“April did an outstanding job caring for our fur babies. She was caring, intentional to their individual needs, she spent quality time with them ensuring they were exercised daily. April exceeded all expectations and we would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind to care for their fur babies while away.”

About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up I had two Lhasa Apso pups and two cats so caring for pets has been a big part of my life. As they got older, I helped give them their medications and make them feel comfortable. Over the years, my family has added three pups - two Toy Poodles and one Shih Tzu, who I have helped raised since they were puppies. I also have two of my own: an Australian Shepherd and a Bernese Mountain Dog, both whom I have raised since they were 8 weeks old. Through them, I have lots of experience in puppy training and recognizing that each pup is unique and has different needs. I also have experience caring for cats. My childhood cat developed health issues in her senior years, and I helped care for her through monthly vet visits and multiple medications, giving me first hand experience with the extra patience and attention senior cats need. My family also added a friendly tuxedo kitten to the bunch and my boyfriend has a shy cat as well. So I am comfortable caring for cats with outgoing or more reserved feline personalities. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I always strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they're in my care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or a senior needing extra patience, I'll care for them as if they were my own. I have plenty of time to look after your pup or feline! While I prefer to watch your pet between 8-5 so I can also spend time with my own pets, I understand there are times after work or on the weekends when you need to leave your furry friend to go and enjoy yourself without feeling guilty leaving them behind. In these cases, I can absolutely make exceptions. Every pet has their own routine, preferences, and unique needs so I will take the time to follow your care instructions closely. Whether that's sticking to a feeding schedule, administering medications, or going on walks, I will make sure your pet's routine stays as consistent as possible. My goal is to help your pet feel safe and give you peace of mind knowing your pet is cared for and loved while you're away. I'll care for them the way you ask while also treating them with the same affection and attention I give my own pets. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, so I will do everything to care for them!
“Tiffany was great! Very friendly and personable. Easy to talk to. My kitties took to her right away, in fact the more skittish of the two approached FIRST! I have a somewhat complicated care routine with three litter boxes in two different rooms that are inside cabinets and electronic feeders. She had no trouble with any of it. I felt like she genuinely cared about my fur babies. I felt safe having her and leaving them in her care. She made certain to lay eyes on each of them to be sure they were okay, and reached out to me when one hid so well she couldn’t be found. She played with them too. I’m very happy with her work! Definitely recommend her and would hire her again!!”

“Carrie was great! She watched my little guy Xander for a week and did drop-ins in my house. Carrie played with him and cuddled him and I was very happy with her service. She sent lots of cute pics! I will definitely use Carrie again in the future!”

“Bryce and his wife were able to come visit my kitty with only a days notice. They took their time to let him warm up to them and sent me pictures and great updates. Thankful to have some peace of mind that he was doing ok while I was gone.”

“James did a wonderful job taking care of my fur babies. They absolutely loved him and this is my second time as a drop in sitter where he stopped by and took care of my boys. He walked them, played with them and took care of their needs. I would highly recommend him and would surely book with him again.”

“Lindsay did a great job taking care of our cats while we were away. It was nice to come home and not have to clean up after the cats because Lindsay was so diligent about doing everything I requested on her visits.”

About: Hi there! I’ve spent my life surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes, from energetic pups and cuddly cats to chatty parakeets and even a hedgehog or two! I’ve personally cared for 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 parakeets, providing each with a loving, attentive home. Over the years, I’ve also looked after countless pets for friends and family, always making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your pet is furry, feathered, or something in between, you can count on me to treat them like one of my own. I specialize in multi-pet households and understand how to balance different needs, personalities, and routines. Whether it’s a walk around the block, some playtime in the yard, or just keeping your pets company while you’re away, I’m committed to making sure each one feels safe, seen, and loved. With me, your pets get a caregiver who’s full of positive energy, patience, and a whole lot of heart. As someone who works part-time, I have the flexibility to dedicate a large portion of my day to pet care. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening playtime, I can easily fit your pet’s routine into my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, and I always make sure each pet gets the attention, love, and activity they need to feel happy and comfortable. Please note: During house sits, I spend the majority of my time at your home, making sure your pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, and care. The only exception is that Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays I am typically away for work from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Outside of those hours, I'm dedicated to spending quality time with your pets and keeping their routine as consistent as possible. If your booking is made more than a week in advance (or with at least one week's notice), I may be able to adjust my work schedule to provide even more availability. Feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to accommodate your needs! When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat them like family. I always take time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and preferences so I can provide the most comfortable and familiar environment possible. In the client’s home, I stick closely to your instructions and your pet’s usual schedule, whether that means feeding, walking, administering medication, or just spending quality time with them. I’m respectful of your space, clean up after myself (and your pets), and make sure everything is just as you left it.

As of September 2026, there are 592 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Dyal. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dyal. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
