“Marissa was amazing! As a first time user of Rover, I was not familiar with the process. Marissa explained the steps to follow and accepted my booking even though it was very short notice. She even made sure to fit in a visit prior to the dog walking dates to make sure Shadow and I were comfortable. Shadow was well taken care of and I could tell from the various pictures Marissa provided, he was enjoying his time with her! I would not hesitate to book Marissa again in the future!! About: Professional Groomer, trainer, accepting pets in home for extended stay. Farm, fence, full play room, individualized care, puppies and aged dogs welcome! It’s a dog’s life! Grooming from in- home makes me a home based body. Full availability, 7 days a week - holidays included! Active home with quiet spaces and experienced care. Full care and integration into our daily routine if it works for your pet - we’re up early, and on the go - lots of socialization (or not, if that’s your pups jam!) play, enrichment time and experiences. As I work from home, as a groomer and on my hobby farm, my availability for in-home boarding is quite high! I generally am not gone from the house longer then 4 hours, unless otherwise noted at bookings. Sunday’s: due to how quickly I’ve become super busy (you guys are great, I appreciate all my clients and their pups!! So much!) I can only be available for drop off and pickup between 7-8 AM, and 6-8 PM. Sunday is Adventure and errand day - I will be in and out but we always do a super fun group activity (weather permitting!) on Sunday’s I utilize a lot of tools to keep everyone happy, healthy, and safe - kennels, gates, double leashes, double fencing, cameras (indoor and out!) and a very specific routine that I have found works for this little home. Please be aware - dogs need to be kennel trained to board here. I DO use them at feed time, and for nap times as needed, to keep all the dogs in my care safe. I ask that you send your dogs meals pre-packed, or in a reasonable (for their stay) container. Please leave “favorites “ that cannot be replaced at home. This includes beds! I provide fresh, daily, clean toys and blankets, plus raised cot beds. Feed time is 2X per day, with 2X per day “stimulation” snacks prior to nap time. I provide all snacks, but need to know if your pup has a special diet. If your dog has separation anxiety, I really need to know. It doesn’t mean I won’t take your dog, but it DOES mean I have to structure things differently for that particular stay, and rates will be discussed. My own dog has SA, so I understand; I just need the information to plan accordingly.

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was a child. I also have experience with a variety of large and small livestock and bearded dragons including one that has special needs. About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. As a working artist, taking the time to care for animals has been such a privilege and the perfect change of pace while I continue to work on creative projects. I have a German Shepherd that I keep separated from the work I do with other animals. I am located at a small farmhouse in Augusta that has a huge yard with two a-joining fields. There is more than enough room to explore the surround with your pet. I am also an avid walker so exercise is big for me generally.

About: I started a career in dog care in 2010. I have extensive experience with all dog breeds in boarding, day care, training, grooming and vet tech. I then began rescuing Pugs and have my 5th one currently. I love all animals and look forward to caring for yours! I have a flexible schedule. Let's see what works for both of us. I'm available as often as needed and I have reliable transportation available I have a dog park across the street but also plenty of regular walking trails if your pet isn't social. My dog is very friendly and always happy to make a new friend

About: I am an animal lover who would love to provide care to your pet so you don't have to worry about leaving them at home while you're at work or on vacation! My services include dog-walking, drop-in visits to check on and play with your pup, overnight boarding if you're away on vacation (at my home or yours), or dog-sitting for the day while you're at work. I have experience with volunteering at various animal shelters, caring for dogs on Rover for several years, owning several family dogs growing up, and spending time with my parents dog, Boomer (a rescue Shih-tzu yorkie mix), my sisters dog Lola (a mini schnauzer) and my in-laws’ golden retriever, Remi. As of June, we also have a golden retriever puppy of our own who adores other dogs, so it is important that your dog gets along with other dogs. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I love hanging out with the doggos and will be flexible with our activities based on their age, activity level and owner preferences. I love exercising and being outdoors so I’m always willing to go for walks or hikes with your dog! Or if they’re older I can stay in and relax with them too 😊 I have a very flexible work schedule and am home a lot so will be able to devote lots of attention to your furry friend. My husband and I live in a home on 5 acres on a quiet rural road in Maine that is perfect for taking dogs for walks or a swim in the pond (if their parents say yes!). Your dog will have plenty of room in the house and on our land to play and go for walks down our quiet road. I also am able to travel to your home to watch your dog too.

About: I have 3 years experience working in pet care professionally. I worked in a doggy daycare and boarding facility for 2 years. My previous job was working in a veterinarians office. I have a passion for animals and caring for them. I am currently in between jobs and I am excited by the prospect of looking after animals. I previously worked with animals in different capacities and would love to continue working in this field. I love to treat other peoples pets as if they are my own. I love to make pets feel as comfortable as possible in all spaces.

About: I am just a young 18 year old kid that loves dogs and is looking to spend some more time with them. While also making some money! I am currently taking online classes at the University of Maine Orono and am looking for a part-time job like this to make some money at the same time. Ever since I can remember my family and I have had 2 dogs in our house that each have problems of their own. But we love and care for them no different then we love and care for each other.

