About: As a current Animal Science major at UMass Amherst and a graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School’s Animal Science program, I have hands-on experience working with dogs in many different settings, including training, handling, daily care, and veterinary care. What sets me apart is both my professional knowledge and my genuine love for animals. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including energetic puppies and senior dogs who may need extra patience and attention. I understand animal behavior, how to prioritize safety, and I will always make sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. Whether your dog needs a long walk or simply companionship and affection, I will treat them with the best care possible! I'm currently working part-time while home from college, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide your dog with the attention, care, and exercise they deserve. I am comfortable safely crating your dog if needed and always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. During walks, I stay alert and am aware of my surroundings, including nearby animals or potential hazards, to ensure your dog remains safe at all times.
About: I've had dogs my entire life and all have lived healthy long lives. I've pet sat for friends and family. I think all pets should have the chance to stay in the comfort of home and be cared for while their owners are away. During my school year (September to June) I am available weekends and during school breaks. During the summer months I'm available daily. I look forward to discussing options with you. I treat all pets as if they're my own. I have a little boy who can't get enough puppy/dog time. I'd love for him to join me and learn more about pet care for when he gets his own dog. We have an elderly dog currently and he wants a puppy. We will be kind, playful, and loving to your fur baby.
“Liza is patient, communicative and professional. Our dog is nervous to new people. She greeted him in a way that was appropriate and is building his confidence to trust her and enjoy his walks. She helped me to navigate this app. We feel grateful that Nochi has someone with experience, skill and empathy.”

About: I've lived with animals all my life, cats, outdoor farm dogs, small indoor dogs, to pitties that need a warm blanket and cuddles during storms. I like to study animal behavior in my free time and really feel that I can understand animals of any size and shape. I pride myself on being someone reliable to contact on short notice for emergencies and things of the like! I have my own car to get around efficiently and I'm almost never busy. I will follow the rules of the home and any specifics for each pet, I run on THEIR schedule to keep them as comfortable as possible while their humans are away.
About: I have done in home visits and dog walking for pets of all types. 3 years of experience. Tons of availability. True animal lover at heart. Many references available. I am currently not working and I'm looking for a few regular gigs to keep me busy. I love to walk and hike. I love people and animals in general. I currently am a homemaker with a fenced in yard, three cats at home, and a dog nephew who gets dropped off for at my discretion for either a long day of daycare or a sleepover.
“Samuella was great & Royce was really happy with her! She gave me a great update on how the walk went. I definitely recommend her if you need someone for your pets!”
“Trusting someone with your beloved pets can be scary but I know my dog is in the best hands with Cassidy. She is patient with my hyper (and sometimes very stubborn) dog, reliable, and very responsive. It was an easy choice choosing her to care for my precious pup.”

About: I've been looking after dogs and cats since I was 12! They've ranged from my grandma's shitzu to dog sitting mastiffs! I've even watched reptiles like ball pythons and geckos. I've walked, bathed, fed, watered, and loved them the whole time. I, myself, have 2 bunnies, fish, and a ball python. All together the most dogs I've ever watched at the same time was 28! It was 5 adults dogs, one puppy the equivalent to a toddler, and 22 puppies! I am willing to go to the cape and islands for house sitting! At the moment I'm hoping that pet care will become a full-time job. At the moment I am able to do any day and any time. I, sadly, do not have a cute puppy or kitty to play with your fur baby, however it just means they get more love from me! I can lift a 75 pound dog if needed and have the resources to contain one if necessary.
“My dog got a cut on her ear walking in the woods, and Brittanie responded perfectly. She reached out to me, we discussed what to do, and she waited for my sister to arrive. Turned out to be very minor, but I was so grateful she was extra cautious and communicative. I feel really comfortable with her caring for my Millie.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
