“Kirsten is a great pet sitter. We have 5 cats and she fed, provided fresh water, and cleaned out several litter boxes for 4 days for them. I appreciated her willingness to help me with this job. Kirsten sent plenty of pictures and my kitties like her. She did an excellent job.”

“Katie was amazing with our two crazy dogs! She was kind and respectful to our house and our routine. She cleaned up an accident for us and she came over to meet the dogs prior to the drop ins, which is super important! I would love to use Katie again in the future and I highly recommend her!”

“Thank you so much for taking care of our cat! She's very shy with strangers normally so it was great to see all of the photos of her coming out to greet you. Very professional and kind, 10/10.”

“Ashley was great with my dog! She was quick to respond, had great communication, sent me picture updates of Thor and took excellent care of him. I would definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs my entire life and am also very comfortable caring for cats. I have experience with pets of different sizes, ages, breeds, and personalities, and I’m comfortable with the everyday responsibilities of pet care, including feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, bathing, and keeping pets on their usual routines. My own dog requires a little extra care, which has given me experience with pets who have special needs. I regularly manage multiple medications, help with mobility by carrying my dog up and down stairs, and make sure they’re comfortable and safe throughout the day. Because of this, I understand that some pets need a little more patience, attention, or assistance than others. I’m happy to follow detailed care instructions and take the time to learn what makes each pet feel comfortable. Whether your dog is energetic and loves going for walks, your cat prefers some quiet company, or your pet needs extra help with their daily routine, I’ll give them the care and attention they deserve. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pets like my own and make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away! 🐾 I have a very flexible schedule with plenty of daytime and evening availability throughout the week. I’m able to accommodate different routines and am happy to work around your pet’s needs. I also have flexibility for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays! I want every pet I care for to feel safe, comfortable, and loved! I’ll always follow your instructions and try to keep your pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible, whether that means sticking to their feeding schedule, going on their usual walks, giving medications, or keeping up with any special care they need. I’m patient with pets and understand that some take a little longer to warm up to new people. I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, supervision, and of course, lots of love! I also know Pet CPR, so I’m prepared to stay calm and know what to do if an emergency ever comes up. When I’m caring for pets in your home, I’ll treat your space with the same care and respect I’d want someone to have in my own home. I’ll also send you plenty of updates and pictures while you’re away so you can know your pet is doing well and getting lots of love!

My husband and I often work different shifts so someone is often home with the dog(s). I have no problem moving work around to care for your furbaby! I have a fenced in yard and large home. There is only one dog and plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs or spread out. I am active and will run or walk your pet!
“Our dogs, Sammy and Bentley loved Jennifer P! They had a wonderful time together on the drop in visits. She came at the requested times, took care of them, gave a report and pics after each visit. Great job! We felt confident being out of town with Jennifer caring for our dogs . thank you!!”

“Angel is truly an angel. She is responsible and punctual. She took care of my cat Nusa for around two weeks. She answered all my texts and updated me on Nusa’s well being. She made sure Nusa has food and water at all times. I will definitely hit her up next time we are out of town.”

“Kristin did a fantastic job taking care of my dogs while I was traveling for work. I was a little nervous at first since they’re both large and can be strong on the leash, but she handled them great and even helped my lab improve his leash walking. I had total peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: I own two dogs myself, one being a 6mo old puppy! We are always having fun at the dog park, long sunny walks, or cuddled up on rainy days. I always have extra love to share. I am currently a stay at home first time mama! I have full availability currently and would be delighted to help out with your fur babies needs! It would be awesome to have a few routine pips/kitties to check up on weekly/daily. I can drop in and care for you baby while you’re away for a trip or long day at work, I have two overly friendly dogs that I can play date with if desired for a more tired/stimulated pup.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats since I was little. I’m currently a registered nurse. I love when the therapy animals come by, probably more than the patients do! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Eastover. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 92% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
