“Marissa is AMAZING!! She took wonderful care of our fur babies and sent pics and updates. I would 1000% recommend her!! Our babies were so relaxed and showed no signs of stress upon our return. Being able to vacation and know that your pets are happy and loved at home, is priceless!!”

“Leigh was absolutely fantastic with our dogs! She was timely and communicative throughout her stay. We could tell our dogs were well loved on while she was there. Highly recommend!”

“Kacy P. was an amazing sitter for our three fur babies (two cats and a dog)! We recently took a ten-day vacation and needed someone who would love our pets as much as we do, and Kacy was the perfect match. I was extremely hesitant at first because I am so attached to our dog, Ripley—and both of us suffer from a bit of separation anxiety! But Kacy was wonderful, sending consistent updates and videos. Even my family members on vacation with me kept asking every day, 'Can we see today's video of Ripley?' Kacy gave loads of attention to Ripley, Happy, and Delilah, taking fantastic care of both our pets and our home. They couldn't have been in better hands! I highly recommend Kacy to anyone looking for a sitter who will do far more than just check in, but will truly shower your animals with love.”

“Katherine did a awesome job, my dogs absolutely loved her. I think they miss her after she left, she was very attentive to them and I felt good about leaving them in her care while I was gone.”

“My dogs loved Andrea from the moment she walked in the door. She was great with communication and sending pics while we were gone. I felt completely confident that they were being well taken care of. It was a great first experience with Rover, and I will definitely use Andrea again!”

“Katie house sat for us and loved on our lab, Fran! She is probably one of the best communicators and sent frequent pictures and videos throughout our 6 day vacation. She was also kind, courteous, and trustworthy. We will definitely reach out to Katie for our next vacation when Fran needs care!”

About: I have professional experience as a daycare manager in a boarding facility. I have cared for puppies, elderly dogs, and pups of many temperaments. Plus, I have photography experience - so you’re guaranteed to get some amazing pictures. Pet sitting is my full time occupation, so your pups will get my undivided attention while in my care. For overnight care, I may need to leave briefly to drop in on other pups at their home. I am very diligent about keeping your home secure while you are away. I can assure you that you will return to a home that is just as you left it. Our home is best suited for small and medium sized dogs. We have a clean home with no kids, and a large yard with a tie out. We have two cats.

I am happy to meet initially to learn more about your pet and how to best care for them. I look forward to getting to know this member of your family! “Mara did a fantastic job with all our animals while we were away in our 6 day vacation! She house sat with them for the full time and kept them from being lonely and sad. Everyone was well taking care of and the house looked as good if not better than it did when we left. We got daily pictures of everyone and many updates throughout the day. We will definitely use Mara again in the future!”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

“Ranae took very good care of my two cats while I was away on a long vacation. She sent daily pictures of them and kept the house very clean for us upon arrival back to our home. She was very communicative and helpful while we were away! We will for sure be rebooking with Ranae again! THANK YOU RANAE!!!”

“Vanessa went above and beyond to take care of my senior dog. It's comforting knowing my pup was so well taken care of while I was gone. The peace of mind is so important! I'm looking forward to having Vanessa in my home again.”

“I've already rebooked with Ruth. We did a meet and greet with the pups since I have one that is very skiddish and is hesitant with strangers and by the end of the visit my pup would sit on the couch with Ruth! I felt very good knowing my pups were safe and being looked after while I was gone. She was phenomenal with the timing of my travels and wonderfully respectful of my home. I am beyond excited to have a reliable dog sitter, highly recommend!”

About: I have grown up with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I’ve dog sat for family, friends, and neighbors. I’ve helped train my family’s dogs in the past so if there are any reinforcements or cues necessary on walks I’m more than capable of helping to keep a routine! I’m currently full time graduate student, but I have some free afternoons with plenty of time to walk your pets! I am also flexible to do drop ins for potty breaks and evening feedings. I do not have any pets but I can help care for your pet with walks! If there are specific needs your dog requires such as to be crated after walks I am more than willing to follow any directions for making sure your pet is safe and comfortable!
“Gabrielle took great care of our pups (one who is under 4 months) and house while we were out of town. She is very friendly, responsive, and flexible, I would recommend her to others and use her in the future. She was great with the dogs and sent many cute pictures and updates. We didn’t have any worries while we were gone.”

As of August 2026, there are 1,239 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Dutzow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dutzow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dutzow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dutzow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Dutzow. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
