“Kelly took such great care of my pup, Raleigh. She spent just over a week with Kelly and her dog Oscar. Kelly sent photos and video updates as the week went on. I wouldn't hesitate to book a stay with Kelly, and I know Raleigh can't wait to stay with them again!”

“I'm so glad I found Jake and Mischa! My dog came back after a 5-day stay exhausted and happy. She was well taken care of and I didn't have to worry at all, so communicative and genuinely care”

“Daniel watched our one and a half year old cockapoo for a long weekend. Our pup had a great time. Daniel sent daily updates and took him for walks. There is a fenced in yard which was great too! We will definitely book again for future trips.”

“Sandra took great care of my dog. She made sure to stick to his usual routines and habits while keeping me updated the whole time and even sent me pictures so I could see him while I was away. I highly recommend her services:)”

“Rocky loves staying with Kathryn and her family. She is very attentive, keeps me updated and also sends me pictures. I always feel at ease leaving him with her because I know he’s being very well taken care of. I’ve been taking Rocky to her for a while now and will continue to do so, I definitely recommend her :)”

“Chester was absolutely fabulous when we had him watch Rocco, our 100lb Catahoula Leopard Dog. My father passed way in a different state so we were trying to find someone to watch Rocco either in our home or theirs so we could attend services. He was a rescue a year ago and didn’t want to put him in a kennel or place where he would think he was being abandoned. After reading that Chester not only boards dogs in his home, but has a large property for long walks and a fenced in area for play, I felt confident contacting him. Chester was able to accommodate our last minute request and had a meet and greet that same day. Rocco met the other dog he was boarding at the time and being Rocco loves other dogs, he was excited to be there which made me feel even better. Having access to other rooms, I one this was the place for him. While away, Chester sent us pictures, videos, and a brief summary every day to let us know how Rocco was doing. We saw Rocco getting walks, playing with the other dogs, getting treats, playing with toys, and just relaxing. That put us at ease knowing Chester treated him like his own. I would definitely recommend Chester and we will definitely have Rocco there again one day.”

About: I take pride in my work and strive to treat each and every animal I care for as I would my own personal pets. I personally understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your furry family members and do my best to make the experience as amazing as possible for both pets and pet parents. I have worked in the pet care industry for over ten years now. I began dog walking in NYC, then managed a luxury boarding/daycare facility for dogs in East Syracuse. Since then I have also branched out into working in animal rescue as well. I also am currently pursuing a certification in dog training. I currently work for myself so my hours are flexible. I can accommodate dog walking most mornings, afternoons and nights. I currently offer in home boarding but limit it to three dogs per night to ensure the best quality of care. I understand that allowing someone into your home to care for your pet can be nerve racking, so I strive to be as mindful of this as possible. Some of the ways I ensure I do this are by speaking with the client before hand to go over anything specific they need done, entering the home in a safe and respectful manner, greeting the pet I'm caring for with enthusiasm, creating a bond with them & making the experience as fun and stress free as possible.
“Sheila was wonderful, she made everything so easy from being responsive to messages, to sending us pics and videos to let us know how Tractor was doing, to being flexible for both drop off and pickup times. Tractor was so happy there, we will definitely use Sheila again!”

“This was the second stay for Moose and Nutsy - Christina is fab! This time, my husband and I were traveling overseas and we were able to enjoy the trip all the more because of our complete confidence in Christina and the care she provides to our dogs. She treats them like part of the family! My dogs have fun being part of a larger pack (Christina has 2 dogs of her own) and come home very happy and healthy after their vacation :) We will definitely be booking with Christina for our next trip.”

“So accommodating and friendly. This was our first time boarding, and pretty instantly we knew our pup was in good hands! The pictures were so appreciated, and we’re incredibly grateful for the care our dog was given.”

“Alexis was so great! My Rosie absolutely loves her! Alexis sent me pictures every day with updates on her. When I picked her up after 4 days she wasn’t trying to pull me out of Alexis’ home which she usually does when I’ve picked her up from other places she’s stayed. Rosie was very well cared for and I highly recommend Alexis! Thank you for the love and care you gave her!”

“Abner was great! We just moved to the state and had no clue where to start with a dog sitter, but we felt comfortable leaving our pup with Abner very quickly. Very kind, and he clearly loves dogs. Our girl is pretty nervous but he took the time to make sure she was comfortable and she ended up having a great time.”

“Kat and Will were absolutely wonderful with our small but energetic dog. He had a proper doggy vacay in their gorgeous home. Absolutely no hesitation to recommend them to anyone. Thanks both!”

“Alisa did great with my two dogs. She is very knowledgeable with animals and treated them like her own. I would definitely recommend her to others for their pet sitting needs.”

“Grace was awesome! She took amazing care of my 2 dogs and made sure they felt at home in her home with her family. They got extra snuggles, slept in the bed like they love to and had a great outdoor space to play in. She sent updates daily with lots of pictures. I will be using grace again for my next trip! She even made them special treats to come home with.”

“First time using Rover and couldn’t be happier. Andrea keep us updated through out the trip and when we picked him up he couldnt seem happier. Highly suggest you book with Andrea for your dog sitting needs.”

About: I will give your dog(s) my undivided attention. They will be fed and taken for walks. I will engage with them throughout the day, as I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs. I will care for them just like they were my own pet. Being a dog owner myself, I understand how much they mean to their families. In case of an emergency at home or work, I will provide the necessary care for your dogs. I have a unique bond with every dog I meet and truly enjoy their company, ensuring they receive plenty of affection. In the past, I have cared for my family's dogs, feeding and walking them nearly every day. I am knowledgeable about how to handle dogs safely. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to dog-sit and walk the dogs entrusted to my care. Pet caring is one of my passion because they bring so much joy to our lives. With this being said after work I do appreciate the love my fur babies give me. I love to play and run with fur babies and I also get my weekly exercise in! I have a yard that they can run freely in. They will have access to my balcony for when they need cooling and some quiet.
“I am very happy with the care that my Dallas received while staying with Christina. Dallas is a timid dog and I was concern that she would have problems being away from home. But she was fine, Christina took good care of her and that means a lot to me. I like to travel twice a year and I will be using Christina for all of my future travels!”

“Sara was an absolutely perfect pet sitter!! She is very communicative and flexible. She sent us lots of pictures throughout the night and updates. Most importantly Wilson clearly had an amazing time time and we couldn’t be happier.100% recommend!!!”

As of August 2026, there are 141 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Eldred. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
100% of Eldred sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Eldred landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Eldred home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Eldred.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Eldred sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
