About: As a retired pet lover with decades of hands-on experience, I now dedicate my time to caring for your pets full-time. Over the years, I've raised and loved both dogs and cats—large and small breeds, young and senior pets, and those with special needs. Your pet will be treated like family in my quiet, pet-friendly 5 acre fenced home. Why Choose Me? 🐾 Retired: I am home all day, so your pet gets round-the-clock attention and care. 🐶🐱 Experienced: I've cared for pets with medical needs, separation anxiety, and special diets. 🏡 Cozy & Safe: My home is calm, clean, and free of young children, perfect for a stress-free stay. 💊 Medication? No problem: I’m comfortable administering pills or injections if needed. 📸 Updates: I’ll send daily photos and messages, so you can travel with peace of mind. Location: Minutes away from Devil's Den Spring, Blue Grotto and Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens. Let’s Meet First! I always recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a good fit for everyone. I’d love to get to know your pet’s routine, quirks, and how I can make them feel at home while you're away. As a retired pet lover, caring for animals is a natural and enjoyable part of my everyday life. I am home full-time, so your dog or cat will never be short on attention, snuggles, or potty breaks! My daily routine revolves around the pets in my care—morning walks or playtime, regular feeding schedules, quiet nap time, and evening wind-down cuddles. Whether your pet needs active play or a calm environment, I adjust my day to meet their needs. I also keep their routine as close to home as possible, including meal times, medication, and bedtime rituals. With no work distractions and a flexible schedule, your pet gets my full focus every day of the week. ***Minutes away from Devil's Den Spring, Blue Grotto and Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens. In my calm, pet-friendly 5 acre fenced home, your furry family member will be treated with the same love and attention I give my own senior Dachshund, Ginger. At 14 years old, Ginger is gentle and spends most of her day relaxing and napping. I maintain a clean, cozy space with no stairs or hazards, and I closely supervise all pets to ensure safety and comfort. I follow each pet’s routine—whether that’s a special diet, medication schedule, or favorite toy at bedtime. I only board one pet at a time (unless there are two pets from the same family) to ensure everyone gets plenty of one-on-one attention. Because I’m retired and home full-time, I'm always nearby to keep an eye on things, provide comfort, or just offer a warm lap and gentle ear rub. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I work hard to make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and right at home. ***Minutes away from Devil's Den Spring, Blue Grotto and Cedar Lakes Woods & Gardens.
“Zakary was a wonderful dog sitter. They communicated before my stay as well as during my stay. They took amazing photos of my dogs. They have a wonderful yard in the front of the house with obstacles for your dogs in a very safe gated area. I would absolutely use them again during my next trip in Gainesville. Oh, and they gave my dogs, home-cooked chicken and rice with my permission.”

“Our pup got A+ care with Kimberly. She was also very communicative throughout our dog's visit and sent us cute pictures showing how much fun she was having. Highly recommend!!”

About: First time clients take $20 OFF your first booking with promo code AMANDF33991 🚨 Important Update: Limited Availability 🚨 Hey friends! I'm now working full-time (roughly 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) but still offering pet care — just with a few changes to keep things safe, sane, and high quality. 💬 Here’s what’s new: • I’m only accepting one family unit at a time — whether that’s one dog or several from the same household. • My listed availability is capped at 2 dogs, but if you're a multi-dog household (3+), feel free to message me directly. I can open up availability for your crew as long as you're all from the same pack. • Even though I work during the weekdays, I still come home for midday potty breaks. • This setup is especially ideal for senior dogs, pups with anxiety, or anyone who just needs a calm, quiet place to hang while their humans are away. Thanks for sticking with me through the schedule shift! I’m still all about providing calm, experienced, personalized care, just in a slightly more streamlined way. Stress-free, All Day Farm Fun For Your Furry Family Members Former Pet Care Specialists for Best Friends Petcare @ Walt Disney World. I grew up in a family run shar-pei kennel. As an adult, in addition to my own pets, I worked as a kennel assistant, pet sitter, vet tech (ER and Internal medicine experience) and as a pet care specialist for Disney and PetSmart pet hotels. I have also worked with pet rescues my entire adult life. I have experience with dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, horses and livestock. I'm very comfortable dealing with anxious pets and those with significant medical needs. I am currently working in human medicine but animals were my first love and are still my passion, and my life is incomplete without them. I am looking forward to transitioning back to pet care exclusively by the end of the year. I currently have 2 rooms in my home, so my availability is set to 2 pets for boarding, because I can house 2 "family units." For multi-dog families please message for updated availability.
“Miranda was great! She took care of my dog and three cats like they were her own. They came back clean and no worse for wear. She worked with my schedule and was very flexible. I appreciated all help and understanding!!”

