“We love leaving our dogs with Jennifer and Mark! They always send pictures and updates. And we never worry because we know they are well taken care of! I highly recommend them for your boarding needs.”

“We were heartbroken when our normal sitter we found on here moved away! We tried a few others on here and none loved them like Jessica did… until now! I felt completely at ease as soon as we walked in and Lucy made herself right at home. Alexa has kept me updated the whole time and loved her like she was her own. She has become our new favorite dog person!”

“Elizabeth took amazing care of our Goldendoodle Daphne for two nights. She sent pictures and kept us updated while we enjoyed a family vacation at Great Wolf. She was very communicative and friendly. We will definitely use her again when we return to GW! This was our first experience with Rover and our first experience with our dog being left in the care of someone else. Elizabeth helped keep our anxiety way down!”

“Erica was great. She kept our two large breeds for a weekend and kept us up to date on how things were going and sent pics! Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“My husband and I left our two dogs for the weekend and we’re a little nervous as we had never used Rover before. Rita was in touch and communicating before we even dropped them off, which was nice. Drop off really put us at ease because the dogs loved Rita and Joe and got along well with the other pups there. Rita sent us photos the whole time we were gone,”

“This is the 2nd time boarding my blue heeler with Samantha, and everything was great! Samantha is easy to work with, has great communication, and most importantly, takes great care of my dog. I can’t say enough great things!”

“My husband and I found ourselves with an unexpected opportunity to assist a family member during a move. With short notice, we requested Lori’s services to dayboard our dog, Callie. She responded almost immediately and was very willing to help us out. We chose her as a sitter because of her very positive reviews, and I see how she earned them. She is very personable and really seems to enjoy caring for the dogs entrusted to her. Callie settled right in and from the pictures and video that Lori shared with me during her stay, I can tell she enjoyed herself. I would not hesitate to use Lori again in the future should the need arise.”

“Ashlyn P took our male Cat into her clean and pet friendly home. She took such good care of him over the week he was with her. She was great communicating with us via text. She sent us photos of Big Guy and we could tell by his look, he was enjoying his vacation. We were out of state in NY during the terrible Nor'easter Storm and had to delay our return drive twice. Ashlyn had no problem with keeping our Big Guy the extra 2 days we were delayed in our return. I highly recommend her for Pet Sitting in the Tri Cities area. There are none better.”

“Molly did a great job with our elderly dog. Pumpkin has medication requirements is deaf, has cataracts, and has some mobility issues. We know she was treated and cared for by Molly the same way we would do. Pumpkin may argue better (I have never taken her for a dog treat cone”

About: My name is Annabell, and I'm a self-proclaimed animal lover with years of pet sitting experience. I grew up surrounded by pets of all shapes and sizes, and I've always had a soft spot for furry friends. I’m currently working part time at the animal shelter I specialize in caring for dogs and cats, but I'm also comfortable with small mammals, reptiles, and even the occasional exotic pet. I'm always up for a challenge, and I love learning about new animals and their unique needs. One of the things that sets me apart from other pet sitters is my ability to connect with animals on a deeper level. I pride myself on being able to read an animal's body language and understand their needs, even if they can't tell me in words. I'm also experienced in administering medication, so you can rest assured that your pet is in good hands. I know that pets are more than just animals - they're family members - and I treat them with the same love and care that I would want for my own pets. When I'm not pet sitting, you can usually find me exploring the great outdoors with my own furry friend. I'm an avid hiker and nature lover, and I believe that spending time in nature is just as important for pets as it is for humans. If you're looking for a fun-loving and experienced pet sitter who truly cares about your furry friend, look no further. I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I understand trust is a big factor in finding the right sitter. I always do meet and greets beforehand to make sure you and your pet are comfortable with me. In my time of being a pet owner myself and professionally sitting I have a developed a high understanding of the care, temperament and just fun activities for the the doggos and cats to enjoy! ( and of course all your farm, exotic and aquatic friends)
“Julie was AMAZING! She sent me multiple updates each day to ease my anxiety and took such great care of my pup! My pup is high energy and a lot to deal with and Julie handled her perfectly. I absolutely recommend trusting Julie to watch your pup!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Dykes Mill home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Dykes Mill.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Dykes Mill sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
