About: I grew up having dogs and cats as pets throughout my childhood. I've had some formal training and experience volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society as a Dog Walker / Kennel Buddy as well as 8 months of full-time professional pet care experience working with a local company based out of the Sellwood-Moreland neighborhood. I've been a reliable and consistent pet sitter for friends both short-term and extended stays. Many compliments have been given about how clean their home is when they come back from their trip! It is an honor being chosen to take care of and loving your pets as much as possible! If I am staying overnight, I make sure to devote as much of my free time to being present and actively engaged with your pets according their specific needs. I do have a part-time job in which I work a couple of 8 hour shifts per week, but because it is a flexible schedule, I have the choice to schedule my days to fit around the needs of your pet(s). I believe in leaving your living space at least as clean or cleaner than I found it. I understand how huge a responsibility it is to take care of not only someone else's pets, but their home as well. If any issues arise, I notify you soon as possible. I love sending updates as much as you need - especially snapping album worthy photos and video clips so that you feel safe knowing how well loved and taken care of your pets are!

About: See my $20 Off QR Code in my photos! I love being around animals and have been around them my whole life. I grew up in generations of animal & nature-lovers. It’s a gift to be able to connect with animals. I love to return the positive energy an animal gives. I feel like every animal deserves kindness. I feel like I have a gift to be able read, understand, calm and relax and add happiness to an animal’s day. They are therapy for me as much as I feel I am for them. I’m happiest and genuinely feel most at-ease with animals. It’s important for me they feel comfortable with and around me. I know that much like human children, routine is very important to pets. If you need me to check in on them, feed /water them, potty breaks/short walks/close-by parks/play toss-the-ball, hug/cuddle/companion-time or stay at your home I am available to help. I develop unique connections to each animal I’m around and grateful to be around each one. Whatever a pet-owner needs me to do to help make their pet’s day better, I’m up for the challenge. Animals make my day, daily! Whether it be my friend’s dogs & cats or the Brahma bull that is up the road, I try to see an animal each day. I do have experience with animals that have high-anxiety, special needs and abusive backgrounds. I look forward to meeting and caring for your pet(s)! I am looking to assist with in-home day/night(s) stays, drop-in visits and walks. I’m available anytime and look forward to meeting you & your pet(s)! Although I do have a wonderful, small fenced-in yard, I live in an 800 sq ft home therefore, I think it's best to go where the pet is most-comfortable (their own home).

“Kaylie is really great to work with and she is awesome with my high-energy dog! She’s very prompt, communicates well, and I enjoy her notes/pictures on the Rover reports after the walks. Would definitely recommend her services.”

About: I have been a pet caregiver since I was a very small girl. I have helped Mama's deliver babies when needed. I have even done mouth to mouth and chest compressions on new horns a few times when needed. I have a huge heart for pets and animals of all kinds. My family of pets are trained either to alert me to go potty, use a box or crate themselves. I am able to give medication as needed and bathe if needed. My children are PET TRAINED. I have very strict rules in place about all animals big or small. I really hope you consider us in your upcoming needs. Happy New Year! I am always home except for appointments which we can discuss and decide if on those days I can meet your pets needs or if another sitter is better. I do not smoke in my home. I have 4 children, all pet trained and pet friendly. I do not have a large or fenced yard BUT I have an absolutely amazing park that abuts to my house so there is plenty of opportunity to run and play. I am at home all day for the entire week so I am able to keep a good schedule for my fury clients. I don’t have a problem with med or potty schedules. I listen to their needs. I watch for cues to hunger or need to potty. I feed and walk my pets or clients pets. When they need bathed I handle that as well. Medications in my house are no problem at all as over the years I’ve learned a lot about injectable and oral medications. I’m not the master for certain but I try my best to be your pets next best friend while I am with them.

About: I loved and cared for my special-needs (diabetic) cat, Roxy, for 17 years until she passed in 2019. Since then I’ve been traveling and spoiling my friends pets. More recently, I had the pleasure of loving Charlie, a 16 year old Rottweiler/Lab mix. Now, instead of having my own pet, I’d love to care for your pets and still be able to travel in between! Part time, semi-regular or on a weekly/home sitting schedule. My schedule as a freelancer is very flexible and can be accommodating. Sometimes I will house sit multiple pets for a month, other times walk a dog a few times a week. I’m flexible, just ask! These circumstances will vary widely as I’m often in a city for a few months at a time. Sometimes I can host pets, other times I can stay with them in their own environment where they will be less stressed. Other times are a quick checkup or walk while you’re away or at work.

About: I have been housesitting/ pet sitting since I was the wee age of 15! I have a passion for the pets I take care of to feel save, stress free and comfortable while their family is away. I am a freelance media creator including videography, photography and graphic design. Most of the time I am on my computer editing. If you have Wi-Fi I will be able to work fulling in-house giving you’re pets and plants my full attention. I try to work closely with owners to make sure all needs of the pets are met and to make this a pleasant experience for everyone . I like knowing any unique things about the pets, like if they prefer a belly scratch over a head scratch. I know animals can get stressed without their people so I want to provide and very safe and living environment for them to hopefully relax in.

About: Know what it's like to own dogs since childhood. Tell me what they love, like, and hate. Love to bring gifts for the dog(s) anytime. Also been a great house sitter and pet sitter for my mother in the past when she visited grandkids for a week in California. A page from the daily calendar for Life Hacks encouraged me to join and I do know someone on Rover.com named Stephen. He's a dog sitter, owner, and trainer. I live in a condo on the ground level with a patio and a view of Mill Creek. I'd prefer to house and/or pet watch at your place.

About: Whether your pup is young and full of energy or on the older, calmer side of life and likes to lounge, I am your woman! I currently provide daily care for my friends 7 year old Shih Tzu mix, as well as my neighbors 4 year old Husky. I would say I definitely understand Dogs more than I do people. I am a compassionate individual and I find that I connect with animals in a way that can sometimes be unexplainable. I am currently working from home so I have a lot of free time on my hands to care for any pets, I would like to turn this into a full time gig eventually I like to go by the house rules of where I am sitting. I currently do not have a place where I can bring pets, so I would travel to you and follow any rules and guidelines you have for your fur baby

“Alison LOVES animals. She is very caring and responsible to her pets. She loves any animal she comes across. I think Alison would excel tremendously with Rover.”

Shayla F.
“Shayla is not only a trusted person, but also a trusted friend. When I lived in Portland, she was the only person I ever felt comfortable with to watched my dog, Margot - who loves Shayla like family. The first night I got Margot, I had an event and left her in Shayla’s care. Being a rescue dog, Margot had firm boundaries that Shayla respected whole providing the space Margot needed to adjust at that time. I believe that’s why Margot loves Shayla as much as she currently does. Shayla is considerate, respectful, kind, and has a caring energy about her that animals adore. I recommend her for your pet caring needs.”

Janelle E.
“I would highly recommend Janelle to take care of your animals… She is amazing with cats and dogs, she has a gentle spirit that the dogs and cats pick up on. She has a gentle, soft spirit that animals pick up on from across the room. Nancy”