“Maria is FABULOUS with both animals and people. She always goes above and beyond in terms of her care of both my dog, Lou, and I. Maria provides daycare to Lou during the week. Lou enjoys playing (and sunbathing) in Maria's big back yard along with her two sweet standard poodles and also enjoys watching television with her children. The moment Lou met Maria he fell in love with her, and he runs straight to her door and to her the moment we arrive at her home (after being welcomed and inspected by her poodles, of course). I am repeatedly using Maria to care for Lou and will continue to do so as long as she is willing to take us in. I tell her often I am so grateful to have found her.”

“I’m so lucky to find Ana. My dogs have never been to a dog daycare before but they had a really good time in Ana’s place. I worried about one of my dogs, Noopy since she is a little fearful of large dogs. But Ana is more than happy to help and resolve my concerns. It means a lot for me and I can’t describe how thankful I am!”

About: I treat every pet like they’re my own because I know how much they mean to you. I don’t just “watch” animals I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and little quirks so they feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’ve worked with both puppies and senior pets, so I understand how different their needs can be. Whether it’s helping reinforce potty training and leash habits for younger dogs, or giving extra patience, gentle care, and medication support for older pets, I adjust to what your pet needs. You’ll never be left wondering how things are going. I send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: Give your pet a stress free, loving experience and give you total peace of mind. Throughout the week, I stay flexible so I can accommodate different routines, whether it’s early morning visits, evening checkins, or multiple visits per day. I also build in time for updates, so pet owners always know how their pet is doing. Since I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, it’s not just a task, it’s something I look forward to, making it easy to give each pet the care and attention they deserve. I provide care based on what makes each pet most comfortable, whether that’s in my home or yours. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and quiet companionship, so they feel safe in their own space. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean and consistent.
“Cannot say enough good things about Lesly and Josh! They took such special care of my Lily. They were able to work with me and be flexible when I was stuck at work and couldn’t collect her right away. You can tell they truly care about the babies in their care ♥️”

