I cannot recommend Lindsey enough. She stayed with my dogs over Christmas and New Year’s and went truly above and beyond. She left my house absolutely spotless and took incredible care of my dogs, treating them like her own. While we were away, one of my dogs had an unexpected reaction to her seizure medication and needed to be hospitalized. Lindsey handled the situation with such calm, care, and professionalism. Her communication was excellent, she kept me informed every step of the way, asked thoughtful questions, and worked closely with the vet and me. Because of her, I had complete peace of mind during what could have been an incredibly stressful situation and was still able to enjoy my vacation knowing my dog was in the best possible hands. Lindsey is responsible, compassionate, trustworthy, and very experienced with pets. I am beyond grateful for her and would absolutely hire her again without hesitation. Any pet would be lucky to have her as a sitter!
Shawnee was so wonderful with our dog Benny. He is an older dog with separation anxiety so we always feel a little nervous leaving him but Shawnee’s excellent communication, kindness and professionalism put us at ease. She followed all of our care instructions and took the time to get to know and meet his needs. I especially appreciated the photos and updates she sent throughout the stay—I could tell he warmed up to her and did well while we were away. We will definitely be using her again!
I’m writing this against my selfish desire to want to gate keep Mariah, but she deserves to be known for her impeccable service. We left our pets in Mariah’s care over Christmas break. As someone who struggles with anxiety leaving my pets, I can tell you that Mariah not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every way. She is professional, extremely kind, and goes above and beyond at every turn. We came home to very happy and well loved pets and when I tell you that she left our home spotless I’m not exaggerating. I’ve been using rover for 5 years now in various cities across Canada and US and Mariah is easily the best sitter we’ve worked with. We couldn’t have asked for better sitters for Rex. He stayed with Kasey and Alyssa over Christmas and was treated like part of the family. He even received a Christmas gift. Rex had a wonderful time playing with their cats and dogs, and it was clear he felt comfortable, happy, and loved the entire stay. They are incredibly caring, attentive, and thoughtful, and kept us at ease knowing Rex was in such good hands. Gemma did an amazing job watching Jacks and Mia. She checked in regularly and sent videos and pictures to keep me updated, which gave me great peace of mind. She took them on nice walks and made sure they were happy and well cared for. She truly went above and beyond .
Alexis is such a responsible and respectful pet sitter -- I can't say enough about her! She brought all the character out of our rambunctious dog Sora and he was so well taken care of during our most recent trip. She updated us multiple times each day with pictures and notations explaining what was going on. She asked for permission to feed him special treats that she had on hand and even took special precautions on hot days to assure that he was pleased with his setting. I highly recommend Alexis to anyone in need of a great honest pet sitter.
