About: I have been a dog owner for more than 18 years and I've been around cats and dogs my whole life. My partner and I, along with our 4-year-old Pyrenees mix, provide a safe, loving space with tons of room to run, and heaps of belly rubs. I'm currently working part time as a property manager on a 50 acre estate. My partner works from home. So one or both of us is around. We both take our dog for a long hike/bike/one wheel ride every evening that we would love to take your buddy with us. If I have take your dog to work I have a Tacoma with a camper shell that I bring Stevie in. It's safe and lockable so you can be assured that your fur baby is safe. We live in a single family home with two floors outside the Meyers roundabout. We allow dogs on couches, beds and have indoor and outdoor dog beds. We are a block away from miles of trails down to the Truckee river. Also I love running my dog Stevie with my one wheel around paradise park. Which is around 4 miles round trip. So if your dog needs lots of running and is safe on or off leash Ive got the toy for them. When not walking or riding we have a large fenced backyard (especially for Tahoe). So they won't be couped up inside. Please let us know what your best friend needs and we'll do our best to accommodate.

“She was awesome- my first Rover experience and it went well! My dog was so excited to see her the next day so that says a lot. Easy to work things out with her and she is very responsive. I also received numerous photos of my pup throughout the day which I appreciate! Thanks Stephanie!”

“Melissa sent pictures of taking my girls on two walks, they were very tired by the time I picked them up which makes me happy. She also gave me a printed picture of them from there walk, it was a very kind gesture.”

About: I’m a daily runner looking for an exercise buddy. While I don’t have any pets of my own, I’m a huge dog lover looking to get outside with a furry friend and an excuse to go to the dog park. Let me give your dog some walks and scratches! I work full-time remote as a software developer from my home in South Lake Tahoe, so my schedule is very flexible. I can take your dog on regular walks at a time that suits you! There are many nice walking trails in the area, perfect for getting a dog outside. After one hour with me, your dog will be well-exercised and socialized!

About: I have had animals my whole life. I currently have dogs, cats, and horses. Responsible for caring for multiple neighbors' pets. References available upon request. I am a dog person through and through. I love to take the dogs for walks. My life already fits around dogs very well. My goal is 2- 3 short walks per day. I have a large fenced back yard. I have beds around the house for the dogs. I have a crate available. I feed at 7am and 5pm.

“Diana did a great job looking after our pups!! She came and stayed with them at our airbnb for the day. She sent updates and pics so we knew they were well cared for. We came home to happy calm dogs :)”

“I'm so very thankful for Vivian for looking after my dog. Scully loved her since the very first moment and seems like they had great time together. I wholeheartedly recommend Vivian (and her dogs) to everyone!”

“Anette was the best with Biscuit! We were worried about Biscuit being too energetic but Anette just knew how to handle him. Biscuit came back to us super happy. Definitely will leave Biscuit with Anette again, if she’ll have us, on our trips to Tahoe!”

“My dog Muffin has spent last weekend with Teeda for daycare while we were skiing. Muffin is normally very shy with strangers and takes a while for her to warm up to people, but the second day we are dropping her off, I can already sense she is getting comfortable with Teeda. Teeda also sent me pictures throughout the day of Muffin to let us know she is doing well and that really gave me the peace of mind when I am on the slope. Highly recommended!”

“Indy had a great time with Lisa and her sweet dachshund, bunnies and kittens! Lisa was super flexible and took our booking at the last minute, and we really appreciated her positive attitude and the fact that she sent pics throughout the day. We will definitely book with her the next time we are in town!”

“Perfect sitter to look after your pup in South Lake Tahoe. Tina took care of CJ for the day while we skied. She is so friendly and CJ ran right in the house with her. Tina will definitely be my first call any time I need a sitter in Tahoe.”

“Kerri was fantastic with my senior dog, Lola. These days, Lola often has anxiety, but Kerri put her right at ease. Lola also has emergency medication, which fortunately didn't need to be used, but I felt confident that Kerrie could handle it. I highly recommend Kerri!”

“Jan was AMAZING! I’d give 6 stars if I could. Jan took Toby to the beach and sent us loads of photos. Toby was exhausted when we got home(as any dog owner knows, this is a good thing!). Also shows that Jan was out and about with our little one, which we are also super appreciate of! We will use Jan again the next time we are in Tahoe.”

“Trina was Awesome! Trina and her family took her great care of Zuri. She sent photos and kept me updated with Zuris daily activities. She was timely very sweet. Book her! She will take good care of your baby!”

About: I've been a dog mom for over 15 years. I most recently lost my best friend Izzy, a big Loverador, after 12 years in 2020, and have since missed the joy a dog brings into the home. While I am not quite ready to adopt again, I am excited to take this time to help you in caring for your best friend the same way I would expect for anyone watching my own. I work full time from home and am pretty flexible in my daily routine. Breaks often include walks to either one of the nearby parks or open space USFS land; all within less than a mile of the property. I have a large unfenced yard with a comfortable lead for a bit of off-leash fun. I do have an older cat (15) who was raised by labs and is very comfortable around other dogs - not cats. Please no known aggresive dogs to cats.

About: I’ve been dog sitting on Rover for 4 years now and absolutely love it and love working with animals. Reach out with any questions or concerns. I'm currently working full-time but I am very flexible. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I have a dog of my own, Bella who is always around and can keep your pups company as well. I have a decent sized unfenced yard. I do prefer breeds that are leash trained, potty trained, house trained, and know basic demands like sit, stay, and that are great on recall. I live in Lake Tahoe closer to Meyers and have access to many trails near my neighborhood. The river is only a 10-minute walk too if you would like for your pup to go for a swim.

“Amazing caregiver, totally understanding and helpful. Sent all the pics and updates we could have hoped for and was beyond cooperative with our instructions. Our pup loved her time and almost didn't want to come home with us! 12/10 will book again!”

“Rory had a great time every day with Jess and her pups! He recently got neutered and still has his sutures in so needed extra attention. Jess 100% took great care of him! Rory loves to play all day and came back happy and tired from a fun day. Jess was communicative and it was super easy to coordinate everything. I’m so thankful we have someone Rory loves we can leave him with when we go skiing!”

Adam & Lauren G.
“Every time Adam cares for our pops we come home and they are just as happy as they were when we left! I feel at ease leaving the dogs, cat and chickens under his supervision as well as our garden! We have an old lady dog and a young lady dog that have different needs and Adam caters to both. I trust that when we leave our property there's nothing to worry about when Adam is taking care of our animal family.”

Courtney W.
“There are a lot of dog lovers out there, but Courtney is by far one of the best. She loves dogs dearly and takes care of them with as much care, responsibility and kindness as anyone I've known. She is our FIRST choice for watching our little Golden Retriever knowing he will get the best possible care and be treated as if he was her own dog. Courtney has years of experience lovingly raising her own dogs - big and small, taking them on walks, playing with them, minding their safety at all times and providing all kinds of emotional support. She's a wonderful person to humans as well so feel exceptionally lucky to have her as your dog's companion.”