“I could tell Bella was comfortable with Paola. I know It’s not easy trusting someone with our furry baby. I recommend Paola to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters I’m retired from the USAF and am home 90+% of the day. I run a few errands sometimes and an hour at gym but my personalized, attentive approach to every pet’s unique needs. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic youngsters to senior pets requiring gentle care and medication management. I focus on creating an stress-free, loving environment so pets stay happy and healthy while you’re away. Whether it’s extra playtime, special diets, or senior support, I tailor every visit to your pet’s comfort and routine. Your pet gets extra attention and care when you choose my services. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I prioritize each visit with care, making sure every pet receives consistent attention, love, and companionship. I provide care in both my home and your pet’s home. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, medication, or cuddles, I ensure a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment.
About: ☀️ Summer Safety Advisory ☀️ Due to Florida’s extreme heat and humidity, dogs are at serious risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke in as little as 10–15 minutes of exertion during peak sun hours. Because of this, all walks during late spring through early fall may be shortened or adjusted for safety and replaced with enrichment-based activities, shaded sniff time, or indoor play when appropriate. Your dog’s health and comfort always come first. 🐾 Pet Care Experience I provide thoughtful, enrichment-focused care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs, energy level, and comfort. My goal is not just to “get through” a visit, but to make sure your pet feels safe, understood, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a background in wildlife sanctuary rehabilitation and have served as an adoptions director, which means I’ve worked hands-on with animals of all temperaments, ages, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications ( just not injections), managing multi-pet households, and supporting shy, anxious, senior, or special-needs pets. My approach to pet care is informed by ongoing education in dog behavior, body language, and force-free, reward-based training. I pay close attention to stress signals, pacing, and environment, and I adjust each visit accordingly. Whether your dog needs structured activity, calm companionship, or space to decompress, I aim to meet them where they are. 🦴 Bonus Enrichment Option I also manage one of Gainesville’s top-rated private Sniffspots, The Zoomie Zone, located in Midtown. This fully private, reservation-only yard is ideal for dogs who benefit from off-leash play without the pressure of public dog parks. Many clients choose to incorporate Sniffspot visits into walks or drop-ins as a way to provide safe zoomies, sniff-based enrichment, or low-distraction decompression time. If you’re interested in adding a Sniffspot visit to your booking, feel free to ask. Returning clients can also receive discount codes for independent bookings. Whether we’re heading out for a structured walk, enjoying shaded sniff time, or keeping things low-key indoors, I focus on providing calm, attentive, and reliable care you can trust. 🗓️ Schedule and Booking Process To make sure every booking is safe, smooth, and a good fit, I require a free 15 minute meet and greet for all new clients. This takes place at the location where care will happen and helps ensure your pet’s comfort, safety, and compatibility with my services. -Exceptions Cats and puppies under 5 months do not require a meet and greet -Returning clients can fast track bookings Please schedule your meet and greet at least 72 hours before your first requested booking so we have time to coordinate properly. After your initial meet and greet, you are all set for future bookings. If you move to a new home or apartment, you are welcome to schedule another meet and greet so I can learn the new setup. 🚶♀️ Dog Walks and Drop Ins I batch dog walks and cat drop in visits into efficient routes using flexible time windows. This allows me to reduce travel time while still providing thoughtful, attentive care. Dog care windows Standard visits typically occur between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM Morning visits may begin as early as 8:00 AM Evening visits are available for dogs who need extra flexibility Cat care Preferred visit window is 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM If medications or strict timing are required, I adjust visits to meet those needs Dogs are typically prioritized earlier in the day due to restroom needs, but all pets receive the same level of care and attention. 🐾 Premium Boarding Boarding is a high end, in home service designed for clients who want a fully hands off experience. At this time, boarding is available only to dogs who already have an established walk or drop in routine with me. This helps ensure your dog is comfortable with my home, routine, and resident pets. While boarding with me, your dog will -Live in home as part of the household -Be the only boarding guest, receiving one on one attention -Receive daily enrichment and engagement -Enjoy supervised access to my private Sniffspot for play, sniffing, and decompression -Enrichment may include -Food puzzles such as West Paw Toppl meals -Nature walks or hikes in San Felasco, weather permitting -Field trips to quiet recreational fields when no other animals are present -Most dogs return home happy, fulfilled, and ready to nap. 🚨 Behavior Expectations and Safety The safety of my personal pets is a top priority. Dogs boarding with me must be comfortable around cats and respectful toward my personal dog. If a dog shows aggression toward any resident pets, boarding may be ended immediately. In these cases, care will be converted to drop in visits at your home for feeding, potty breaks, and companionship. 🚗 Premium Pick Up and Drop Off For added convenience, I offer a luxury pet transport add on. I can personally pick up and drop off your dog along my daily walking route No handoffs needed, simply leave your dog at home This service is priced to reflect the time, travel, and personalized care involved ⛔ Important Booking Policies -One free meet and greet is included for new clients -Additional meet ups should be booked as a walk or drop in to cover time and travel -All pets must be listed on your Rover profile prior to booking -You have 48 hours after the meet and greet to confirm your booking before the time slot may be released -House Sitting and Drop In services follow a 7 day cancellation policy If you have questions or special circumstances, I’m always happy to talk things through. In my home, pets and plants are family, and every animal in my care is treated with the same level of respect and attention. I understand that each pet has their own personality and needs. Some thrive on companionship, others prefer play, structure, or quiet encouragement. My goal is to be a steady, calm presence your pet can rely on while you’re away. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or hosting them for a field trip at The Zoomie Zone, I focus on creating a safe, enriching, and low stress environment that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing. During each visit, you’ll receive a detailed update through the Rover Card, including notes on meals, potty breaks, mood, and anything noteworthy from our time together. Occasionally, if your pet gives me a particularly great moment, I may also send a favorite edited photo directly. Unless something truly needs your attention, I won’t interrupt your vacation, work trip, or conference. I aim to be both your pet’s advocate and your peace of mind while you’re away. Safety is always my top priority for both your pet and myself. If a pet displays aggression, severe anxiety, or behavior that creates an unsafe situation, I will still ensure their basic needs are met, including food, water, and potty breaks. However, I may shorten a visit to avoid escalating stress. This policy is in place out of care and caution for everyone involved. 🛏️ Crate and Confinement Requirement for Boarding For boarding stays, dogs must be comfortable with crate use or confinement behind a baby gate or similar barrier. This is a non-negotiable requirement. At night and during times when dogs are not being actively supervised, boarding dogs are safely confined. This allows my personal pets appropriate rest and space, and ensures all dogs remain safe when I am asleep or briefly out of the house. Crates or gated areas are used as calm, neutral spaces rather than punishment. If your dog typically uses a crate, pen, or gated area at home, please let me know their routine so I can keep things as familiar and low stress as possible. If a dog is not currently comfortable with any form of safe confinement, boarding may not be the right fit at this time. I’m always happy to discuss alternatives or help determine whether a gradual transition would be appropriate.
“I am very happy with Teddy's recent daycare stay with Chair! Chari is communicative, flexible, and accommodating. Teddy was really taken with her and her boyfriend and even attempted to follow them into the house when they went to retrieve his things as they were returning from a walk. I was a little worried about what Teddy's behavior might be due to him being puppy with a lot of energy. Chari reassured me several times that everything would be fine, and it certainly was. I plan to use Chari again for daycare for both, Teddy, and my dog Lou. I highly recommend Chari for pet care!”

