“Katy was heaven sent, or found. Even the best dog lover has had a difficult time winning over our golden doodle. This was not the case with Katy, she was loved at their first meeting. Our other fur baby loved her equally. We are to be counted among Katy's number one fans. We appreciated the pictures and videos while we were away. We will be welcoming you back again. Thanks Katy!”

“Jenna is amazing. She is very communicative and took great care of our girls. Our dog had a medical issue while we were away and she handled everything perfectly while keeping us updated. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I am a second year veterinary student who has worked as a small animal veterinary assistant for about 3 years. I have experience in caring for senior pets and younger puppies/kittens as well. I grew up with dogs and cats, and now have a three-legged cat of my own. I am very reliable, thorough, and will care for your pets as my own. I’m currently home for the summer after my first year of vet school, so I have plenty of time to help you care for your fur babies! My current part-time work/volunteer schedule will allow me to have a flexible schedule to meet you and your pets’ needs. I have one dog and four cats at home who all get along very well and their comfort is the top priority. I will ensure your pets safety and comfort needs are met based on your instructions given. I am able to crate your animals, leash walk only if needed, and keep a close eye on them when going outside. If your animals need to be kept separate at any point such as meal time, I will be able to accommodate for that as well.
About: I’ve taken care of multiple animals since the age of 7. I’ve had 3 different dogs and dog breeds, and they were always loving and happy to be in my care. I currently have an 11 year old healthy yorkie who has had such a happy life filled with love, people think she’s a puppy still. I am naturally knowledgeable about important information when dealing with animals, and I’ve also been a temporary care taker for my grandma. Im currently an 18 year old who’s finished with highschool, aspiring to become a student in esthetician school so I have plenty of time for your adorable fur babies! I’m available from 6 am- 7 pm. I have a fenced backyard, an alarm system on my house, a quiet, clean home, and a calm, kind 11 year old female yorkshire terrier at home along with my mom and my 5 year old little brother.
“As always, Matthew goes above and beyond what is asked of him. His interaction with our kitty is excellent, even when jasper wakes him up at 3 AM. Matthew is attentive to jasper and our home, which is much appreciated. He's terrific!”

“Caleigh was absolutely wonderful with our three animals. One of them is older and requires extra care and medication, and she handled everything with so much patience and attention. She sent daily updates and pictures, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats pets like her own. We would not hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable sitter!”

“I was away for about one week and Ruah stayed with my babies. She took great care of them. I will definitely be a returning customer! I highly recommend her services if you are looking for someone who truly cares for your pups!”

About: Hi! I’m 25 years old and a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your furry (or feathered!) family member needs a walk, a quick drop-in visit, overnight care, or extended sitting, you can count on me to provide reliable, loving care while you’re away. I currently have an Australian Shepherd mix and a pet bird, so I’m experienced with both dogs and exotic pets. I’m comfortable caring for pets of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and I understand that every animal has unique needs and routines. I’m also experienced and confident in administering medications, whether that means pills, liquid medications, or following specific care instructions to keep your pet healthy and comfortable. My friends, family, and previous clients consistently describe me as dependable, compassionate, and attentive. I’m proud to have glowing references from pet owners who trust me to care for their beloved companions, and I work hard to earn that trust with every visit. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priorities. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, playtime, and updates so you can enjoy peace of mind while you’re away. I’m currently available for overnight stays, drop-in visits, dog walking, and other pet care services, and I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets. I can’t wait to give them the same level of care and affection that I give my own! Pet care is already a part of my everyday routine, so caring for additional pets fits seamlessly into my schedule. I start and end each day caring for my own Australian Shepherd mix and pet bird, making sure they receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, attention, and love. Because I’m already committed to a structured pet care routine, I’m able to easily incorporate walks, drop-in visits, feedings, playtime, medication administration, and overnight stays for my clients’ pets. I understand how important consistency is for animals, so I make it a priority to follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Whether it’s an energetic puppy that needs extra playtime, a senior pet requiring medication, or a shy cat that just needs some quiet companionship, I’m happy to provide personalized care that helps your pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and well-being are my highest priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s unique routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and secure in my care. Whether we’re out on a walk, playing at home, or simply relaxing together, I remain attentive and patient while ensuring they stay safe at all times. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is happy, loved, and in good hands.
“Danielle was amazing with our animals! She was super flexible with our last minute plans and was fast to respond to texts. We also enjoyed the several pictures we received while we were away. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Bailey was willing to come over to the house four times a day while we were traveling. She was responsible, loving and sent us lots of pictures. She was responsive and overall made us feel relaxed about leaving our two doggies behind.”

