About: Hi! We are Nia and Miguel and would love to welcome your pet to their vacation home! We both have experience with many different sizes, breeds and temperaments! We live in a very quiet area with a large fenced in backyard for lots of running and playing. We both have over 10 years of experience working with cats and dogs and have always had pets in our homes. We look forward to speaking with you and spending time with your fur family! Nia works from home and has the ability to provide extra care and attention to those who need it. Between both of our schedules, we are able to provide day services and overnight boarding if needed. I have a large fenced in backyard with 3 very friendly adult/elderly mixed breed dogs to keep them company. All 3 of our dogs have been around other dogs and cats for many years have no bite history.
“Madison, Remington and Sweet Maggie made our Nyla feel right at home! She was hesitant at first but they were so patient with her. Their home is so warm and welcoming with a perfect little backyard that Nyla could in and out of at leisure. We loved getting all of the sweet photos and videos as well. Nyla was happy and appropriately exhausted when we picked her up. They will be regulars for us for sure!”

About: I had a dog when I was younger and I loved him and taught him tricks. I also have 7 cats who I love so much. I work during the week. I have a big yard, however it's not fenced in. I could take your dog out on a leash so they are safe from other animals and the road. I also live in walking distance to the Harmony Trail in Shelby, NC.
“Carrie was phenomenal. One of our dogs had a health scare a few days before we were supposed to leave and she managed three medications with multiple doses per day and kept a close eye on her while still caring for our other dog and making sure they were both so so happy. Couldn’t be more grateful for her help while we were away.”
“Alayna was AMAZING! She watch my brand new pup on super short notice and took such good care of my girl. She updated me all day and clearly knows what she’s talking about when it comes to animals! I’m so happy with my experience and will absolutely have her care for Libby again 🫶🏼”

“Jharasen was amazing! Lulu had the best time and was so well cared for. I could tell she was comfortable and happy the entire stay. I really appreciated the updates and the attention she was given—it made me feel completely at ease. It’s not always easy leaving your dog, but I would 100% trust Jharasen again. Highly recommend! 🐶💛”

“Took excellent care of my two dogs even though it was a last minute request. They came back tired from all the fun they had, i would absolutely recommend and will definitely request again when im in town.”

About: I’ve taken care of many dogs since I can remember. Many neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to look after their lovely pets! I will adore them as if they were my own! I work a job that is remote throughout the week and I do find myself having a lot of extra time because of that. I have a pretty open schedule during the weekends so I’m very flexible and I’m willing to stay at your house or bring them over to interact with my own pet. I do have a fur baby of my own who is super friendly and loves everyone and anyone that will pay attention to him. “
About: I was a volunteer rescuer and foster home for several animal rescue organizations, I have cared for elderly animals as well as puppies, I know how to administer medications. I am available every day of the week, as well as in the evenings, I can take them for morning or afternoon walks, depending on the pet owner's preference. I don't have my own pets, I live in an apartment that does accept pets in a quiet neighborhood with green areas to walk peacefully.
“Our puppy had a great day at Amy's. He got along with her dog and she sent me photos of them playing. I was able to relax knowing that he was in good hands while I was at work. I would definitely book Amy again if I needed a dog sitter!”

About: We both grew up on farms and have been surrounded by animals of all kinds—from livestock to household pets—for our entire lives. Caring for animals is second nature to us. I personally trained our 8-month-old Golden Retriever, Charlie, using positive reinforcement techniques, so we are very familiar with dog behavior, setting healthy routines, and maintaining positive play etiquette. We are also fully comfortable administering oral or topical medications on strict schedules. We welcome friendly, house-trained dogs looking for a safe, active, and experienced home-away-from-home! Pet care fits seamlessly into our daily routine! One of us works full-time from home while the other works short 4-hour shifts, meaning your dog will enjoy near-constant human presence, regular bathroom breaks, and constant supervision. While someone is home the vast majority of the time, we may occasionally step out for short errands or dinner (1 to 3 hours). During these brief periods, guest dogs are kept safe and comfortable indoors alongside Charlie. We live in a quiet, planned community with a 4-foot fully fenced backyard where dogs can run freely and play fetch safely in shaded grass. Guest dogs are treated like family and are welcome to relax on our covered couches for post-play naps. We take daily 15-20 minute neighborhood walks and often visit local spots like Martha Rivers Park on weekends. To ensure complete safety, we always require a Meet & Greet prior to booking to confirm temperaments align smoothly.
About: I have had animals my whole life. Couldn’t imagine life without them. I have had English Mastiff/Great Danes( not afraid of some drool) to Jack Russell’s. I currently do not have any employment. I’m extremely bored at home. I would like to get out of the house doing something I know I would love. My husband travels for work so we currently live in a large fifth wheel RV. We have one dog a 6yr old Great Dane. Also one calico cat about 8 months old .

About: I am home everyday all day long, have 6 years of fostering experience with a rescue and 16+ years caring for animals. I can take any dog no matter what size! We also have a fenced backyard, so your pup will be safe and happy here! We have 3 dogs (1 is 15, 2 are 5) and they love all dogs and will play and snuggle with their new friend. We have had 27+ fosters meet our dogs and they got along with every single one of them :) We live in Gaffney on 30 acres so small hikes and walks are possible, and we have a fenced yard for routine potty trips. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 744 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Earl. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Earl commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 744 sitters in Earl, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