“Alexander was AWESOME. At the last minute he was able to dog sit my grand pup Dakota, when my daughter was not able to find care in Tallahassee. Finding trusting individuals to take care of your precious babies can be hard. Alexander sent us pictures and check in several times to keep us posted on her health progress.”

About: • SATURDAYS ARE FOR FREE. As a seventh-day adventist I observe the Sabbath, so I do not charge for Saturdays. However, I challenge you to use that money to help someone in need!🙏🏻 • 8 nights or more are $23/night (first dog)! • 1 dog + 1 cat $30/night • $15/day (first dog) for 3 days or more of weekly daycare. Daycare is closed on Saturdays. • I encourage last-minute bookings! If your pet is socialized there shouldn't be any problem. In any case we'll talk about the details and I'll see if I can help you out💪🏻 • Important! Offers might be denied or future rates adjusted for pets with undisclosed misbehaviors. So please, I'd appreciate your honesty before meeting, especially if it's a last-minute booking. • Both my apartment and the surrounding neighborhood are very quiet and peaceful. There's a lot of green areas AND a small dog park where they can walk (or run) freely! • Your pet will be part of the family while they're here! They'll receive frequent attention and love if they need it or simple constant caring company if they just want that. • Cats are more than welcome! We love cats too—especially my mom. And don't worry about my dog; he has been surrounded by cats since birth, so he simply ignores them. • I’m new to pet sitting, so take advantage of my current rates while I build up my experience and reviews! I paid for my background check already so I DO want to be here. I'm excited to meet new furred friends!😊 I occasionally need sitters myself so I know how hard it is to find one that's not painfully expensive AND that you're comfortable with. That's why I want to provide the experience I'd love to receive myself: an affordable care for your pets IN COMBINATION with the most approachable and relaxed atmosphere for you as possible, ESPECIALLY if you're going away for weeks and if you have multiple pets! Let's face it. You're only looking for someone who'd simply be there and take care of them because there's no other option. You'd do it yourself if you could! So shouldn't you find sitters that make you (and your wallet!) feel at peace with leaving your loving companion behind? That's why I'm here to help! A pet parent for pet parents =) (¡Español es mi primer idioma, por si se te hace más cómodo/fácil hablarme en español!) I am at home every day, all day long—except when I go out for groceries, which takes no more than two hours. Aside from that, I stay present and keep myself busy in the apartment. I cook, exercise, read, and am currently also studying for a professional certification. I don't have any visitors, nor do I go out for anything else. I moved in a few months ago. Here there's only my dog Mylo, my mother and me. • All of your pet's physical and emotional needs will be met—that is my absolute priority, including their absolute safety. • Regarding male dogs, since my dog is a bit picky at first with most of them, it may be necessary a 5-10 minute 'Parallel Walk' at the meet & greet. We'll just walk around the pond in front of the apartment 1 or 2 times. It’s the safest way to make sure both dogs are 100% comfortable before they share a home. Only then we'll know if I can accept your doggie. • Hey, we all want this to work out but if the dogs don't like it, well....that's why we do the meet and greet: to know if the choice fits everyone involved and choose accordingly🙏🏻 • I would NEVER intentionally harm an animal. I'd never lay even a finger on pets (to discipline them) that do not belong to me. • I never give human food to pets. Occasionally, I share certain fruits with my own dog (specifically those that are safe and non-toxic for them) or, occasionally, a boiled egg; aside from that, nothing else. BUT, your pet will strictly follow the diet you specify. • I clean the bowl and pour fresh filtered water daily. • I have set my account available to no more than 2 pets at a time; however, if you wish to ensure that your pet is the *only* one in my care (other than Mylo I mean) during their stay (for your own peace of mind), I can arrange it for a small additional fee. It is worth noting that, regardless of the number of pets present, I guarantee that I can manage their interactions appropriately, as I am always at home. • If the pet has socialization issues to the point I'm not able to serve other pet parents, that might incur in additional fees. • I operate with complete transparency, and my mission here is to serve you—to be your assistant and EXACTLY the help you're looking for right now. I'll provide as regular communication as you need and pictures of your blessing daily. My goal is your peace of mind and their comfort! • I encourage you to ask me whatever else you need to know!