“We have had Christina watch her dogs in our home a few times now. She is great with communication and sends us pictures to keep us updated. She is very reliable and we trust her in our home. I would highly recommend her.”

“Lauren and Layla were great! Very understanding and patient with my timid dog and wonderful communicators during my trip. Both of my dogs were happy and well cared for when I got back.”

About: When I was 10, I kept my tamagotchi Dalmatian alive for 2 months. If for some reason that doesn't impress you...buckle up and read on. Most of the sitter profiles on Rover claim their "Pet Care Experience" and "love for animals" began in childhood. They will use every animal interaction they've had in the past 25 years as “Pet Care Experience.” Um...no. Let's break this down. 1. You feeding Cheetos to the family of feral cats living in that field next to your Elementary School. Might have earned you a scouting badge. However, it doesn't count towards your "experience." 2. Loving animals as a kid is not something unique. Nor does it equate having "experience." Is anyone here shocked by the news that a child loves animals?? No, of course not. Ever asked a child what their favorite animal is? Only to have the answer be, "None. I hate all animals. Animals are the worst." Nope you haven't. (If you have, that child is most likely going to be a serial killer or work at a slaughter house. Proceed with caution.) Alright.. moving right along... here's a little about me: From birth to now I've had a wide range of animals. The list is long but it ends at most birds. I don’t do most birds. Well Ducks? yes. Sparrows, parrots, albatross? No, no thanks. I did have peacocks growing up and my dad owned an Ostrich farm for several years.. which is super weird. Let's move on...Don’t really do cats in my home either. For multiple reasons. Bird & cat pets aside. Im pro-pet. Hip hip!! Sidebar*** (we have a bearded dragon and a Greek Tortoise. If you have a reptile or small animal that need to be boarded or dropped in on. we would be happy to help you with that.) Like any normal pet owner, I enjoy keeping my animals alive and healthy. Not once have I tried to starve my animals or neglect them in such a way that would render them a spot on the sad commercial with the “Arms of the Angel” song playing in the background. Those owners are the worst. Lucky for you...I am not the worst! Sarcasm aside…I’ll treat your pets like I would want someone to treat my pets. I’ll accommodate their/your needs and give you peace of mind as you vacation or do time in prison. (No judgements) If your animal has medical issues, a drug or alcohol addiction, gang affiliation, is running from the law or needs special care. I got it. If I don’t got it… I’ll Google it. Chat GPT is amazing! Duh! Unless your Pekinese needs a kidney transplant or your doodle wants a face lift. I should be able to keep them happy! I walk my dogs every day, if your pet wants to join us, great. If not, great. Sleep on the bed or sleep on the floor? Again don’t care. Im good with both. Last and certainly not least… There is 1 thing I will not do. I refuse to call your dog a fur baby or any other lame name like that. Why? Because it's weird and stupid. I cringe & immediately check out of a conversation when someone starts talking about “furbabies.” I just can’t. Plus your pet doesn’t like it either. They just put up with it because you feed them. I’m a stay at home mom. While my kid is at school and I do normal homemaker things. We have some after school activities & events but for the most part we will be around. These questions….I’ll make sure to put away all of my broken glass pieces and lock the door to the room where I keep all the poisons and explosives… whatever. My house is safe, I have a yard, real safe. If you have special requests just tell me and I’ll do what you ask me to do…unless it’s weird or gross.
About: I have always loved animals. I very much care about their comfort and wellbeing. I’m also always ready for a good puppy or kitty cuddle! I have a pretty open schedule usually. I just need a heads up in advance. For drop ins I usually prefer afternoons, but it’s interchangeable. I can stay with your dog for most of the day usually, if needed. I’d also be happy to feed, play with, and walk them.
“Maddy was wonderful with Reesi! She took such great care of our dog and showed her so much love. I couldn’t have been happier when I returned from a long weekend away. Maddy’s communication was excellent and gave me peace of mind the entire time. I will definitely use Maddy again and will happily recommend her to our friends.”

FAQs for House Sitting - East Bend
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 564 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across East Bend. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred East Bend walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in East Bend maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Bend choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Bend. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