About: I’ve worked at 2 doggy daycares in the last few years where we did boarding. I’ve also worked in a cat boarding facility and have worked at pet stores for about 5-6 years. I was trusted with cleaning up after and giving medications to pets that needed it. I’m currently working part time in Freeport so I’ll have plenty of time to take care of your pets and spend time with them and take them on walks depending on weather. I live in a wooded area with access to tie outs so your pets and I could sit outside on good days and play. I have an extra room in the house where I can easily board your pet but would require you to bring a crate if they’re crate trained depending on the size of the pet. I do have two crates available that I could use if you’re unable to bring their crate. I have 2 cats in the household along with my fiance so they would have to be cat and man friendly.

About: I've been in contact with dogs as long as I've been walking and talking. My parents always had a pack of 4 running around the house and my brothers and I were frequently helping out with feeding, walking, etc. I used to spend a lot of my weekends with my mom’s poodle, trimming his unruly coat! I also have owned rats, fish and cats, and am comfortable caring for them, as well as birds. Just let me know if you have a smaller critter that needs some care! I have experience with farm animals such as horses and chickens, and am happy to watch goats, cows, you name it!! I work a remote job from home as a Peer Support Specialist, so while dog sitting, I can remain in your home all day to watch over your pets! I clicker train my dog Artemis and have mini training sessions everyday with her. I'm more than happy to include your dog if you let me know what you'd like to work on. I also have experience with reactive dogs, as my late mastiff mix came into my care with an extreme case of stranger reactivity that I managed. So, if your pup is timid or shy, I will for sure still take them on and give them the best experience catering to their specific fears. I know owning a reactive dog can be isolating and stressful. Let me take some of that stress away by being understanding of your pups and their needs! I’m more than happy to arrange meet and greets to discuss fido’s specific needs and let them get used to my presence. Understanding and listening is important in managing reactivity, and I’m more than happy to be that person!

About: I am a dog owner myself, to a 14 year old Australian Cattle dog named Edgar. Edgar used to be very energetic and required ample amounts of exercise, though he is still energetic, his old bones make it hard for him to romp like he used to. On top of that, I have an almost two year old who is obsessed with all animals, and think it would be a great opportunity to educate him early on dog safety and etiquette. It would also be nice to have more of an excuse to get out of the house and do something fun together! I have had experiences with many different breeds and sizes. I've been a dog lover my whole life, and I feel the most happy and at peace when I'm around them. I am more often than not the go to care taker for my friends animals when they are away. I am available, M-F 8am-1:30pm I hope you'll consider us to help make your pups life as fun as ours!! Pet care is family care, and that comes automatically. Your pup would be well fed and watered in a timely manner. And they would get and extra dose of love and cuddles free of charge! I care for clients pets as I would my own, which is how I care for my son, with immense amounts of love and devotion :)

Catherine K.
“I am so grateful I found her! My new work schedule was so hectic and I was exhausted when I returned home. Long walks with my Yorkie (9) and Yorkie-Palm (1) turned to us just standing in the front yard. I knew it wasn't enough. I knew I needed help, my dogs deserved more. That's when I reached out for help and came across Sky in her eye profile. I was nervous at first because I am really protective of my Yorkies. She arrived on time and communicated with me the whole time she is with my pets, which was very important to me. They absolutely adore her! She is loving and patient with my older Yorkie, but also fun and energetic with my pup. I'm also grateful that I can trust her to watch my pets when I have to go out of town. My dogs are not neutered so they don't have many options when it comes to pet hotels. You can tell she has a lot of knowledge about caring for dogs, but what I love is her friendly attitude and the passion she has for what she does. Thanks to her my dogs are well taken care of when I am away and also get the right amount of exercise on the days I don't have the energy to give them the walk they deserve. Again I am so grateful for such a reliable doggy caregiver, I think she is the best and I'm sure your dogs will think so too!”

Caroline C.

“Caroline responded quickly to a last minute request, provided detailed info on Pepper's walk, and pictures. I'll be using her again. Highly recommended.”

Larissa M.
“Larissa is one of the most dependable and responsible people I know! The amount of love she gives her own dog, Tessa, is proof enough of what a great dog caregiver she is. Highly recommended!”

Rory A.
“Rory took wonderful care of my two dogs. One of my dogs is a fragile senior and Rory was very gentle and loving with her. I was nervous to leave her but Rory's gentle touch was just what she needed. My other dog is obsessed with playing fetch. Rory did a great job playing with him until he got tired and then stopped. He is the type of dog that will wear himself out so I'm happy she recognized that he needed to rest. Rory is definitely an animal lover. I feel completely confident leaving my dogs with Rory and I will have her watch them again for sure!”

Keagan M.
“Keagan is one of the most loving and caring people that I know. He has helped raise and take care of 3 dogs as well as owned several smaller animals while growing up. He absolutely LOVES his pets and treats them as family members. I am 100% confident that he would treat others pets with the same level of love and care.”

Savanna R.
“You couldn’t ask for anyone better to watch over your pets, very knowledgeable, caring, attentive and ALWAYS reliable. Your pets will be in great hands!”

Kalarr D.
“Kalarr is one of the most responsible and loving pet caregivers that I have known. She has 1 dog, Edgar, that she has raised from a puppy and is now 12 years old. She also has 3 cats. Kalarr worked as a server for many years and I've personally seen her in action working with customers and they all love her. She is a kind and loving soul, not only with animals but with people. We have had Kalarr care for our dog and cats on many occasions and we always travel carefree knowing that our animals are in the best hands possible. You can rest assured if Kalarr is caring for your pet they are being loved, snuggled, well fed and yes, you may even find them a bit more spoiled upon your return.”
