, I have taken care of dogs of all ages and breeds from 1 month to 16 years, from 15-130+lbs, and done some by house sitting, walking, and boarding. I love all dogs, but am partial to bigger ones because that it was I grew up with since age 10. I currently work full time so I am available after or before business hours during the weekdays (8am-5pm, Monday-Friday) or anytime on the weekends to walk, visit with or house/dog sit. I currently WFH on Fridays, so my house/dog sitting is limited to Friday - Sunday. I can commute from anywhere in the metro Albany or Saratoga Springs, NY region so dog walking and/or drop-in visits are posible any day, most weeks. I will do my best to make your dog feel like nothing has changed in their own space (your home). On walks and during play visits, I will make sure they are comfortable, constantly watching body language for anxiety, fear, and exhaustion, etc. and will let their behavior dictate the pace, duration, where we go, and when bathroom breaks are needed. I treat walk and play time as their time and I am just there to make sure they have the most enjoyable time possible, while protecting their safety and health.

About: Its been 3 years since I’ve last been on Rover due to having a small child so I’m starting out on here all over again ☺️ My daughter is in school and camp now so I have time to help owners who don’t have a flexible schedule make sure their loved animals are taken care of. I have a big dog of my own who stays in the yard most the day or on the couch! He plays great with other dogs & is also a lover. I am a free spirt. I love hiking , trails, or just walking in the neighborhood. I offer hair brushing, bathing animals, nail clipping/grinding, and can brush their teeth if needed. I love taking dogs swimming at lakes and streams, running, and exercising animals are also some other fun things I offer. I’m full of energy & love animals- my favorite animals are horses & dogs. I am a self employed hairstylist so I have time to help since I make my own work schedules. Since I do not have a set work schedule if my services are needed for longer visits I can definitely make that happen. I’m able to start today or tomorrow and am very excited to help with your little family members 🐶🐱Thank you very much Ali Gant I am self employed so my hours are very flexible. I can also run home fast or to your house anytime to let an animal out for their feeding or walk. I have a safe environment and work on safety in others homes. The collar and leash will be put on before the front door opens so no running out the door is possible. Practice sitting before the door opens is a positive start to any walk.

“I highly recommend Maria. She is trustworthy, responsive and reliable. She contacted me when Molly was shaking due to fireworks in our neighborhood to make sure this is typical. 8 forgot to warn her and was very happy she reached out to me. Molly had a wonderful time with her and was not as excited to see me as I expected. (because she was content with Maria). This was my first time with a house sitter and I was so pleased to return home with my house as clean as I left it. I will be using her again.”

“Stephanie really understood how nervous I was to leave Baxter as well as his attachment to me. She took the time to send me pics and Baxter was snuggling her even before we left. I was able to enjoy my time away with no worries”

Nicholo C.
“Nicholo is one of the most caring pet owners I’ve ever known. He goes above and beyond to learn about the pet from the breed, to the diet best for them, how they learn and what makes them strive. His own dog Sora is the best behaved pup I’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with. I truly didn’t know dogs could listen as well as she does! I know first hand it can be pointed back on the training and love he gave/gives her daily. He is my go to when I have any pet related questions or concerns. I’m thankful my animals have him in their lives!”

Elnora pet parents share their Rover experiences
Kara did a wonderful job caring for our 2 small dogs. We were quite nervous leaving them for the first time with someone who is not family. It was a huge relief to get her updates and photos. We highly recommend her and will definitely use her services in the future!

Gillian is the BEST! She stayed in our home with our four fur kids for a week while we finally took a vacation. She checked in with photos often, asked questions when necessary, and followed any instructions we had. We hope she will be our routine sitter as we felt very comfortable as did our kids! Thank you again, Gillian!!
