When Brooke sends pictures of Shadow stretched out, relaxed and happy on their living room floor, I know that he is feeling extremely comfortable and happy. This always means so much, particularly this weekend when I was dealing with a very stressful family situation. I know that Shadow is always getting the best care and a lot of love from Brooke, Ben and Tobi and Buddy. He is actually going back again in a couple of days for a 5-day stay that has been planned for a while. Once again I will be able to feel relaxed and not worry about him while I'm gone. About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember! I've owned and cared for a variety of pets over the years and have experience with animals of different ages, personalities, and care needs. One of the most rewarding parts of my pet-care journey has been fostering. I'm currently a pet care specialist and foster with Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) and have also fostered for other shelters in the past. Through fostering, I've cared for pets who were shy, energetic, recovering from medical procedures, learning social skills, or simply looking for a safe place to land before finding their forever homes. I also have two dogs who don't currently live with me, but I absolutely love spending time with them whenever I can.
